  1. Thanks. You didn't have to say anything, but I appreciate that you did. You did 10 times more than his customer service team has done in the past 1.5 years.
  2. I think it's very appropriate to name it. He stiffed numerous people of a paid product. We're never going to get it, so you might as well spill the beans. It will at least give us some kind of closure What's the big deal? It seems like you're trying to protect him.
  3. 1. It looks like the Patreon Exclusive vinyl will have all of the songs intact. According to Patreon (Oct 3): I hope that means all eight digital files will be included as well. 2. When I was on the True Fan tier on Patreon, I saw the track listing for the Patreon Exclusive vinyl. Side A has 4 tracks, and side B has 4 tracks. Yesterday, I saw on Facebook that Matt is finishing getting the new album jackets signed. I guess they weren't shipped out on November 29th. I look forward to receiving the Patreon exclusive vinyl in the mail and seeing what it looks like. What's on the Patreon exclusive vinyl (quote from Patreon, Mar 26):
  4. Steve, thanks for all the videos and recordings, especially the song featuring MEGGO. What a treat! I really like the song Smoke. I don't think I would have heard that song live in Alberta, so thank you. I didn't know MEGGO was from Montreal. They have so many cool bands coming out of Montreal like Half Moon Run, Sam Roberts Band, and now MEGGO.
  5. I apologize for digging up a thread from 8 years ago. I happened to stumble upon the EMI Music Canada Archive on the University of Calgary’s website today. I did a search of Matthew Good Band, and they currently have 64 items in their digital collection. From a quick glance, there appears to audio rough mixes and demos from 1996 to 1997. It may be worth checking out! https://digitalcollections.ucalgary.ca/CS.aspx?VP3=DamView&VBID=2R3BXZC5V8RTJ&SMLS=1&q=Matthew+Good+Band&RW=1366&RH=607#/DamView&VBID=2R3BXZC5VJK4M&PN=1&WS=SearchResults You may have to login or register for access to features like Lightboxes and Ordering. I have not registered yet. Here are instructions on how to access the digital collection, in case anyone is interested: https://libanswers.ucalgary.ca/faq/212266 side note: I noticed in the University of Calgary Gazette newspaper that the Matthew Good Band played at Max Café & Bar on March 28, 1998. Interesting. I did not know that.
  6. I am going to his concert in November, but even buying that ticket was a stretch for me. It's been harder and harder for me to care and be engaged with his music lately. I don't know. Something has to change. Maybe I should get off the Mattgood reddit. There's a lot a negative stuff over there. They have a terrible merchandise team too. On February 2nd, Patreon said VIP ticket holders would be getting an email in the next week to get details on when the limited cassette tape, from May 2024, would be shipped. Their customs broker said they would in fact be getting them. They were expected to arrive in Toronto the next week. Still nothing to this day. If you say you're going to do something, DO IT!!! Pathetic. The $7.50/month Patreon is pretty bare bones too. We're lucky to get a post or a Q&A with Matt once every two weeks. They could take a lesson from The Jann Arden Podcast's Patreon. They have 10 times more content and you only pay a minimum of $3/month. They are posting left, right and center in their little Patreon community. They even have a book club membership option for $7/month.
  7. Zero Hours will be released September 26th according to Instagram.
  8. I feel your pain. That majorly sucks. The same thing happened to me once. It was too late for me and my friend to cancel flights and hotel when Matt canceled his CedarCreek Estate Winery in Kelowna at the last minute. He had an emergency medical procedure at the hospital. That's a lot of money down the toilet. We did it all again for his rescheduled show. That concert was a memorable one and the scenery was breathtakingly beautiful, so that more than made up for it.
  9. There's always a work-around. You can drive or take a flight to his Niagara Falls show in November.
  10. The last time I heard from Matt in here was on October 5, 2023. He was very nice. It doesn't seem likely he'll be back but if he did come back, this place would sure liven up! How come this place is so dead? Some people haven't been here for more than a year.

    2024 Tour

The cassette was the main selling point for me too. I don't really care about tour shirts. I almost wish I could get a refund. Oh well. That is so cool and thoughtful of you. 55 gigs of live audio and video is a lot of data! Would there happen to be any never-before-seen Matthew Good/Band rarities or gems on there? I'm glad Matt "fought long + hard" to get the rights to the shelved-album. I was really anticipating hearing some news on it. I've always wanted to experience an electronic album from him. It seems like his forte and right up his alley.

    2024 Tour

Can't wait to see Matt Good on May 1st in Calgary and one more show in BC! I look forward to checking out the VIP exclusive cassette too. I'll probably buy an old school tape player, just to see what's on it. I wonder what the band lineup will look like this tour. Maybe Stu, Blake and Pete will be back. On a side note, it's refreshing to see that CJAY92 is promoting Matt's concert like crazy. They have nothing but great things to say about Matt, whenever I tune in, and they say things like he is fantastic in concert and worth checking out.

  14. Great setlist. Woah! Are you talking about Holly McNarland? She came all the way from Toronto? I would have loved to seen that in person. I hope he plays Guns Of Carolina on Sunday. I love that song.
