  1. That is absolutely hilarious. My roomate and I quoted that EXACT line for about a year after they opened for MGB in Calgary. To this day he's really upset because he was really drunk for that show, and that quote is all he remembers from the whole night. You, your roommate and I should be best friends.
  2. The recommendations are a great feature. If you are ever bored with your music collection, it's a great way to find a new band. I really like the Velvet Underground, and it linked me up with a few other bands I wasn't familiar with and enjoy a lot now, like the Magnetic Fields.
  3. I'm glad to hear they are using a snythesizer, but I'm more glad to hear that Bob Rock didn't manage to completely fuck them up. I'm really looking forward to the new record, In View sounds great.
  4. This movie was everything I dreamed it would be and more!
  5. That solo record La De Da or whatever is great.
  6. Forever Indebted - Shout Out Out Out Out
  7. Thanks, that was wicked.
  8. I will argue that lyrically he's gotten better, but that Green and especially Maladroit were so god awful that can't make up the difference ever again. I think the good songs of Make Believe are good, but that the bad songs are the worst they've ever made ever. The difference is a negative...
  9. My least favourite is the AoB version of Advertising of Police Cars, but Rat Who Would Be King is close behind it. I will add that I love the verses to RWWBK, but the chorus kill the whole goddamn thing.
  10. Johnny Cash - If You Could Read My Mind
  11. Me too. I really, genuinely loved this flick. Kevin Smith has been redeemed at last. I went in with no knowledge of anything in the movie, having avoided all previews and wite-ups, and it surprised me around every corner. Even if you didn't like the first one, you will probably like this one.
  12. Holy crap I was just about to say that when I read this. Great call. I went and saw DMB when I was in Montreal a few years ago and the show was good, but the IDIOTS that surrounded me really killed the vibe of the show. I do enjoy the records still, though not as much. I haven't bought anything past Before These Crowded Streets except for Dave's solo album, which I didn't like. Yeah, they are good musicians, but they've kind of sunk into autopilot now.
  13. Well, it's for the better if they did break up...they lost it ten years ago. But this is likely another hiatus, what with Rivers just married and becoming more interested in finding inner peace through Vipassana meditation than into recording. Brian and Pat both have side projects to fall back on, and are actually both going to be in the movie "Factory Girl" playing Lou Reed and John Cale, respectively. I will always love the first two records, but Weezer lost me for good with Make Believe.
  14. Wildflowers is my favourite Petty album. And even though it's less liked, I love She's The One as well. I think Rick Rubin produced both of those ones.
  15. Wow, I Can Get Sexual Too is a pretty wicked tune, and that whole record just keeps growing on me. I would go see them if Dashboard Confessional wasn't on the bill.
  16. Two of Us, maybe. It changes everyday. I'm also fond of You Know My Name(Look Up the Number).
  17. Oh man, I've been trying to find this for a while now. Thanks!
  18. I've only heard the title track so far, and I like it alot. As for Radiohead, the new song "Bodysnatchers" sounds pretty rockin, so who knows where they are going next?
  19. I love this band more and more each time I see them. They were a nice surprise for me when they opened for the Strokes.
  20. "Cold Wind" from the Six Feet Under soundtrack is great.
  21. Johnny Cash is country. All else is LIES.
  22. I'm all about "Cut Your Hair" by Pavement. Funny stuff. Beck has a lot of wicked videos too, like "Jack-Ass" "Where It's At" "Girl" are all cool. Sigur Ros has some cool ones. I think Alexisonfire has made some really cool ones, especially considering their target audience. I'm glad to see anything interesting getting play on Much. And I don't want to start an argument, but I'm going to say that Thriller is one of the most indulgent videos ever, but there are a lot better ones out there. Basically, if you want to see some cool ones, do some searching or watch the only interesting program on Much Music: the Wedge.
  23. Matt is friends with Dale Earnhardt Jr. He is in the Anti-Pop video with Matt.
  24. There is a lethal amount of emo on this tour. ugh...dashboard... Say Anything would be cool to see, however.
  25. Izzy, I think you appreciate that I rocked out hard to Cherry Cola in the elevator today. Death by Sexy is wicked rad.
