  1. Video of the "prank" football throwing during Mother Mother's performance of Body of Years...in Toronto on December 19th, right? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4FVo8AZJ5Ak
  2. Hah, thanks for the post. I was just coming in here to mention those videos, which I've just been watching this afternoon. Cool stuff! Also, today we got yet another from everyname01: Ottawa - Dec 11, 2009 Load Me Up - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0vd_fuAaZLM
  3. All I know is, I loved them live. Been quite a while since I've seen an opening band that I enjoyed enough to momentarily forget that I was dying to see the headliner. ;) Video from last night (which I'm not adding to the playlist, 'cuz it doesn't count...): Weapon -
  4. Interesting. I'm glad I only know a couple songs from that list. But given that this was the "decade of Disney kids", I'm surprised more of that crap (which I have unfortunately heard) didn't make the list. Oh, and absolutely everything from Kanye West, oh and that Avril Lavigne song...something about not liking somebody's boyfriend, or girlfriend, or whatever. That stuff needs to be in a "worst" list.
  5. Wow! Those are excellent! Thanks for getting 'em out there... ;)
  6. Yeah, tough to find, especially with Youtube's new "reduced accuracy" search engine. Here's what I came up with after a quick search of posters I remembered having Mother Mother videos: Kingston - Nov 28, 2009 Body of Years - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GSQ8Wh0eLzs Calgary - Nov 15, 2009 O My Heart - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=izlXpRwMOak Body Of Years - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SAfrohF_hr4 Wrecking Ball - Vancouver - Nov 10, 2009 O My Heart - Duncan - Nov 6, 2009 Body of Years - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-oWNx7MWx94 Check the related videos list when you're watching these and it may turn up more, although everything I saw was much older...but some of it is professional, so worth watching. If you're really interested in following all leads, go to the MG tour playlist ( http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=6C44E92C3871BCD5 ) and pull up all the users who posted videos to see if they also uploaded any Mother Mother stuff. All of the videos listed above were originally found that way. Alas, I checked all the posters from Hamilton, and none of them posted anything though. Hope that helps! PS. I enjoyed re-watching these too, so if you find any more, please share with us...I'd love to see 'em.
  7. Another one from everyname01...a somewhat better recording of the political rant from the Ottawa show. Ottawa - Dec 11, 2009 Political Rant - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WpyBuUF18qY This presents a problem. The playlist already has 200 videos, and youtube won't let me add more. There's one Mother Mother video I can remove to make room for this one, but after that, I'm kinda stuck. I'm not sure whether I should try to break this into two playlists, remove a few of those videos that are truly pointless (eg. 15 seconds videos, sideways cell phone videos, etc.), or maybe just get rid of duplicate recordings of the same performance where one is obviously superior to the other. Any suggestions?
  8. A couple new ones today: Ottawa - Dec 11, 2009 The Boy Who Could Explode - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vOL19adyro4 Banter - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xmRWYPfetWU
  9. First new one in a while... Ottawa - Dec 11, 2009 The Future is X-Rated - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IUCe0kSYXFM That affects several of the numbers in the trivia I posted above. Ottawa is now even further in the lead with 21 videos covering 13 of the 16 songs played, and everyname01 has a lock on top contributor with 14 videos. Oh, and the playlist now has 198 videos. ;)
  10. Ah youtube...gotta love it! Here's what just came up in my latest search: Pole Dance Freestyle to 'Flashdance II' - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yacwqNKcRB4 Possibly NSFW, so I haven't actually watched it yet, but anyway. (and no, this isn't getting added to the playlist, sorry ;) )
  11. Trivia: The wall of shame looks like: Key City Theatre - Cranbrook, British Columbia - Nov 11 Encana Events Centre - Dawson Creek, British Columbia - Nov 13 Red Deer Memorial Centre - Red Deer, Alberta - Nov 16 Capitol Centre - North Bay, Ontario - Nov 26 Charles W. Stockey Centre - Parry Sound, Ontario - Nov 27 The Empire Theatre - Bellville, Ontario - Dec 08 Showplace Performance Theatre - Peterborough, Ontario - Dec 14 In first place, for number of videos and show coverage, is Ottawa with 20 videos covering 12 of the 16 songs, plus the political rant. (The missing songs were Great Whales, X-Rated, On Nights Like Tonight, Us Remains Impossible). In "most surprising place" is Toronto - Dec 19. The tour finale, and all we've got almost a full week later is 3 videos? The playlist http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=6C44E92C3871BCD5 has 197 videos from 66 contributors. (We've lost a total of 5 videos due to them being removed, two replaced though). The top contributor (I believe), is user everyname01 with 13 videos covering both Ottawa and Kingston. Maybe at some point when I've got time, I'll put together a top ten list of videos. There are at least 2 or 3 no-brainers in there, including that last one I linked. Cheers! PS. Gonna try an attachment. This is the text file I've been maintaining with all the videos listed. Matt_Good_Youtube_clips.txt
  12. New: Ottawa - Dec 11, 2009 Empty's Theme Park - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cv3EmWHwJoE My comment: Holy crap, the sound quality on this is FANTASTIC. Your video work is spot-on too. Easiest five-star rating I've given to any video from this tour yet.
