See, I figured it would be a problem, but when their store's web form actually has canada listed, and even switches over to provinces and postal codes when you selected it (rare even for stores that DO ship to canada) I kinda figured they had their act together. Not so.
-
I tried to get some from an american website and they cancelled the order because they don't ship across the border even though their order form includes Canada. You can buy gift cards though! Gift cards for a website that won't ship anything here, except more gift cards. Dynamite.

$59? I found it for $83 at the first website that showed up after a search, so that's pretty good despite my laziness. The diamond filter bit is pretty pointless, but adds to the half-joke esteem I guess. Max must be pretty wealthy...

He kinda did at the end, to an extent. He kinda reminds me of Seth Macfarlane trying to sound serious. I don't really drink wine, so I dunno.

Heretic! It's no scotch in terms of flavour, but it has it's uses....

http://crystalheadvodka.com/ It's very long, but it's the best thing ever. Dan Akroyd is my hero.

I guess the premeditation aspect is a big strike against a person...but you have to wonder whether a planned pie attack is really worse than a spur of the moment savage beating.

Simpsons, Family Guy, South Park!?
Sparq replied to rbx260's topic in Rentals, Television, and Readables
No. That was....uhhh... Quads! In terms of overall quality, and legacy, The Simpsons wins. It's had some bad years, and I haven't seen a lot of the newer stuff, but it's a modern classic. South Park gets credit for staying fairly fresh this long. Family Guy, while goodish and often funny, is little more than sketch comedy loosely strung together with nonsensical plots. They're taking their song and dance joke-within-a-joke bullshit too far these days. I don't want to see 5 minutes of footage from some idiotic musical, which is 40 years old, with Stewie animated in over it's original, presumeably terrible, child actor. Futurama, in it's prime, kicked the ass of everything on TV. I am hoping they can keep that up for the new seasons. Venture Brothers is high on my list. It is fantastic, in every way. Same for Clone High. Undergrads was good, but like Clone High it's almost good they only lasted one season - I'm not sure where else they could have gone with it. Squidbillies is good for a laugh sometimes. 12 Oz. Mouse was bizarre beyond comprehension, and I think it was conceived, written, and animated all while high as a kite. I have never liked Robot Chicken. It has it's moments, but 90% of it is just a showcase of Seth Green thinking he can do more than one voice. Like the Internet itself, it tends to take every joke one step too far, in terms of playing everything out so hard it's not funny any more, or ever again. American Dad is brutally terrible in every way that doesn't involve Patrick Stewart. -
http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/nation...article1271124/ I still find the concept of attacking politicians with pie to be mildly hilarious. I can only assume that trying to same thing with an american president, governor, senator, etc would result in a shooting, followed by much more jail time if you survived. Ok, it's not really that political, but I don't care.

Michael Bolton: That's the worst idea I've ever heard in my life, Tom. Samir: Yes, this is horrible, this idea.

District 9. Very, very good.

I rarely go outside in full sun without motorcycle armour. Something like that.

The italian Job (the new one) Sucked, hardcore. It was like Ocean's Eleven for people who missed the casting call because they were too busy being terrible. Incidentally, I think it was the only movie with Jason Statham wherein he does not punch anyone.

I'm on it like a motherfucker, Brad.

http://www.vimeo.com/5262595 It's not Youtube. I don't care. It's what I want to do, from now on, forever. I will need about 20 tire changes per day and twenty or thirty tanks of gas. I will singlehandedly destroy what remains of the environment. I will lay waste to the earth to drift a car for money and be totally fucking rad every day.

That was a pretty good joke years ago and it still is.

Eh. Not so much, really. First half is a near total write-off with the exception of . Second half had a few bits that were mildly entertaining. That said, the shock comedy thing never did work for me anyway, and the rest of the theatre was apparently in stitches......so there you go.

Pork sword.

You should probably just watch everything on the Top Gear youtube channel and be done with it. It is the only thing on BBC Canada that is not an insult or a waste of time.

The International. Not as bad as I expected. Pretty slow, though.

Programming Question Megathread!

How many lines of code are in Skynet? -
Seven one hour episodes. Gulf War II. Less combat than one might expect from a series about war. Follows a Marine recon unit during the initial (second) invasion of Iraq. Allegedly based on a real unit and their missions. Lots of military jargon, nots of crude Marine banter, lots of typical military incompetence. It's good. Watch it. http://www.hbo.com/generationkill/

What Videogame(s) Are You Playing Right Now?
Sparq replied to Moonlight_Graham's topic in Tech Section: A Hard Drive at Risk
Spore is fun-ish for two of the five stages. The first two. It's basically a collection of five stripped-down mini-games, and the final three suck long and hard. I want Prototype. Still p[laying Red Alert 3, but it's hard to stay interested.
