I haven't heard anything before this latest version. I really like what I'm hearing though. I can't wait to hear the whole thing. How many versions of Hornets has he posted?

I finally just decided to go for an M+ membership and see how it goes. I figured even if I'm totally disappointed and feel ripped off I'll know for next year not to subscribe again and know at least it's helping Matt out. Plus it's not a ridiculous amount of money. Only one way to find out and I'm sure I'll at least get some money's worth. The entries I was seeing for members and the thought of hearing demos and whatnot had me so curious so I went for it. I debated it for a while and thought I probably wouldn't do it but then said screw it. MG is the only musician I'd pay for a membership for. I have a lot to catch up on.

Have you guys heard this new song Matthew posted for all to hear on his site? He posted it as an example to non M+ members of what you could routinely get as a M+ member. He didn't say what it's called but when I hover the mouse over a player icon it says 'In' so that may just be what it's called. Anyways, this new stuff sure is sounding different for MG. I'm not saying it's a bad thing. It certainly makes me curious as to how the next album will sound though. Does anyone know how much material he has for it?

Oh? Could this mean something of interest? Like Matt getting Warne to do his next record? I wouldn't be complaining if that were the case, that's for sure.

Suburbia While We Were Hunting Rabbits

I also really like Team Sleep. They're a bit hit and miss though. Formant could be their best song (unreleased instrumental) and Ever Since WWI may be my favourite from their debut. Have you guys heard Kool-Aid Party from their unreleased stuff? It has Mike Patton on vocals. It sounds totally different from their other songs to me and has a very eerie, spooky vibe with MP doing some LOW vocals. Very cool stuff. I've listened to Diamond Eyes a couple times and I LOVE what I'm hearing at the moment. Could become my favourite Deftones album.

It's too bad there wasn't much more of the sound between about 1:30 and 2:30. I really like that part but overall the song is boring in my opinion.

Yes, please really try to get it posted because I would like to have a good quality version on the computer and don't know how to transfer it from the PVR. I have a USB port on mine and thought I would be able to transfer it to my flash drive but can't find anything about how to. I'll look into it.

Saturday Night Wrist is a very good album, I don't see why the opinions are so mixed. It has some of pretty much everything you'd expect from Deftones with a couple weak spots (Pink Cellphone in particular). This new album is supposed to sound more like Around the Fur/White Pony I read though but based on this sample I think it will have a good touch of Self Titled and SNW.

Yeah, you're right, I gotta try not listening to all the demos but they're just so tempting. I would like these two to be the only ones I listen to though, it's a good taster, but this taster also has me really curious to hear more. These are really nice to hear, especially I Once Saw a Magician Cut You in Half (damn that's quite the title, but I like it). It's refreshing and I love the sound. The guitar sounds so nice in it and I love the vibe. I kind of like his vocals being in the background. It would make a good instrumental. As someone else said, if this is all done on GarageBand then damn he is getting awesome at it. It's amazing that this could almost go on record already and all the different instrument sounds come from a computer program. They sound surprisingly real and good. P.S. I thought he wasn't going to post demos anymore? P.S. 2 Really cool that he's already writing new music.

Where are you getting this Cold Harbor information from? Ok, I Once Saw a Magician Cut You in Half sounds different but I think I already really like what I'm hearing. I can hear what someone said about similarities to his old demos because of the piano but that's about it. This is different from anything he's done I think and I am really curious to see where this goes. I think I'm liking the brass. I hope he keeps it for the album but doesn't over-do it. Nice change from all the strings. I also like the amount of piano on these and hope he incorporates more of that on the next album. I really like the instrumentals of IOSAMCYIH, it sounds nice and is definitely a keeper. Set Me On Fire is also pretty nice, acoustic plus. Dang it this is kinda exciting! Yet another promising change of sound for Matt!
