  1. I agree. Those two are slaying me.
  2. So anyone know if the vinyl I preordered on Amazon is also going to be Blue like the ones in the MG store? Also there's a shirt on preorder now too.
  3. I cannot get over Born to Kill and I Miss New Wave. Blowing my mind. I like everything else too. But damn those too are something.
  4. if you fly me out from Ottawa i'll buy the tickets ;) haha
  5. finally got home and downloaded the album. giving it a listen now. already loving I Miss New Wave. agh omg. agh. Decided to use 1 code for a cd, 1 code for the digital, and gave 1 away. I'm a minute forty into I Miss New Wave. and it's just making me more excited for the rest of it.
  6. Hmm. I've never had that experience with Stu. I find he always looks so into it. And he sways around and like his whole body is in it haha. But it's true, it's not the most important thing. Though I feel like if they're into, you're more into it too. Mutual into it-ness. And yeah Blake is great. I agree with you and Jesse whole-heartedly. His voice and range is top notch. He also is hella into playing and fun to watch. Also at TURF he played while smoking a cigarette and I really enjoyed the hilarity of that.
  7. Well, thus far it is Stu and Blake. Bones replacement is the only real question here.
  8. I've been vibing to Pledge of Allegiance a lot, so I wanna amend my previous encore list to include it. I'd be super into getting to hear that one.
  9. Yeah. That's the one. I feel like he was probably more talking about the EP in his mysterious foreshadowing. But as you said, only time will tell. Or maybe Blake or Stu will haha. Dunno if they know yet either though.
  10. I'm sitting bass-side front row for the NAC, so I hope it's someone fun!
  11. She's someone who's pretty active in the fb group, but isn't a member on here. She's also pretty well connected. I met her during the chaotic neutral tour cause we both went to a lot of the same shows. she knows Rich and was talking to him about it. He said (in September) that this was the first he had heard about it (so yeah, probably not) but also said it's up to Matt, and still seemed open to the idea of doing it.
  12. Nice guy. But very boring to watch. So stoic. I'm gonna miss Bones he was hilarious and fun. Kelly said Rich would be open to doing it. But as of yet, he has not been asked so I dunno. Milos is busy doing a lot of like producing and stuff though isn't he? He's always posting his projects on his insta. Dunno if he's available either.
  13. According to my friend who just graduated from McMaster the Hammer actually has an emerging night scene, music scene, arts and restaurants kind of thing going for it right now. But I cannot confirm this, as I have never been there lol. Only passing through to London. It's just the truth ahaha
  14. I can vouch for London too. It was a great venue. Not really sure about anything else to do while you're there though. It's a bit further, but you can get GA floor for Toronto, 3 nights to choose from, and endless possibilities of other things to do in the great city of Toronto. If you feel like going even further, Corona Theatre is one of my favourite venues that Matt plays at. This show, in Montreal, is also general admission. Montreal is also an awesome city full of cool things to do.
  15. I almost put Night Orders too. Both those songs are so good.
  16. I loved the Arrows Tour. Back when my income was more modest, so I *only* (I put * cause i know I'm fortunate enough to have the luxury of multiple attendances when some people on here don't live close to places he tours) made it to 2 shows on the official tour. I had such a good time. Even at the stuffy old Grand Theatre in Kingston where they made us sit down the whole time (like ushers actually came and told you to sit down). I really enjoyed listening to all the live road stuff too.
  17. Guns of CarolinaIn a World Called Catastrophe Silent Army in the Trees Volcanoes We Have Done This Before, We Will Do It Again (I can dream, right?)
  18. Same. I'm passing one on to my aunt I think, but I definitely have at least 1 extra. Maybe more depending.
  19. So did you get to download it now? Or will it not be available till the 2nd?
  20. Yeah! The email still mentioned the actual release date though (Dec 2) but I'm not home yet to try either! Fingers crossed. But at least Dec 2nd is real soon anyway!
  21. Same.
  22. As we get more sneak peaks, and access to clips, and singles on iTunes etc... I've started to think a lot about the music. I was wondering, with a project like this where you're reworking previous songs, did you sit down and go "Okay. Today I'm going to re-think Suburbia" and then thought about different riffs and melodies and arrangements etc. Or did you approach it with the new tune in mind on its own, and then thought about which songs might fit the tune/riff/idea that you had in mind? I guess I'm just wondering how you would approach something like this, when the songs are each already establish, stand-alone entities, loved by many. If you scrap what you already know (lyrics aside of course) and just start over fresh, or build from the existing song out. Or maybe both of those things? Oh, or if it was like a mutual brain-storm with Stu, Blake, Bones, Warne etc in the studio, or if you went in already knowing what your vision was. It's a really neat project. I'm interested how it all came together I guess.
  23. I like both. I'm partial to dark, moody music ahaha. And I think a new version would have to really blow me away to take Suburbia (OG)'s place. It's one of my top 5 songs, depending on the day sometimes my favourite out of all. But I really do enjoy the new one. Give me some time with it and we'll see my answer later. I already feel predisposed to like it, because I like the old one so much.
  24. We were taking about this in the You're About to 1999 thread. There's been some debate aha
