So i had the exact same reaction; I'm an atheist (optimistic nihilist) but i have always believed that magic exists in the mind of the young (and young at heart) and that the fact that it's in your head doesn't make it any less real (to steal a line from Harry Potter), and that line about when he "...still believed in magic" hit me hard.

I've been playing Mario + Rabbids on the Switch which is really good. Also playing an indie game i found on the Switch called Kingdom: New Lands, it's a 2d, side-scroller, base-building game that's actually super fun and addicting.

I don't know much about this fight but I'll be watching it with some friends. To me it's just a nice excuse to grab some drinks and hang with friends.

I like Arcade Fire. I didn't much enjoy Reflektor but i like the 3 songs I've heard from their new album.

Did Matt or Warne give a timeframe for the release of the new album? I'm itchin for some new MG!

I'm reading Astrophysics for People in a Hurry by Neil deGrasse Tyson. It's interesting, but very brief, and not very technical. It's making me want to re-read some of my university physics textbooks (only ever took a couple first year physics courses).

First time hearing this, the guitar sounds supremely U2 Joshua Tree era inspired. Loving it.

So I've been playing Persona 5 the last few days as well. I kind of alternate between Persona and Breath of the Wild, they are both amazing and very long games; I think I have enough hours of games ahead of me to last until summer.

I was born in 86 so by the time I had money to buy video cards it was already into the early 2000's, I'm pretty sure the first card I bought was an ATI Radeon, can't remember which one specifically though. The best era for pc gaming will probably be during whatever your formative years were, for me that would be early 90's. My dad was a programmer so we always had a pc at home, I remember loading games off 5" and 3.5" floppies and then running them in MSDos. I used to play tons of (sometimes shareware) games like Commander keen, Wolfenstein, Doom, Captain Comic, Jill of the Jungle, Duke Nukem (and Duke Nukem 2), Moraff's World, Police Quest, Space Quest, and probably lots of other stuff I can't remember at the moment.

Picked up a Switch a couple weeks ago and have been playing Breath of the Wild, that game is fantastic; It's exactly my type of game. I spend most of my time having fun exploring the world and finding cool things, and I love how the game looks, it's not the most technically impressive game but the landscapes are beautiful regardless and I could spend hours just looking at them. I don't even use the fast travel system; I estimate it will take me 200+ hours to complete, I'm 55 hours in and still in the 3rd area out of 11 (not including the starting zone).

I'm close to finally finishing both Dreamfall Chapters and Wolfenstein: The New Order, both great games.

I'm guessing that of the 5 (?) reworked tracks he'll choose a few different ones to play each show.

Los Alamos then all the rest it's a solid album overall

I've seen Coldplay twice now, but there's no way I'm buying tickets a year in advance though, wtf sept. 2017?? I don't like scheduling things a month away let alone a full year...

Just finished Stranger Things, loved it, can't say enough fix things about it. I hope the second season is good.

@Gomo I checked tickets for The Head and the Heart in vancouver in Dec but there's only bad seats left, disappointing!! I like The Paper Kites too, I'd see them live.

i might try to record a cover or 2, although honestly i have crippling stagefright to the point where i can't even record myself, but it's something i want to overcome so... we'll see.

I'm pretty sure the other video out there is of Let's Get It On. You can hear Matt sing "...in my arms" at the start of the video, which is the last line of the song, and also it just totally sounds like it too.

While We Were Hunting Rabbits makes me very nostalgic. Avalanche came out in what, 03? but I remember being super into that album in 04/05, it was not long after I got out of highschool. Anyway, it reminds me of a simpler time, when there was a world of infinite possibility before me.
