  1. Haha. Sounded like a lot better fight than a lot of people had thought. I'm sure Vegas was nervous the first couple rounds with the odds against mcgregor.
  2. That is sweet. Hope the rest surfaces.
  3. Anyone dishing out the cash for this fight in a few weeks? I have an out of town wedding to go to so I don't have to make that decision but wondering how many people are intrigued or think it's just a joke. Hearing both and everything in between.
  4. Aw man that really sucks. Hope you still have fun there this weekend.
  5. Thanks guys for the advice. Honestly have used these ideas. Finally this coming week I'm getting a new system. I like the "raving bitch" in heat comment lol
  6. Hottest week in Western NY will be this week and of course my central air blew out yesterday. Even tested it early in the season. And of course being the hottest week all the stores sold out of the smaller units. Not buying any bigger mobile units until I figure out what this costs to fix the central air. 85 degrees in here right now, ugh. Never had a/c as a kid, got spoiled obviously because I am miserable right now.
  7. Absolutely shocked. Guy looked so healthy and happy when I seen him at a college playing acoustic last year. Amazing voice that will be missed.
  8. I believe he left and came back before the official disbanding? I'm sure someone can correct me if not but I think that's what happened. I know the 'what ifs' are nothing more than that, but interesting to think if that show went down with Ryan if it would have been just what it was meant to be as a fill-in, or led to something else MGB related.
  9. Thanks, did not make that connection. That would have been an interesting show.
  10. Some randomness for the random MG thread. Thought this was interesting, a short article about Dave leaving MGB. Says Ryan from Limblifter was to fill in for a show in Saskatoon in Sept 01. I'm guessing that show never happened? Good little read from that time period anyway. http://www.chartattack.com/news/2001/08/27/dave-genn-quits-matthew-good-band/
  11. Sounds cool, would be interested in this as well.
  12. Totally understand where your coming from! But I also bet a lot of people feel the same about underdogs. With Apparitions being on there I assume it holds a spot for a lot of people. I really do think it's a longshot but songs like change of season i think would fit great with this lineup, would love to hear stu's take on that guitar solo.
  13. Been able to listen to a few more shows in detail you recorded Adam, and I really enjoyed them. Had some long work days and cold nights in February, was cool to come here and get a taste of the tour from you. Glad it was a fun experience too for you.
  14. Have to agree with this. After some downtime since the BM tour I am thinking back how excited I was for the BM tour and merch, can't help but think Underdogs would be really cool in the same way with a EP, tour and some sort of throwback merch. Really liking Decades and ready for the new album but wouldn't mind this throwback tour to happen after that...
  15. Haha, I actually googled about the transition from sugar smacks to honey smacks back in the day because of that song. Must have been a rainy day after school. Or the dialup connection must have been working fast that day and I took advantage of it.
  16. Wow what when on those old MGB boards lol. I'm actually kind of interested in some stories.
  17. We were I think in group 4, the 9th and 10th person in that group. I should have caught you here before the concert to meet up! Agreed it was so worth it, glad you enjoyed too.
  18. There was a bit of VIP talk in this thread so wanted to let everyone know from my view, it was really cool and worth it. Probably can't afford it everytime but I attended Saturday afternoon and liked that we could leave after the soundcheck, so got to walk the town and get some food and drink. We got let in right at the time we were scheduled, checked in, got the crowd free merch shopping, which to me wasn't at first a big deal but after seeing the lines at the show, really appreciated this, and then the soundcheck for me was really cool. Matt was joking around a lot with the sound/lighting guys in his inner ear monitors. We got Load Me Up, Decades and Born Losers. Was cool to just be sitting back and relaxing and watching basically your own private concert, my wife was like, cant we just do it like this the whole night?, ha. Probably my only gripe is that we had to take pics 10 people at a time, so wasn't huge on that. I tried to get next to the band so we could cut others out of the the pic but we were #9 and #10 in line for the pic so we were on the outside. It's a very brief hello, take pic and bye, which was fine but just to let everyone know i snuck in "thanks for posting on the bored, we all enjoy it", he said "right on man", haha.
  19. Attended the Hamilton show Saturday night and wanted to say I had a great time. The venue was cool looking, the sound mix from my seats was great and the crowd was into it. Wasn't sure how it would be with reserved seating but I actually enjoyed getting a drink with my wife before the show and not making a mad dash for the front railing when the doors open. We were on Peter's side 20 rows back and it was a great view and looked that way from anywhere in there. As soon as Giant kicked in, everyone stood up and there was no sitting back down. A few notes, really enjoyed Craig Stickland. Seems like a genuine nice guy and no doubt a talented musician. What he does with all the pedal work to get that full band sound by himself is really cool. Tragically Hip cover was a nice touch too. He had a helluva story about his van breaking down, basically got in the venue at start time and started playing. Matt said he was getting stuffy and on some antibiotics from the climate changes across the tour, but didn't effect anything that I noticed. A stage light blew out right before Suburbia, some funny joking around about that. It seemed everything went smooth for the band and it was just a very enjoyable show. Some people there to converse rather than listen and of course people yelling songs in the middle of the BM set, but all in good fun, didn't distract me. Matt also made the comment he doesn't hear crowd banter with the inner ear monitors and cant see without his glasses so certainly didn't effect him haha. Didn't see any crowd issues/security stuff, or anything like that, venue staff was friendly and everyone seemed respectful. Glad I took the drive from Buffalo. Have a few other comments I'll throw in the appropriate threads, hope that was worth a read.
  20. Andy, I'm going to the same show/VIP. Haven't heard anything yet either. Will let you know if I do. I still think Monday or Tuesday we will.
  21. There isn't one thing you said Adam that I can think of to go against your points. Unfortunately you gotta lick your wounds on that one and chalk it up to this guy being a guy abusing his security duty. Very well written statement and its really so true the negative stigma with live recordings.
  22. Really like this new song as well. Hope the rest of the album has this kind of direction.
  23. Was anxiously awaiting feedback from this show, thank you
  24. Thanks for sharing this. I personally never heard Dave mention anything related to MGB. I tuned in for the MGB parts and stayed for the overall music knowledge drops which I didn't plan on. Very good video all around.
  25. Thought this was a really good radio interview I found on youtube from the 2005 tour. Just happened to pop up for me on my youtube mix https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Et6SIiQb7rM Never heard it but im sure some of you did. What I thought was interesting is how he said Deep Six might get played on a night. Don't think it ever did though? But interesting retrospective interview.
