The U.s. Presidential Debates

"Let me finish." No warnings, no one was talking over him, still had 30 seconds to go in his 90 second response, what else could it have been? Edit: You forgot Poland! -
George W. Bush Quotes

I think he may have been wearing an earpiece for the debate. He had 90 seconds to answer a question, and 60 seconds in he said, "Let me finish," despite there being no warning that he was running out of time. It was just out of nowhere ;) -
Reagan?

They say that Reagan ended the Cold War, but it was Gorbachev who got the Nobel Peace Prize...hmmm.... -

I read a Chart interview where he said that he didn't feel like he was contributing enough to the music of the band and didn't want to be a burden on the rest of them, or something like that.

The U.s. Presidential Debates

Kerry was kickass. I've just read some neocon blog comments, and they all say that Kerry won. Jeez, there's a reason why Bush has given less press conferences than any other president, and with handpicked reporters, too. -

I noticed that too. He's stammered a couple of times and sounded panicky. For some reason, Bush doesn't think that adapting new views on issues is a good thing. I guess someone should tell him about Strom Thurmond the formerly vehement racist turned tolerant old man. He rejected segregation and never looked back. Does that make him weak? -

I think it's 'Sandstorm' by Darude, or some other techno record. -

I'm sorry, but Dave is a way kickass musician. He also played the keyboards for the MGB music, too. He's producing records now for indie bands. Hope that doesn't sound like a bitch-out...

Dave is awesome, although I went with Geoff Lloyd. That man is a helluva bassist. In the 'AoB' liner notes, I think that "Bridgeburner Music" refers to Dave, and he only helped write 3 songs on that ('Fall Of Man', 'Under The Influence', and I think 'Truffle Pigs'). Dave was the Edge to Matt's Bono, or the Marr to his Morrisey.

Yeah. First, for me it was the music, then once I started to listen to the lyrics a little more and read around, I really liked his politics, even though I don't agree with everything he says.

I got 'All Together' and 'Pony Boy' over Limewire. Somedays there's lots and others there's nothing.

Is Punk Dead?
no yu begin wher i end replied to THE MAN's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
Punk is now a bastardization of itself, stressing non-conformity yet trying to force its fashion and musical senses on us all. A punk once called my frined a conformist because he doesn't like punk music. All the punks who wear always wear black and all that crap all look the same. It's really funny, actually. Conformity through individuality is quite a paradox, and one that all the punks at my school have yet to figure out. I used to think being a punk was liberating (I even tried getting into it once), but now I realize that it's just an excuse for dumb, rich white kids to act like asses. -
In the US, 16 year-olds "don't have the maturity or judgement" to sign a contract, but can still be given a lethal injection.

I went with 'Annabelle'. I can hear why 'Comfortable Criminals' was a B-side. -

WLR&RR has those awesome paintings on the cover. Loser Anthems is pretty neat too.
