The inspiration from the Silent Hill video games is pretty awesome. (ie; otherworld). I really like this show. They really do capture the early-mid 80's vibe here. Love the D&D stuff, reminds me a little of ET. Actually I feel like I'm watching a show that was literally made in the 80's. It's that good.

Still no Sault Ste Marie show. Arg. Well my In-laws live in Chatham-Kent so I guess London is my only shot. North Bay is too far to drive for one show. At least if I see him in London I can make it a trip to see the In-laws. I think I do want to see this tour and treat myself for once. I don't really get out any more unless I'm volunteering or going grocery shopping since I do shift work. This would be a nice Treat.

I just finished a second run through Mass Effect Andromeda. I really like this game. It has its flaws and I am annoyed that I still get frame rate drops with a GTX 1070, however it was good. I wished they had made DLC for this. I just started Rise of the Tomb Raider. So far... meh. Also playing Shenmue I-II re-release for the PC. Lots of bugs ?

Rich Priske's new band

Wow he's really aged. I guess it was 13 years ago when I last saw the guy during the In a Coma tour. Apparently he's been nominated for an Emmy in the past. -
That was a good interview.

Some flat earther uses Strange Days video as promo!
Sly Botts replied to Outtahere's topic in Matthew Good
I honestly can't believe that in this day and age, despite overwhelming evidence, people believe the earth is flat. I guess the internet has a lot to do with it. -
Opinons? https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2018/apr/10/fat-pride-obesity-public-health-warnings-dangerous-weight-levels I agree with this article. I can't believe that people are falling for the "fat but fit" trend. The science is in, Obesity is not healthy, and if you're "fat but fit" you still have an increased risk for heart disease. Obesity is the second leading cause of life-style related cancers! It's irresponsible to celebrate being obese just to save hurt feelings.

I hear you. He used to play in Sault Ste Marie, (at least one show per tour) back in the early to mid 00's. But has not been back since. It would be nice if he would come back, I'd love to be able to see him play live again without having to drive 8 hours either way. I guess being in Canada that is difficult since many major cities are hours worth of driving from each other

Re-installed Mass Effect 2 PC... man this game truly is a masterpiece. The pinnacle of Bioware before the EA buyout. (This game was not completed under a rushed EA schedule like 3 was). Joker has the best lines for comic relief. Just a well done game. You can tell which games had lots of time put in. The first Dragonage was something like 5 years. That's why it was so good.

Thanks brother. Kind of you to say.

I have given this some thought, and really, after reading what you've posted, feel that I deal with things in a similar way. Given what you've said, I think I am very similar. I look at it this way. Life is suffering, bad things happen to everyone. Things can be good now (enjoy things when they are good) but something bad will eventually happen at some point, (ie; parents get sick, kids get cancer or dog dies or whatever) and I think I've accepted that. I don't think I'm ignoring emotions or anything, more so like you said, I think I am just able to separate myself from what other people are dealing with, which really is a required skill in healthcare. I see it as an honour to provide care to people who are dying. It makes me feel good to provide good care to people in one of the most important events in their lives.

Just finished Resident evil 0 HD edition for PC. Very well done port I'd have to say. I was tinkering around trying to get my PC version of Resident evil 2 to work with little success. Instead I used a gamecube emulator to play that version, which is also well done. Gears of War ultimate edition for PC was poorly ported. Game stutters lots, some AI issues etc; Have to use Vsync which I hate using. I prefer fast syc with a frame limiter. Most games are super smooth when I do that.

I'm just going to respectfully roll my eyes at this one. LOL Since it was almost 20 years ago.

Wasn't it rumoured she was dating or went on to date a member of the band? Hence the inside info? She was kind of a snot box if I remember, but I was 20-21 back then so maybe I could be remembering it wrong. She was really active on RFH and I think Metro as well. She was a blonde bomber for sure.

Wasn't she that girl that was named "xxlikesitdirtyxx" or something like that?

I want to put this out there... I work in a field where I often care for people who I see almost as much as my own family. Some of these people, I work with for years... then they die. Some of them I work with for only months, or even days. Most often though, at least a year. Strange thing is.. it doesn't bother me. I see it as a fact of life. I comfort them when they're dying, provide palliative care etc; and I feel bad for family members, but even then, sometimes I don't. I rationalize it for what it is, disease process, etc; Even recently (within last 7 years) when my own family members died, I didn't shed a tear. I rationalized it (ie; they had Parkinsons, cancer, heart attack, "it happens", "it was their time"). I am a very caring and emotional person though. Does anyone find this strange? Has my professionalism made me apathetic to death? Or am I just being a realist? What do you guys think? Does anyone else here work in a field where they care for people dying or see lots of death?

They say you should never judge a man until you walk a mile in his shoes... that way, you're a mile away from him and YOU HAVE HIS SHOES! ? -

So far so good Man. -
I think the problem here is that many of these issues are nuanced which require nuanced approaches as people try to over simplify them. You make good arguments here though but with all due respect, I don't agree with your theory that the rise of the left is due to "Right intellectuals" or the "Right". This fight between Marxism and Capitalism has been going on for over a century now, and I think there really are more nuanced reasons for this than just right wing intellectuals doubling down. Socially, it is undeniable that our society has *slowly* shifted left and I think personally, that there *is* a "Cultural Marxism" phenomenon out there. I used to consider myself almost a socialist (left of centre). I even voted NDP since I was 18. However after coming to terms with things/values in my life and figuring out who I am and what I stand for, I had to admit to myself that Socialism was incompatible with my world view. I think people are taught in various ways to hate conservatives, that in general, cons are "evil", "ignorant" or "bigoted" ect; you know the usual. I discovered that this is incorrect. Anyways I guess I don't really have anything useful to add to this discussion at this time so I'll just leave it at that.

You can still tweet him however, which is what I usually do. Depending on what it is, and not very often. -
I still skip "every name is my name" every time.
