Hi all! Last year, I received so much generosity from you guys, I thought I might bother you all again. This year, the magazine I work for has decided to participate in the Underwear Affair, which is (for us) a 5km walk, in support of the BC Cancer Foundation. I'm not supposed to tell anyone (my boss wants it to be a surprise), but we will be running a publicity stunt (approved by the BCCF). In true Gaga fashion, my team (all strapping young lads, including Kevin!) will be carrying me, dressed as Lady Gaga, on a big float, while I toss magazine-related swag for the whole 5km. I'm only telling y'all, since most of ya won't actually be able to attend to watch the spectacle. Please support me, as Kevin and I both have a goal of $500. I went to pick up a custom-made, floor-length, silk circle skirt ($225) today... ...and ended up leaving with the aforementioned skirt, a matching corset ($225), and a gold/ruby choker ($30). Broke, but oh so gorgeous now. Edit: Here's a pic of my wallet's downfall: Kevin and I are cosplaying as Mal & Inara from Firefly, for a club night that's happening at the end of the month. Our friends and I are going as the whole Firefly crew. I hope we win the costume contest!

I agree with Manch. I am reviewing this album for our magazine, and I was looking so forward to this album. I avoided reading any reviews prior, just read the wiki on it. I was excited by the idea that it was recorded in Grohl's garage using analog equipment. I agree that it's "back to basics", but at the same time, I feel like it's really bland, and boring (as boring as Foos high energy can be, anyway). After I wrote my own review, I was surprised to see how much praise it received. It felt very much like the Foos were playing it safe. There was only one song, to me, that stood out ("These Days").