  13. New stuff this evening Ottawa - Dec 11, 2009 Silent Army In The Trees - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r75jTLPhoJI Weapon - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0s83CHYJD80 A different performance of Silent Army from other nights. Cool...
  14. uglyredhonda: Thanks for these! Added to the playlist, of course ( http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=6C44E92C3871BCD5 ) That second recording of Fake Empire will probably end up in my completely informal top ten favourite videos from the list. The sound quality is excellent, and that soft-focus Matt in a sea of completely black background actually works in this video's favour. Chills watching it, I tell ya. No other new videos yet today. I'm still checking...
  15. Another one of those "included for completeness" videos, if you know what I mean... Hamilton - Dec 17, 2009 Load Me Up - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rEHXxwfK61g ...and there's still only ONE video from the second night at Massey Hall. What gives?
  16. Some pretty awesome new videos this evening, from the same user who got us those great shots from Kingston earlier: Ottawa - Dec 11, 2009 Weapon - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vWdy8bIe3H8 Volcanoes - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xEptAqttAEo Giant - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6_Wisv7OOYc Apparitions - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ekX2ij8j07E PS. Anyone else notice that youtube's search feature is getting more and more screwed up with each passing day. They introduced some new method of selecting filter/sort options last week that's pretty crap, but as of today, it's completely broken. Selecting upload date = today shows me stuff from 2 months ago. It's pretty lucky I even managed to find these, IMHO.
  17. A couple new ones this morning: Hamilton - Dec 17, 2009 Born Losers - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u8YgatTWuQ8 Empty's Theme Park - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lgPdq_MqjNA Still only 1 video from the second night at Massey Hall. Hopefully there's a bunch still to come from both of those shows.
  18. Woo! Got some quality stuff today: Toronto - Dec 18, 2009 On Nights Like Tonight - The Boy Who Could Explode - Last Parade - Vancouver National Anthem - Us Remains Impossible - Toronto - Dec 19, 2009 Hello Time Bomb - Sorry I took so long to post these, I kinda got sucked into watching 'em a few times over first. ;)
  19. Also: Toronto - Dec 18, 2009 Vancouver National Anthem -
  20. Some new stuff today: Hamilton -Dec 17, 2009 Banter - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_PBR41n9eKE Black Helicopter - Born Losers - I'm a Window - Odette - Silent Army In The Trees - Weapon - Toronto - Dec 18, 2009 Load Me Up -
  21. Have you done any more on this? I'd love to hear it...
  22. It's kinda tough to spot me, 'cuz the resolution of the video ain't so great, but because I remember exactly where I was, I can spot myself. On the extreme left edge of the screen, in the same "plane" of people as the band (the second person out from the bass player) in the red shirt with my arms in the air for most of it. Somewhere I have this on VHS, and the video quality was good enough to positively ID me. ;)
  23. Age of Electric still around? I'm an extra in their video for Ugly. They filmed it at a crappy little club in Winnipeg, (The Bank, I think it was called) and I happened to be there that night. I was chatting with the bass player, who was wearing a tolkien t-shirt with hobbit runes on it, which I translated for him ('cuz I'm a total geek). Anyway, I'm in the crowd right near the band during the frantic club scenes at the end, wearing a red Twin Peaks t-shirt (yes, it was way back in that era). Good thing I really liked that song, 'cuz we ended up hearing it over and over for almost 2 hours while I was there. ;) Fun times...
  24. Yeah, that's an impressive setlist. I'm not 100% sure, but I think that's the first time he's opened with Empty's. Usually it's way towards the end of the set. I also wish we could have gotten the one-two punch of Silent Army/Black Helicopter at the Vancouver show I was at. Between that and X-rated, I'm jealous. What was the banter like, and does he seem to be getting over his cold/flu bug? I expect actual boots from the Massey Hall shows, and it'd be great if Matt was in perfect shape for 'em.
  25. Dunno, I'd have to go through the playlist to see if there's any specific bits, and alas, I've only barely had time to stay on top of checking the new stuff coming out (not that there's been much the last few days, but you know...) Speaking of which: Hamilton - Dec 17, 2009 Empty's Theme Park - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SxCrDJ5XzMQ Apparitions - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BLiuzJH5qEY Odette - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fgjo32bM_gY
