That cast mostly sucks. There are some good people in there, Liek Simon Pegg and Eric Bana, but the key players suck. I bet they forget and make Spock all full of emotions that he doesn't learn to control until the end of the film. And I don't like the "Adventures of Lil' Star Trek" thing. Why can't they just make them adults with a new cast? It'd be blasphemy, but I think it would still be better than doing the college years. Unless they make it a teen titty comedy.

Blech! Oh well, there are much worse pictures of me. And I think Michael Landsberg looks more like the guy who plays Robocop.

I just watched Courage Under Fire. I haven't seen this since high school. It's bad but in a way very watchable and entertaining, like The Last Samurai. The best part is when Lou Diamond Phillips yells "She's dead!" but for some reason they slow it down a lot and it just seems ridiculous.

Whoever wrote the shit head narration that piece needs to be fired. It had a good angle with the mental health thing, but was so poorly done. The whole thing was like starting an essay with "since the dawn of man".

I thought this was a joke at first, because I'm always surprised when people like The Killers. Then I saw Lou Reed. I recently was able to get into Antony and the Johnsons (which is not easy), after I found out that he toured with Lou Reed, and then Lou was on the album, which was a nice surprise as well. So I downloaded this, thinking maybe The Killers have songs that aren't their singles, and so maybe aren't the worst songs ever. This was not the case. The song was bad, The Killers as a band, lead singer included, were nothing if not annoying. In this song they sounded like a shitty Modest Mouse, who at least make annoying work for them. Lou Reed was nice, but even when he sang the song still sucked. The piano and strings at the end while he sang, just so...obvious, and overdone, and done poorly as well. So, I've finally given this band a chance beyond their god awful singles, and they fail. I'm sorry but I disagree, I think The Killers are the epitome of Top 40 Crap.

I'd like to see them do this movie in the style of Across the Universe, and to be just as successful. Then, 17 year old girls around the world would kill themselves, and there would no longer be a market for this type of thing.

part of my dream was a massive parade held in my honour on my birthday. I went along with it, but occasionally pretended to be humble about the whole thing. It took place in a few settings from my childhood that I haven't been to in years (i just found out my childhood video store is shutting down). I know it slowly turned bad, but I'm not sure how it ended.

Hahaha, I never thought of that as a Christmas movie. Metropolis. It was as good as they claimed.

Yeah but they've got a great movie that covers that already. 24 Hour Party People told his story, however incompletely, and placed in in the bigger, more interesting and important context. The music wasn't Ian Curtis. Him being a drug addict was only because of their producer, which is interesting, but is more about him than Ian Curtis. He was just a monotonous frontman, at the right place at the right time, who died before he did anything truly great, but still somehow gets lumped in with your James Deans and your Kurt Kobains. It looks like they are trying to turn him into some romantic figure, an I just don't think he was. I do enjoy Joy Division, and do think that their story, and also Ian Curtis' is somewhat interesting, but not a biopic worth of interesting.

I like the sound of it, but because it does sound so much like APC at first, it feels like the voice should turn into Maynard's before the song ends, but it doesn't. Either way, i like Billy Howerdel, so if he's a good song writer in the lyric department as well, this could be good.

Being There by Jerzy Kosinski. I saw the movie when I was a kid, and I couldn't wait until I wasn't a kid and would be able to understand it.

I really liked it, but was the only one of my group of friends who had any problem with it. The Robots needed more character. Even the voices were too messed up, they didn't need to sound like bad computer voices. But as soon as they were fighting in the city, the plot was rushed, and the characters especially the robots, suffered for it. Optimus just came off as some no face robot with a serious martyr complex. But, overall, the movie was awesome. So whatever I guess, the sequel will be better.

This movie was everything it needed to be. I laughed and even felt on the verge of tears at times. Very touching when the family parts came up.

Close Encounters of the Third Kind. I wasn't in the right mood, so parts were boring, but in the end I was still so glad I watched it.

My NIN thread wasn't good enough for this? I've got one friend who is like me, and likes old nin more, but he likes new NIN a lot less than me. And I've got another who doesn't know or like old NIN much, and likes the new stuff, and in fact WT and YZ are two of the only albums he actually owns. New NIN isn't god awful when taken out of a greater NIN context. It's average to above average compared to most shit out there.
