Careful now...

So they tell me.

At any rate, it's a matter of those vestigal, ceremonial ties with England. I've never been one for alot of ceremony.

Yeah, there's a small JTF base outside of Ottawa. Not much to see, really. A few small buildings with blacked out windows, a double chainlink/razor-wire perimeter, and some trees. It always struck me as odd that we've got a unit called Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry. I realise it's tradition from as far back as the first world war, but it's really not a good name for a combat regiment. I'm not saying it needs some corny, aggressive-sounding name, but come on. Princess Patricia? Even technical military placeholder names sound better than that. Like, say, 103rd Batallion Expeditionary Force. I'm sure I've defiled some long and proud history here. Then again, I'm not saying it should actually be changed at this point unless the whole unit is disbanded. In the case of JTF2, I don't see why they'd even bother changing it. Waste of time and money (same with PPCLI, don't get me wrong) for an already cash-starved military. The defense minister should be looking for funding, not finding trivial ways to spend it.

I have to throw something in here. I don't know how predominant it is, but Israel has produced both Astral Projection AND Infected Mushroom, who are some of the greats of the goa/psy trance genre. Also, Yahel, Alien Project, Space Cat, and Astrix. Go Israel.

...there can be no doubt: the man has been lobotomized. There is no man left. In the video, the meat continues to twitch, electrical accidents birthing grotesque jerks in the unknowing beef. It speaks! But it is not language. It is like the wind blowing through a pile of skulls. -
Adding to that... Underdogs is what got me in to MGB to begin with (after hearing Apparitions, I think, but I guess that's fairly common). It was actually the first CD I ever bought/owned. Any particular favourite tracks from that one?

THAT WASN'T PART OF THE DEAL

Curb. Or a concrete, rectangular bear.

Meh, I'd never try that sort of entertaining idiocy on the road. Parking lot only, and ice-encrusted one at that. Though I HAVE seen a guy doing donuts in a small parking lot until he hit a cub and folded a wheel under his car...

That one is classic. If you do not smoke this, we have a problem!

You have not lived until you have performed a planned, successful powerslide in an econobox four-banger.

Your Top Albums Of 2006 So Far?

AFI and Rise against, but most recently Velvet Acid Christ - Lust For Blood (2006). Nice. -
Patent pending? Actually I've been looking at making a camera mount for the car. I spent some time making e-brake turns in a frozen parking lot the other week, and it was entertaining to no end. And I'll need it for whatever excessive supercar I buy if I actually get a decent job. Or if I twin-turbo my shoddy Neon.
-
Yeah. As much fun at it might be to rear-end a parked minivan at 100kph, I doubt the camera would make it through unscathed.
-
Yes, I did. Though the motion blurring and the high reading of the speedometer are both faked with photoshop. The car was, in fact, stopped at a red light while I took the picture. I'm not quite crazy enough to drive and take pictures at the same time.
