I only really started to appreciate While We Were Hunting Rabbits some months after getting that album, but it's been my favourite for quite some time now. It just builds, and that "boat on the ocean/ship lost at sea" climax just gets me every time.

Led Zeppelin - That's the Way This is an amazing song. ZepIII is an often-overlooked album, but it's so solid.

I have to go with It's Been a While Since I Was Your Man. The first time I heard that song (live, August 2003), I was totally blown away. It's just amazing and beautiful. The images and feelings are so honest, and I'm a sucker for that Led Zeppelin IV line. Although... Blue Skies Over Bad Lands has recently gone way up in my books (like within the past couple of weeks). In my current frame of mind, it's probably my (very close) second favourite.

I thought it was a really nice nod to some musicians that he really respects and enjoys listening to. And he actually pulled off doing a song like that.

The only thing I care about is that Neil Young is performing. Everyone else at the Junos can win or lose whatever, I don't care.

Yeah, I replied to one of this dude's polls before I realized that they bordered on spam. Honestly, just post meaningful stuff. And if you're gonna do a poll, it better be a damn good one.

Omissions of the Omen for me. Followed closely by Fearless. Both are lyrically and musically beautiful, easily among MGB's best work.

I say Primer was the best movie of 2004. I mean, it was shot for $7000 and it's simply incredible. I've seen it twice and I still don't fully understand how it ends. I don't think any movie has blown my mind quite as much as this one did.

Wendy Carlos (or Walter Carlos, whatever) - "Country Lane" It's from the CD reissue of the "Clockwork Orange" soundtrack. Pure synthsizer awesomeness.

I'd say North American for Life as well, partly cause I love the song to pieces and partly cause it would be good video material. Although I could see a vintage type of video (with its own kind of world or story, like Apparitions or Strange Days) coming out of We're so Heavy. But this, all of this is academic. There will be no more videos from White Light.

I do consider the line I quoted above to be the ultimate emo lyric. So I have to give TBS credit there.

How can any of us make that kind of judgement, not knowing a person? And "slut" is a word that gets tossed around a hell of a lot. Something tells me you haven't read Raymi's blog. ;)

Although TBS kills it in terms of titles. Cute Without the "E" (Cut From the Team), A Decade Under the Influence, Ghost Man on Third, There's No "I" Team, You're So Last Summer [note: shut up, Hilary Duff]... so classic.

I like some emo, but TBS seems too over-the-top and melodramatic (ie "the truth is you could slit my throat and with my one last gasping breath I'd apologize for bleeding on your shirt"). Kinda cheesy. Give me Thursday instead, or The Used.

Er, wouldn't that be fair trade coffee? Free trade stuff is the kind you can get at Tim's. And for the record, chocolate falls under this category. Things aren't always so awesome for cocoa workers. Fair trade hot chocolate makes you feel even warmer for some reason.

If I had a dollar for every time someone randomly quoted MG(B) on here, I'd be able to purchase (ie bribe owner of) every copy of Lo-Fi B-Sides in existence.
