Is anyone else here a fan of Sigur Ros? They're a band out of iceland and make some really powerful and interesting music. It's definitely not for everyone, but I highly recommend at least checking it out. Best movie of the year! It doesn't follow a normal three act structure and it's great. It's just one of those movies where stuff kinda happens, but it's still driven forward by the main character's personal journey. And check out Zach Braff's blog, it's very funny: http://www2.foxsearchlight.com/gardenstate/blog/index.html It's nice to see a Garden State when all summer you're fed Without a Pabble and Alien vs. Predator.

It's important for eveyone to go see or buy the director's cut if we want another movie from Richard Kelly soon. I work in the film industry and I had a chance to read Richard Kelly's next script and I'd like to see it made. I think the reason it hasn't been made yet it because the studio is worried about funding. Donnie Darko was only a hit after it came out on DVD, so I think they're trying it again to see how the interest is and see if they can make some money to make the next film. So go see Donnie Darko again! This is an amazingly talented director and we need more films from him.

Remy Zero - Villa Elaine

I just found a live version of Linkin Park doing Nine Inch Nails' "Wish" Kind of neat, although they didn't really do anything to make the song theirs. But it's still worth a listen if you can find it.

Garden State! And go see the movie too. and "Requiem For A Dream" has a very cool and different score.

I just purchased Sigur Ros' first two albums "Von" and "Von Brigdi" from someon on Ebay since they haven't been released outside of Iceland. And before that "Tansatlanticism" and "The Photo Album" by Death Cab For Cutie.

That point near the end of "Failing The Rorschach Test" when it gets quiet and slowly builds while he sings "This ain't real baby, got a better excuse for myself." and then the music kicks back in. Great! And the chorus in Suburbia.

Unfortunately still no takers. And since it's 8:30 on Thursday, I think I'm going to have to just try and sell them. Next time I guess.

Hey All, I've run into a big problem. I have 2 tickets for the Friday night (Aug. 6) show at the Commodore, but now I can't go.
