What Are Some Of The Things That You Bought
Dan #3 replied to sodamntired's topic in Open Discussion
Cigarettes. Yes, cigarettes at a dollar store. Not you know, discount smokes at a buck a pack, but a real pack at the usual price. -
Vancouver National Anthem is easily my favourite Matt Good demo I've yet to hear. Maybe even my favourite song since While We Were Hunting Rabbits.

The Dears - Missiles
Dan #3 replied to Bigger Than Jesus's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
The Dears have been getting progressively more mellow with every album. While this isn't my favourite of theirs, it's still damn good. -
"Jesus Christ, I'm not scared to die, I'm a little bit scared of what comes after. Do I get the gold chariot? Do I float through the ceiling? Do I divide and fall apart?"

Agreed. He's the guy that people hate because he pops up everydamnwhere without adding anything of real interest. He is essentially BOHICA's avatar incarnate minus the humourous punch line (you know, a point).

Heroin's not exactly an ice cream sundae.

Out of those I've only heard The Boy Who Could Explode. Thanks for the heads up.

Once upon a time they bought the rights to air a canceled teevee show called "Love Monkey," but they weren't the network that had aired it initially.

Hit show on VH1 is an oxymoron. Loser.

It's sad that the only work Lance Krall gets these days is as one of the homosexuals in those Reitman's commercials.

If I were to say the man that murdered my father deserves to die it would make me a hypocrite. That being said, if he did I wouldn't shed a tear.

The precept of the death penalty being just is inherently flawed. (Notice how I used pretentious words there?) The death penalty is merely legislated murder, giving the illusion to small minded fools that ending a life as punishment for a crime committed is reasonable. It says that the individual cannot kill in answer to a crime committed against them or someone they love, but it's A-Ok for authorities to end a life. Regardless of someone's guilt or apparent level of heinousness of their crimes, doesn't mean that they should be killed to satiate some collective desire for revenge. Executions may be viewed - erroneously - as civilised in this day and age but they are merely a method of mob rule, a throw back to the days where a posse would gather up and string a man up to a tree.

That was fucking retarded.

Personally if I could fly, I wouldn't give a shit if it was "naturally" occurring or not. But I can for sure see that fucking with his angel complex.

SPOILER (Highlight to View) I'm thinking that Sylar and Peter are twins and my reasoning for this is the ability of their father, Mr. Petrelli. All three of their abilities are similar, the dad gains other people's abilities by touching them, Sylar gains them by cutting open their head and figuring out how the ability works while Peter just has to be nearby someone and he can gain their ability. All three have the same end result, just a different way of going about it.

I got to thinking and I've gotta say that the best thing about Mohinder's arc is the fact that he took Maya out of the picture (for a while at least). I can't stand her character one bit. The wrong twin died.
-
From the previews of the next episode that I've seen, Mohinder's arc is going to be tied in neatly with the rest.

sodamntired; "everything I've ever said is the stupidest shit." (Predictable joke? Yes, but I stand by it.)
