  2. man i love them discoverred them through their cover of "bring the pain". such a great song.
  3. mr. ed WAS real. he was one part horse, one part peanut butter, one part actor in a recording booth and one part cool.
  4. The Dillenger Escape Plan - "Pig Latin"
  5. it was kinda funny. i havent seen the UK one.
  6. that wasn't my sig. that was saturnine's and it was something i said to him because i'm a whore and i totally want to do him, ok? jeez. ;) so are you lobbying for saturnine to have a spot in the band??
  7. avalanche tour - toronto - before the show, my fondest memory would be when the_rat_who_would_be_king and the rest of us got bored. so i encouraged him to blow up his complimentary condom from edge 102 and start hitting it around like a beach ball. before we knew it, there were flying condoms aimed at the dears and their lousy set. (just for the record, i like the dears, but i didnt enjoy them live... they were really boring to watch. openers arent supposed to put you to sleep) wlrrr university/college tour - barrie - my memory of that show would be the drunken idiots moshing to 'apparitions'. i wanted to kill someone and it looked like matt did too. also, before the show my friend mike went upstairs to the washroom and he got to pee beside matt good!!!! i went upstairs after he told us what had happened and i got to see matt making good use of 'the first class', our student lounge area, and eating pizza.
  8. the afformentionned "beatles or led zeppelin" are outstanding bands when it comes to the criteria they meet in regards to what a great rock band is. however, is it fair to compare today's bands with them, especially when we're entirely aware of the fact that music is constantly changing (tastes, styles, sounds). what we listen to hardly resembles what those bands sound like, even the so-called "rock" bands. what i'm trying to say is, that if you constantly compare today's bands with bands from the past, you're going to come up dissapointed. no matter what, we tend to romanticize the past. people are always saying things like "no one these days is good as led zeppelin was", because they continue looking for an aesthetic that no longer exists. hense, our (meaning pop culture's) self-destructive infatuation with "retro".
  9. Nancy Sinatra - "Bang, Bang"
  10. as i said before, music is music. the good comes with the bad. one year is never better than another. i think the chances for discovering good music now are a lot higher, especially since mp3 blogs are surging in their popularity. also the chances for being popular but remaining independent and keeping your integrity are seemingly higher as well. i'm not sure if that's true or not though.
  11. Bloodhound Gang - "Hell Yeah"
  12. Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds - "Let The Bells Ring"
  13. A Lodging for the Night
  14. sedated19: watching is fun, but being manager is better. you're hired. ecnarf: i can't really promise you sex with the band sluts. or at least, in that quantity. that whole "free will" thing might get in the way. the fans part is no problem, just make sure they're over 18 for me please, and try not to video tape yourself.
  15. The Fire Theft - "Heaven"
  16. yeah sure. i'd prefer it if you stabbed us in the back somehow too. you know, lot's of drama and press for when our greatest hits/live album comes out (which will probably be right after our first album). i'll be the artsy/quiet/brooding one who usually stands at the back during photo ops, etc.
  17. i put it in my signature because i had nothing witty to say.
  18. Aqualung - "Brighter Than Sunshine"
  19. too slow. Nirvana - "Aero Zeppelin"
  20. managers are welcome. any kind of background in the field???
  21. no, more like "what the fuss is all about" kind of special.
  22. eeeep. that is what it's there for. although, i've been turning the plugin off lately. it does funny things to my winamp sometimes.
