  1. Awesome. I'm mildly jealous.
  2. I haven't gotten them yet. I might not even be able to go because I have to play in a band concert that night. As collateral, I'm trying to win tickets off of 97, since most of my money is going towards my band trip during spring break. (I even got through, too late. Too bad they aren't doing a Studio 97. That would be excellent.) My parents are only letting me go if I can find someone to go with, and I don't know anyone else who likes him enough to go to spend $35 on a concert. My parents wouldn't even let me see the Arrogant Worms by myelf at the West End Cultural Center. gah...I was going to buy tickets the week they were on sale, but I'm a huge prcrastinator ;)
  3. But that requires effort.
  4. Seeing as how my computer's hard drive is quite small compared to newer ones, I have 32 on my own hard drive, about 2 or 3 hours.
  5. 'Twould be quite awesome. My favourite underground artists include: The Shins Wilco The Shazam Mendoza Line Flaming Sideburns Weakerthans Cursive Spoon Muse (kinda underground...I think...) Pavement Camper Van Beethoven Richmond Fontaine
  6. Do they take debit? I'm heavily strapped for cash.
  7. 1) A Boy And His Machine Gun 2) Born To Kill 3) Future Is X-Rated
  8. That's from a WW2 propaganda poster.
  9. I still have mine...I hope...
  10. I would have liked to see something with the band, not necessarily playing the song, but as actors like in 'Apparitions' or 'Strange Days'. Overall though, it's a fairly solid video that compliments the mood of the song well. Very tastefully done.
  11. Best musician ever: John Coltrane. He could play 1000 notes a minute just off the top of his head. If that's not brilliance, then I don't know what is. Best band ever: I dunno. I certainly wouldn't say The Beatles, though. Maybe The Who. Their lyrics and skill on their instruments definitly surpassed The Beatles. If being popular counts for almost everything, then yes, I'd agree with you. The Beatles are the best band ever....period. As for Metallica being "bullocks", if it weren't for the 80's and occasional flashes of..umm..ok-ness, then I'd agree with you. No Leaf Clover was their last really awesome song.
  12. Basiclly the only reason I say Kerry won was because it was so shatty that just because Bush is the incumbent he should have done better, and his momentum is losing force compared to Kerry's. I noticed him starting to shout a little bit and had to be told by the moderator that his time was up. No one candidate dealt any good blows, and all their attempts at jokes were just hollow.
  13. Edwards was knocked off simply trying to keep the record straight. Cheney said Kerry had voted against lowering taxes 98 times, when he's also voted in favour of lowering them over 600 times. Edwards doens't have a distinguished record? This is why Dick's talk about freedom is so hollow and hypocritical. This was also my favourite moment in the debate. Look, a mention in a weekly paper that isn't in his "hometown" does not qualify as his "hometown newspaper". If he'd said, "one newspaper in your home state," it would have been a stretch, but not a lie. As said, it's a lie. He's presided over the Senate twice. The sme number of times as Edwards.
  14. There's a difference between supporting the troops and blindly throwing and keeping them in harms way.
  15. Which songs from 'Audio of Being' did he play?
  16. Obi-Wan Kenobi > Doc Brown < Yoda Darth Vader > Biff Luke > Marty Mellenium Falcon > Delorean (*snicker)
  17. CENSORSHIP IS BULLSHIT! FIGHT THE POWER! DOWN WITH PANTS!
  18. I read Daily Kos on an almost daily basis. It's the blog that influenced me to turn against the Iraqi war and basiclly into the left-leaning individual I am now. I'd recommend it to anyone here.
  19. I've only heard 'No Rain', but I plan to change that soon.
  20. That bastard's dragging the Tea Party down with him ;)
  21. Star Wars was the same era as bttf. Early 80's.
  22. No one rationaly attacks his claims. They're all saying things like "Moore hates America!" "He's stupid! Hohoho!" So, I guess that if that's the only way that he's being countered, then one way to look at it is maybe he's telling the whole, unbiased truth? I'm not that naive to really think that, though.
