For me those games were what got me started on PC gaming. I mean I remember some stuff from the 80's but I was really too small. The early 90's though.. man I had a 386 with all those games! :)

Yeah I really enjoyed that part.

He didn't sing it in Sarnia. I was just being a smart ass though because I figured he purposely has stopped singing it. Just trying to joke around. Welcome back!
-
Hey don't you guys think the lyric "The Devil's on sugar smacks" is the best part of Hello Time Bomb? I sure do! I wonder why he won't sing it whenever he sings that song? Anyone else notice that? ......... lol

Yeah it was pretty crazy on those boards. I remember the APA and Metro mostly. Good times though. I was called "Circum" and "BladeRunner_09" in those days.

Oh I just love that song, I don't know why. I'm fond of the Lo-fi b-sides version. When he played it in Sarina it was awesome.

Hi guys, So are there any PC gamers on here? If so, tell me if you can remember your first gaming video card and if you had a favourite period for PC gaming. I'll start. My first gaming card was a Diamond Monstet 3D Voodoo II 8mb 3D accelerator. It ran best with Glide vs the standard Direct 3D which is the most common these days. Basically Glide was a form of Open GL. After that I moved onto a Voodoo 3 16mb card, Riva TNT 32mb, Geforce 4 MX 64mb, Radeon 9800 pro 128mb, EVGA Geforce 8800 Gt 512mb, EVGA Geforce GTX 560 ti 1Gb then to my current ASUS Geforce GTX 760 direct cu ii OC 2GB card. I'm saving for an ASUS GTX 1070 8GB card. Best card I had for performance and life span vs money spent is my current GTX 760 which i bought for 220 in 2014 and was already almost 2 years old when I bought it. (It still plays new games fairly well at high settings with some tweeking) followed by the Radeon 9800. A good card. Best era for PC gaming for me was the late 90's. Red alert, xwing alliance, half life, unreal, descent freespace, resident evil, star trek games gallore, star wars games gallore (ie; dark forces 1 and 2). Summoner, list goes on and on. What about you guys?

Yeah the old metro actually continued as a site called "go analog" until 2 or 3 years ago. People seemed to mellow out by then and it was obviously no longer mg themed however people still talked about him from time to time (ie new album). I think the old Metro was just full of people who had yet to experience life and mature. Lots of highscool type bullying went on there. They really picked on some girl named Jen and that Scot guy. (Yes I remember). Im pretty sure i saw someone at the show last night who used to post there (a few maybe) but i forgot their names. I also spoke to a fan who only just started listening to mg. I should have told him about this site.

Sarnia - March 7th Encore: Born Losers Apparitions Weapon (New song not played) This was my first MG show in 10 years. The venue was the Station Music Hall. It was a small venue but you could pretty much see no matter where you were. If you preferred to sit, you could sit in the back near one of the three bars and still see pretty good. Sound was alright, sometimes it was hard to make out some of the lead guitar though. The band played very well, and there did not appear to be any significant technical issues from what I could tell, however it's hard to say since I wouldn't know what to look for. Matt seemed to Ribb on ?Stu? (Lead guitar) a bit which added some humour to the show. The band certainly did not disappoint and it was nice to hear those old BM songs live that I,ve always wanted to hear. Something strange though... Does Matt normally just walk off after the encore without saying anything? Some people seemed confused about weather or not the show was really over. There were a lot of talkers during the show (lots). Lots of folks who appeared to be there just to drink and chat. It didn't, take away from the show however. Matt went into the crowd at one point, walked over to one of the bars and sang Lets get it on, which was neat, and yes the monkey mask was on stage to the left of the drummer. Overall I quite enjoyed the show, lead guitarist was fantastic. Thanks for coming out Matt. Note: I forgot to add Matt made a comment asking if people ever get confused about the City on the American side of the bridge being called the same as the Canadian side. He was corrected and told it was called Port Huron. He then said something along the lines of thinking it was a Sault Ste Marie situation followed by friendly "booo's" from the crowd. Oh Matt, you poor man. Lol. Maybe if you went back to the Soo and played again you wouldn't get the cities mixed up. *hint hint*. If anyone was there I was the guy wearing the Mass effect N7 hoodie.

Thanks for the updates on the shows here guys, I'm really excited to see this tour. I never got to see Matt live until 2005. So having the chance to hear BM in it's entirety like they were when they were touring back when I was in high school, is almost like a dream come true or a big treat. I never thought I would ever get the chance to see this!

The Nintendo store on the Wii U has some good deals at times. Unfortunately this Zelda game coming out soon will be the last Wii U game to be made as Nintendo will be moving on to the the switch. I have a bunch of games I want to start playing (fallout 4, Deus Ex Mankind Divided) but I'm saving to buy a Geforce GTX 1070. Once I get my hands on one of those beasts, I intend to enjoy those!

No Matt, you have to play it "perfectly"!!! If you don't make that obscure flutter with your voice on cue during "I Miss New Wave" and if I don't hear that barely audible popping sound during the second verse on "Strange Days" I'm going to demand a refund! ;) edit: Hope your wife has a speedy recovery.

This doesn't really surprise me. See I had a strange experience at my last Matt Good Show in Sault Ste Marie back in 2007. I watched the whole show and it seemed like a good show with no issues. Then afterwards, I read Matt's blog where he quoted a journalist who was there and was complaining about the show and how horrible the people were. Matt then mentioned never coming back to play in Sault Ste Marie again. It was really confusing and kind of a disappointment because everything at the show seemed fine to me and seemed like Matt was just being a dick. After that, I kind of lost interest in Matt Good's music and music in general due to my own busy life, (Not because of the show), however i have remained a loyal fan and over the last 2 years started listening to his music again because I really liked some of his recent stuff and because of nostalgia. So I don't really expect anything (as it should be). I'm just going to enjoy the show. I have to take holidays and travel 700km to go see it.... but I'm going to enjoy it regardless of what happens darn-it! (Sarnia!) Anyone here from Sarnia, I'll see you there!

Beautiful Midnight re-visited digital download

I bought the ticket today, however the website advertises on the purchase of the ticket that a digital copy of beautiful midnight revisited is included. Not a big deal anyways, just wondering how everyone here got theirs. Would be nice to have though. -
Hi, could anyone please help me? I purchased a ticket for Matt's show in Sarnia. The ticket says I also get a free digital copy of BM revisited however I can't find any instructions on how to redeem or obtain this. Thanks.

I hope this EP does well for him.
