  2. I wouldn't say that we have a right not to be treated however he wants to treat audiences. It's his show, and he can play only 5 songs or whatever, or not talk at all. But then we have the right to complain. And it was a good show. I won't complain about the show. But he didn't need to be so grumpy about 3 or 4 out of 2000. Also someone said the encore was 3 songs. It was only 2. Giant and Fought to Fight It. I have a feeling that Everything Is Automatic was cut.
  3. If Matt wants people to stand up, he should just say so. I don't want to be the first guy to stand up and have the people me yelling at me. I was at an Our Lady Peace concert once and their lead singer just outright told people in the 3rd or 4th song to stand up, and wouldn't play the next song until they did.
  4. Matt Good does still perform in Regina. He said he wouldn't after the shoe throwing thing way back. But he was there twice on the last tours. Anyway, I was at the Saskatoon show. Yeah, there were some dicks in the audience. None of them shouted anything mean or obscene, it was more just "play white wall! Play we were hunting rabbits!" over and over. And the stuff about harassing the crew is unacceptable, obviously. However, I also think it's uncool that Matt punished the rest of the audience for .5% misbehaving. Clearly he shortened the show. And also didn't talk at past the first break. Yeah I know he thinks we don't "deserve" anything. But I also paid money to see an awesome show, and was kind of upset that he under delivered. Yeah, some fans were stupid. But I wasn't, and neither were 99% of them. And I was one of the people who yelled out "shhh" when it got bad (which was really only at one point). Anyway, those are my thoughts.
  5. This is why I need to see Near Fantastica at least once in my life, live: My god.
  6. We'll take what we wanna! Yeah we'll take what we wanna! I never understood the hate for this song. It's a nice, fast-paced song.
  7. 1) Advertising on Police Cars 2) Alert Status Red 3) Lone Gunman 4) She's Got a New Disguise 5) Empty's Theme Park (this one was not fair, they are so good. too early a match up!) 6) Blue Skies Over Bad Lands 7) Lullaby For a New World Order 8) Hello Time Bomb 9) North American For Life (I actually like this song)
  8. Since everyone else did: Pledge of Allegiance Great Whales of the Sea Double Life *banter* We're So Heavy Near Fantastica Fearless Born to Kill *banter, maybe a polka or howdown!* Running for Home Workers Sing a Song of Mass Production Change of Season Giant Strange Days (acoustic) Fated (acoustic) Champions of Nothing I think that list is a little more realistic in length than some others!
  9. I'd also love to hear 21st Century Living!
  10. Realistically we don't really have a shot at convincing him to play anything out of the ordinary at shows, even if half the audience was yelling it. Him and the band learn 15-20 songs for the tour, and then go with them. You might have a chance at having a different song played than was originally planned, as long as he has played it before on the tour. But otherwise, we are out of luck! But I am very pleased with the songs he has played so far. There has been a good mix. If I could take in 2 or 3 shows I would, to get a few extra songs in. But unfortunately, asking for White Walls isn't going to get it played if they haven't rehearsed it!
  11. When I made this thread, I didn't really mean that a ticket would be $100. I was just making up an absurd figure to see if people thought it would be worth it. I think if Matt did something like this, he would probably charge the usual amount ($30-$60) and just advertise this is his more less-known (publicly) work.
  12. Well it would be tough with that percussion used in the song. What is it, metal sheets or something? An incredible song though. I was lucky enough to hear Prime Time Deliverance on his acoustic tour. It was a nice surprise, for my first Matt Good show!
  13. If Matt had a tour for just the hardcore, would you pay $100 to see him play? Maybe a small venue. Maybe only one show per province or area. Would you pay $100 to hear songs like Advertising on Police Cars? Born to Kill? Man of Action? Change of Season? Tripoli? We're so Heavy? Would ya?
  14. The opening riff can almost make me cry. Such an intense song. My favourite song from Underdogs by far. The lyrics and the whole feel are very powerful. There is a kind of desperation to it. "If they dropped the bomb Would you love me then"
  15. I would love a Matt Good "album" tour, where he played just album songs and such for the hardcore. Even if he just played smaller venues. Half acoustic, half band. Whatever. I would pay $100 to hear Change of Season, Advertising on Police Cars, or Born to Kill live.
  16. I've never heard Man of Action or Near Fantastica live. Prime Time Deliverance was really nice to hear on his acoustic tour, though.
  17. I will always hold out hope for Near Fantastica or Fated!
  18. I'll take a notepad to the Saskatoon show on Thursday. If I remember, I'll write the setlist down!
  19. I will download it, and still be surprised by how awesome the performance is! 3 days!
  20. Great Whales of the Sea seems to have turned out incredible live. I like how he has extended the outro a bit.
  21. There are some good clips here.
  22. 1) Generation X-Wing 2) Man of Action 3) The Vancouver National Anthem 4) The Boy Come Home 5) Running For Home 6) Radio Bomb 7) The Boy Who Could Explode 8) 99% Of Us Is Failure 9) Haven't Slept in Years (LOTGA)
  23. Yeah, come on. I don't want to wait...for my life to be over.
