Whatever happened to Iran's talks with the E.U. about abandoning it's nuclear weapons/nuclear energy program? I thought the EU had succeeded on those talks or something. Either way, we've been down this road before. I saw CNN showing sattelite images of "Iran's Nuclear Program". This can't be good.

I'm just about 6 feet tall, and I doubt I'm over 130 pounds. Start ME a foodbank!

Nope, I believe in Canada having a stronger military, too.

I thought it was actually funny, considering I was expecting it to be whoring out all the jokes from Family Guy. I really liked the part with God on the phone, "Hold on, I've got a call on the other line, it's Cheney, I've got to take this. *goes to other line* Yes, Sir?"

Israel Is An Apartheid State
ecnarf replied to Cherry Poppin' Daddy's topic in Politics and Debate: WRONG!
In the sense that Hitler is the founder of Israel, then yes, Israel is an apartheid state. If the holocaust had never happened, it's conceivable that Israel wouldn't have been created as a Jewish state. Guess that's a fair comparison. -
It was actually a b-side from Underdogs, the original lyrics were posted on the Manifestos.

Ryan Malcolm got a Juno? Allow me to swallow the vomit that just came into my mouth for a second...

I'm as leftist as Ghandi and as libertarian as the dalai llama, to put it in perspective. Yeah, I'm really liberal, but I do have some elements of conservatism in me, like when it comes to finances.

It was in the first manifesto. Get with the times.

Is there a difference?

Is there even a limit now?

That's what I've already got, tried to convert, and it didn't work.

I agree with you there. I'm not a militarist by any means, but Canada needs an army that's self-dependent and capable of carrying out its own missions. It's not a matter of sending troops into harms way, it's about doing the right things. Kosovo was about stopping a genocide. We sent troops with the U.N. to Rwanda, and there are several peacekeeping missions with the object of removing landmines and improving the quality of life, mainly in the Balkan states. Don't try to confuse our pride in the military and individual soldiers (who are among the best trained in the world) with sending them into dangerous conflicts. It's not about danger, it's about doing the right thing. Is going into Iraq to give the Americans a boost necessarily the right thing? I don't think so. Sending troops into Darfur to protect them against genocide would be the right thing. Sending troops into countries to protect citizens against rebel groups would be the right thing to do, not sending troops into an already occupied country.

I'm sorry, I wasn't aware you were the only human being on the planet that's allowed to help out.

Post number (x/a^2)-(y/b^2)=1 My post is in a hyperbolic shape.

The military's been ignored for way too long now, there needs to be a serious project put in order to make it sustainable. I do realize that it's a humanitarian issue needed to keep security in Iraq, but it was created out of a false war. And Bush going around trying to mend alliances, asking for help in the war on terror is his way of admitting that they screwed up and need help. It's not my intent to screw over the Iraqi people just to spite the states, really, it's a tricky issue. Also, why is it that if the U.S. doesn't need us, why is any help we can give needed?

Hmm, I've only got 3 songs left to get on that list. I guess I'm not doing too bad. Anybody wanna trade?

Hey. I've only recently downloaded Comfortable Criminals from the HOSAM site, and I've been wanting to play it in iTunes. Unfortunately, it's a "realplayer presentation" file, and the music convertin program I have won't be able to convert it. Does anyone know of a way I can convert it into a more conventional music format, like AAC or mp3?

Buddy, if Canadians were against the war in the first place, we're not about to run to the U.S.'s aid now. We've seen how the war went downhill, how the U.S. gov't and media has mistreated us since then. Remember that only about 20% of Canadians would have voted for George Bush in the last election if they could. Besides that, just because Canada and France have a history of acting together doesn't mean much. The largest pressure we faced about the war was from the United States to join, and it's the same deal right now with missile defence. Don't think we're incapable of making our own decision. Also keep in mind that majority of Canadians only would have supported Canada joining the war in Iraq was if the U.N. had approved of it - not quite making our own decision, I'll admit, but seeing as George Bush is about as unpopular as Brian Mulroney, there won't be much public support for sending Canadian troops to Iraq, even if it is for the sake of helping out the Iraqi government. If the United States made this mess, why should the rest of the world clean up?

I don't know if he does, he probably doesn't. He's often said that LOTGA was an abomination against music, or the worst album ever made... something like that.

A little while ago in the States, a woman was charged for several thousand dollars worth of income taxes, because she had done the math and not paid a certain percentage of her income tax, claiming that was the percent of the government's budget that went to the military. Stuff like this needs to be stopped. I don't care if they agree with abortions or not, we can't have everybody deciding that they won't pay their taxes because they don't like what the government is doing. A valid form of protest? No, I think it's pure snobbery, "My religion says that the unborn have rights, so I won't pay my taxes." Give me a break, join a grassroots pro-life organization and do something productive. We all pay taxes whether we like it or not.
