  1. . Yeah it got skipped over in Barrie. Out of the new album songs I saw, I would say Girls in Black is hands down number 1, followed by Cloudbusting, Lions and Los Alamos. Of course, moment and Kid were also skipped over but if I had to guess, I would think kid down the well was probably really good also.
  2. Harridan would be a welcomed addition to the video thread, if you are so inclined :)
  3. Shite! Someone has to video that if it happens. Y'know....for the greater good and all.
  4. My signed cd arrived sometime while we were out of town for the show.
  5. Barrie set list: AYSD No Liars Load me up Alert status red Cold water Army of lions Single explosion Born losers Advertising on police cars Everything is automatic Time bomb Los Alamos Apparitions Weapon --------- Cloudbusting Giant Girls in black The venue was completely GA with two sets of stairs on each side and a balcony/second floor. I made way to the front soon as I got in. There was a girl next to us that nearly got in two physical fights trying to maintain her space. the girls in the very front abandoned their spots to avoid the drama, so after Helman was done I was able to move to the very front and smack between Matt and Stu. Matt came and crouched down on top of the speakers right in front of us and then into the crowd during Lions. Born losers was a really fun choice, as well as single explosion. Los Alamos was beautiful and Cloudbusting was a ton of fun. Girls in black was the closer and Matt went off the other side of the stage and into the crowd and performed the last half of it from on the stairs and it was electrifying. After he finished the chanty bit, which was amazing, he came back and collapsed onto the stage to close it out. I kind of wanted to get a set list but I left it to the younger people around me. I have enough mg stuff in my collection and the experience was better than that anyhow. The stage guy handed me a water lol. It seemed that maybe this list was catered more to the casual listener - I was really hoping to see Harridan - but that's ok. It was a really solid show. The crowd was pretty into it from what I could tell but I didn't look back that often!
  6. Last minute question here - does Canada do crazy shopping deals tomorrow like here in the US? I'm concerned about border crossing times.
  7. Just saw this in my email. I don't mind waiting for the vinyl, and I'm super happy they decided to ship out the CDs. The whole vinyl debacle, in general, is so crazy.
  8. I'm getting excited! Ok, more excited. I'm going to avoid the videos til after. I would rather experience it in the moment the first time. I am really hoping for Harridan, Army of Lions, Girls in Black, Cloudbusting and Los Alamos for CN content and police cars to be thrown in. If he were to pull out Born to Kill, near fantastica or primetime deliverence, that would be my ultimate set list for Barrie, but I know those are not even in the works. Just dreaming. I took the day off tomorrow to prepare for the trip and we begin our journey north Friday morning. This might just be the most insane trip I've made for a show, but I was really bummed about missing the Arrows tour. Thanks to MG for touring this time of year, otherwise I would have missed again. Funny enough, I think my CN vinyl and cd will be arriving while we are away.
  9. Ok I just scanned through this Scott Helman's top songs on spotify. I wonder what kind of experience I'm in for in Barrie as I was planning to get there early and stake out a good spot up front. I think I'll probably end up feeling old Hahaa. I certainly appreciate all kinds of music but this is way off my radar. I guess the good news is that it looks like the song lengths aren't very long and they seem to move pretty fast. Is this guy on the rise up there, or pretty popular already?
  10. I'm with you, I really want to see that one.
  11. Here is the Los Alamos link, it took a few searches to find https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nCVAYdZSIFY
  12. I never get that. I saw Matt at a theatre in 2009 and it seemed like everyone sat glued to their chairs until the point came where others around them stood up forcing them to as well. I think the venue I went with for this tour seems to be general admission only. Wow. That venue though! Look at the organ in the background, looks like an awesome setting. Very happy is Stu is along on this tour as well.
  13. What a great setlist. I love that it's heavy on new material, though I was hoping for some AOD stuff since that is the tour I missed, but really I'm glad to have missed that one over this tour. I'm getting so excited for our trip! We've got our passports ready to go, I'm hoping the border won't be too busy on the 27 since it's the day after American Thanksgiving so people will be out and about. Either way, we are leaving early in the morning to ensure plenty of time to get there, I think the drive is just over 3 hours.
  14. Hmm that means I would have to start driving from Buffalo at 7am. The day after thanksgiving. Looks doubtful.
  15. The description in the online store says "includes instant digital download of Chaotic Neutral". Also, the price is now $19.99, whereas my invoice says I paid $25.99
  16. Just checked the online store.... "presale vinyl ships on or around November 27, 2015. Date is subject to change." Mhmmm.
  17. I....completely forgot about my order! I'm impatient so I purchased the iTunes download. With my luck it will be shipped out while I'm on my roadtrip up to the show. I will have to make sure to have the post office hold my mail.
  18. Is there anything other than cassettes you are looking for? Or is that your primary focus? I found in the past that if I looked diligently I always ended up finding the rarity I was searching for. Took years though. But, I was never looking for cassettes so you may have a harder time with all that. I will keep my eyes peeled though.
  19. I always thought it was "my heart like belladonna swims some plasma undermine"
  20. I will admit though that the "Christmas morning" feeling is an amazing experience as well. It also pains me that my son will never know the agony of waiting patiently until the moment the radio station plays your favorite song and you can finally record it to a cassette, but of course during the ending fade out the DJ comes back on with some cheesy bullhonky and you have to wait again. Then finally scoring a stereo with a double cassette so you can record that song into it several times in a row effectively eliminating the need to continually rewind. Ah, technology.
  21. Andplusalso, without demos we wouldn't be able to enjoy songs like Night Orders, We Have Done This Before, etc
  22. What a beautiful suggestion! I will have to amp up my winter wardrobe for sure.
  23. That's so sweet of you! As of this morning we are planning to attempt and make the trip up. If something comes up though and we can't I may just take you up on that. Hopefully I won't have to though :)
  24. You guys. My husband has agreed to take the year off from hosting Thanksgiving so we can go to my hometown, enabling me to catch a show! I am sosososo excited. Logistically, it has to be Barrie. Which I know zero things about. But that's ok, we knew zero things about Belleville in 2009 and it turned out alright. So......what's in Barrie?
  25. This is the part that bums me out the most, there is no way I will be able to get one unless they don't sell out on tour and go up in the online store.
