  1. Yes I have that acoustic one, but the one I am just now seeing pop up is like a straight up orchestra instrumental, no vocal. I agree, the Rooms versions are really special, and I'm glad they exist.
  2. I ordered from his site and also had the same issue, so I don't think its necessarily where you order from.
  3. That's interesting! I genuinely like the taste and ritual of coffee, it's not necessarily the caffeine that reels me in. I do go through tea phases as well, but there's just nothing quite the same as getting to work, flipping on my monitors, making a cup of joe and settling down to read the news before starting the day's project.
  4. Anyone else here keeping up? Whether you are Canadian or American, I'm interested to hear opinions all around. Me, I'm down here in Texas, as a Democrat (we exist!) and the husband and I have been watching in disbelief for the most part.
  5. I'll send you and Community in exchange for some Tim Hortons! I drank coffee ever since I was about ten or so. Always with cream and sugar until I was about 24 and I switched to black. Sometimes for a special occasion brunch I will sweeten it. And I usually follow a nice diner with an espresso. I love when they come with a little biscotti to dip in. I work for a non-profit that helps farmers grow coffee in Haiti and a few other under developed areas and its usually pretty good. Other than that, we usually have community or timmy go's when my mom sends it. We have a keurig at work and I bought one of the stainless steel reusable cups that you can put your own coffee in, that was a good investment.
  6. Well I'll be damned. I'm having an issue in the same spot. Mine skipped over two words and continues to play. I adjusted the antiskate all the way up and it did play the whole line through but with a bit of crackle where the skip would have been. And for what it's worth, I ordered from Matt's online store.
  7. I'm just gonna throw this in here while we're talking about shuffles. I had to take all other music off my phone to conserve space for the time being, and I've been doing a shuffle of all MG and MGB stuff on my daily commute. Today, Primetime Deliverance Instrumental came on and I really think I'd never heard it before or knew that it existed. I'm sure it was in with that download that was around a year or so ago. Anyone know where it came from? It's categorized as being on In a Coma, but this feels like new news to me, unless I just missed something, which is entirely possible.
  8. Yep it's inside in a paper sleeve.
  9. Mira, I personally would not get a tattoo that says whoring but that doesn't mean you shouldn't. I intend to get one but need someone to work up the art for me, based on one of the short stories called The Purple Switch. Maybe if I can ever narrow down my most favorite lyric I would consider that as well. Let's see. I have all the album CDs, several of them signed. I have the Vancouver Seeds CD with Euphony on it. Orange and Blue Loser Anthems and Lo-Fi B-Sides Euphony demo tape A random mini cd preview of BM, the Canadian and american releases of BM as well as a promo copy AOB with A Pleasurable Headache lyric booklet Vinyl - Avalanche, Vancouver, LOES, Arrows, CN and all the new releases with the exception of LOTGA which I intend to order. 1st and 2nd editions of At Last There is Nothing to Say, one signed Lithograph of the Avalanche CD cover, signed Hospital Music postcards Black power lines hoodie from Vancouver tour, Aqua hoodie from Arrows tour, black arrows tee, white license plate tee and one very old MGB tshirt that will never fit me again. A plethora of ticket stubs, and one very pretty booklet from the Jackson Triggs winery show. I would like to one day find a nice Avalanche poster but haven't had any luck.
  10. Is it the line, "down there something's got to match", where it should be "something down there's got to match" It's the same in the cd liner, but still incorrect, so makes sense how they said "glad they kept the typo in" Also, Raygun plays as a 45 which I was not expecting. I put it on it at 33 not even thinking of it and, whoa. Don't make my mistake. Sounds stellar though! And BM. Damn. Running for home, amazing. That vocal. So good.
  11. All of my records were delivered today, including CN. I'm stuck at work but can't wait to get home and see them!
  12. Well what about the other albums? Do the other double LPs have music on all sides? If so this makes no sense seeing as the cost for all the double LPs is the same. The only record that is less is Raygun, understandably so.
  13. I know there is some criticism toward WLRRR but for me it is quite solid from the first track through blue skies. It's an album I have definitely under appreciated up until the past few months. I find that every so often I rediscover an album after not hearing it for a bit. Before WLRRR it was HM and before that was Vancouver. I love having so much content to rotate and shuffle through.
  14. Yep that's one of the postcards from hospital music. They came with my order I guess as a bonus. I love them all but that one is my favorite.
  15. I currently have most of my mg stuff in one cube but when the new records arrive I have to start a second. Here is a photo of the whole shelf and one of the mg cube. Hopefully they've attached ok,my home PC is not the greatest.
  16. Oops submitted too early, stupid mobile.
  17. My running playlist has a wide variety of mg. Oh be joyful, put out your lights, Alert, little terror, near fantastica, last parade, Vancouver national anthem, zero orchestra, arrows, Via Dolorosa, we're long gone, garden of knives, no liars, harridan, girls in black, Cloudbusting, army of lions. For long runs I throw in some mellower stuff at certain points like tripoli, kid down the well, suburbia, etc
  18. We have one of those giant ikea shelves that have all the cubes. I have all my MG vinyl standing up in one of them so you can see the spine. The dog is really good, gets the job done. But I agree a box set would be what I would prefer as well.
  19. I think the cost has to do with the fact that these are 2 records, with the exception of Raygun which is a single and priced accordingly, at least around where I am. I wonder if they opted not to a box set since not all Matt's records are available yet. The complete solo set and complete MGB set would be ideal in my mind. BM, HM, Underdogs and Raygun are set to arrive within a few days for me, will have to find the time to have a listening party. it would be cool to listen to all the records chronologically. But, that's 9 records! Here's to hoping everyone finally receives CN sometime in the very near future... ETA: ah crap! Just realized one of the shipping notices is via maple music so it must be CN! So still waiting on shipping info for underdogs and Raygun which were a gift.
  20. I emailed them last weekend and they said they should be shipping at the end of the month. My guess is that they threw it in with the reissue pressings but who knows.
  21. Better safe than sorry! While we were up in Barrie for the show in November, I discovered someone back home had hacked my account and cleared it out. I am now super picky about my banking security.
  22. And what is considered top dollar?
  23. I ordered through the mg store and shipping was only 8 bucks, so seems like that might save a few dollars.
  24. I also first thought it was about tacos.
