  1. I've heard her music and I don't like it. I also haven't heard very good reviews of the live show, either.
  2. Who comes on first, usually? I might be late if I get tickets to go, and I kinda want to miss Auf der Maur more than Matt or Limblifter.
  3. Don't tell my parents or Father Eugene. They wanted me to wait until I'm married.
  4. June 18, 2004 @ Red River Ex. grounds.
  5. I never thought of Matthew Good Band as comparable to an emo band, but maybe I'm wrong since I've never listened to Sunny Day Real Estate.
  6. http://www.theonion.com/news/index.php?issue=4041 btw, this is satire... ;)
  7. 'Love Athena' - Olivia Tremor Control
  8. Uh, scratch that. I got mixed up because every article I read about WLR&RR mentions White Light/White Heat, but I forgot that Matt also said there's no connection between the two. The name came from him talking with a friend about using only white lights for a tour like they did in the old days. Sorry about that...
  9. Amen to that, although I'm sure Gene Krupa could give him a run for his money. Try and find a recording of the drum battle between Krupa and Buddy Rich. It's pure awesome.
  10. They probably got it mixed up with 'White Light/White Heat' by the Velvet Underground. That's where Matt got the idea for the title of his new one.
  11. I also think that's part of the reason why people are always anxious to hear what the next single is: what the video will be like.
  12. I second that.
  13. I like the 'End Song' from '15 Hours On A September Thursday' better than the 'Broken' one.
  14. I've tried a bunch of combinations, and these are the only ones that you can be. Click here. I'm 'Carmelina'. B)
  15. Ralph Nader gave me a 9! Anyone get higher than that?
  16. I like them. Kinda like if Radiohead decided to go metal and write a soundtrack for an Italian zombie movie. I just might go see them on the 28th.
  17. Did it have a different intro than the album version? At the last show, I didn't know it was 'Load Me Up' until he started singing.
  18. The Weakerthans - Great folk rock. Flaming Sideburns - Like the Hives, but better Interpol - Creepy and awesome Superchunk - Fun indie rock Portastatic - See above Spoon - See above Pavement - The Nirvana that never happened Deathcab For Cutie - Another great indie rock band Calexico - Good folk/roots band from Arizona. A few of their songs have a mariachi band in them
  19. 'LOTGA' 'Raygun' 'Underdogs' 'Beautiful Midnight' 'Audio Of Being' 'Avalanche' 'WLR&RR' 'At Last There Is Nothing Left To Say' A little pin with the letters 'MG' inside a maple leaf.
  20. Or if he opened up for the Who again...that would be excellent.
  21. If smaller and less known artists from the States can tour Europe, I don't see why he can't go over there too, even if just for a festival or something.
  22. We've already got a thread on best band ever, so who do yout think is the best musician ever and why? I say John Coltrane. He could play 1000 notes in a minute while improvising a solo. If that's not sheer genious and virtuosity, then I don't know what is.
  23. They give those away at my school, I think. I'll have to pick one up on Monday.
