I'm thinking fans will be biased toward the full band format since MG's last solo acoustic tour in Canada was 2007 I believe, and Canadians just had a nice full band tour. But we'll see. Matt and band kicked ass in Ottawa in October, but my vote is for solo acoustic tour. He sounds amazing solo and it's a huge bonus that he can throw in tons of rare songs and varied setlists without the restriction of having to practice them on short time with a band.

Not too upset, there's rumblings the next Canadian tour will be solo acoustic. Matt solo acoustic > full band.

When did he mention the Junos? All i heard was something vague about it in the intro. Matt has always said he doesn't show up to Junos because he basically thinks its crap, which it kind of is. Look how much Nickelback cleans up every year for pete's sake.

If a crowd stands the whole show, and yells the KICKASS thing, you deserve more songs for not being lame. Maybe that would get some of the lame crowds i was a part of this tour get off their asses and enjoy the fact they are at a freaking rock n roll concert. I think the people sitting on their hands during even rockin-out songs and when everyone else around them is standing should go to a ballet or theatre production next time.

Picked up a copy of Beyond Good & Evil for PS2 a couple years ago for like $5, finally playing it. It's excellent. Fun adventure game with charming characters and good voice-acting. Tried out Okami for PS2, too much like Zelda games and those kinda bore me for some reason, so didn't play it long.

I agree only somewhat. Went to the meet/greet in Ottawa. It went very fast, most people it was a handshake-hello/sign something/pic and then next person. So like 30 seconds to 1 min per person or something like that. BUT Matt and his people NEVER rushed us. Matt was friendly and seemed in a good mood. Only thing that one crew guy said was to get our signed items and cameras ready beforehand so the greet doesn't take 2 hours, but that's common sense. A few people talked to Matt a little bit, asked him a question. I took the opportunity to talk to him a bit, moreso than most. Most people I think were just timid and polite (typical Ottawans) and didn't wish to intrude, so were all-business with him. The crew/Matt maybe could do better making people more relaxed I think, but I blame the people themselves for not taking the opportunity. NOBODY EVER told or implied any fan to hurry up with Matt.

You should give us an online casino so we could gamble with them or something. Hmm we should all try to think of ideas (better than above) that would be relatively easy for you to implement that we could spend NF$ on. haven't spend any in ages.

Is that Diablo 3? That out yet? Playing Street Fighter IV, it's so-so. They totally butchered Chun-Li and her jumping kicks play like garbage now, she's next to useless. I prefer the old animated graphics over 3D. Final boss guy is also really cheap.

That last part was awful to listen to, Matt talking about the anxiety he was going through at the time of AOB, collapsing from the anxiety and whatnot, and having been still undiagnosed at the time. As someone who has suffered from similar, fuck that shit.

I liked Stu better, I was a big fan of Stu. But the new guy has a lot of energy. He definitely seems like more of hard rocker. Just different personalities and styles.

Just got back from the Pembroke show. Never been to that town, but was only a 90 minute drive from Ottawa so why not? It was a TINY venue, a small theater hall attached to a high school.. Only 17 rows of seats on the main floor, then 11 more rows up on the balcony = just over 600 seats. I've had high school assemblies with more people than that lol. But it was neat to have such an intimate setting, though Matt didn't interact too much with the audience. Downside was that the venue was run by volunteers so some security dude was rushing me out of the building while I was shopping for merch after the show. Fuck you old man. The promoter (probably the tour promoter, maybe the venue promoter) was a douchebag. Saw him running around like an idiot before the set started, then when the roadie gave me Matt's setllst after the show the promoter came up to me right after with his hand out wanting to grab it from me. Uhmm no. The crowd was lame as fuck. Nobody standing, 95% of the crowd didn't even give the band a standing ovation between the main set & encore. Really? You want the band to come out for an encore with you sitting on your ass? Ian Browne was fantastic, New lead guitarist had lots of energy though I think Stuart was a bit better player and vibed better with Matt. I'm going on the 28th and got my tix on Oct 11 last week i believe, so that's like 2.5 weeks before, so I wouldnt worry. I'd give them another week.

So the concert was MG with a traditional rock band & a keyboardist/piano guy? No brass or other odd instruments whatsoever? If so, that's quite the accomplishment given the last record!

Me too, for Ottawa, got great 1st-row seats. Photo and signed merch allowed @ meet & greet it says, kinda like waiting at his bus lol, i hope there's some extended chit-chat or something with the group, dunno. We are spoiled, Matt has been so gracious allowing us to meet him at his bus for free in the past. VIP T-shirt design looks like it did in the preview, but for some reason looks a bit better in person, so bonus because i wasn't really looking forward to it originally. Lithograph is nice, smaller than his usual posters from past tours, but numbered. Also got a couple LOES LP's i ordered, though they both have a freaking dent on the bottom in the same place, pisses me off!!! Crappy shipping or crappy storage by MLW or someone in the process...they are sold out i believe so not like i can exchange them WTF!!
