  1. That's the thing, I do respect Hoskins as an actor, I just thought it was funny that he'd be in this movie.
  2. Yah, I hated that one also.
  3. Haven't purchased anything lately, though I did get Failure's "Fantastic Planet" album for free this week.
  4. Bob Hoskins?? hahahaha
  5. What's with the insults?? I can be entertained by bands who put on less explosive performances. It's not as if the only band I like is Rammstein. But I do beleive that the fire adds more of a visual element than you would get from any other band's performance. Alot of bands seem to lack a real stage presence, they just stand around playing, barely audible if at larger venues and you're far from the stage. It gets boring pretty quickly when you're far back in a crowd where you can barely see the band and barely hear them. You act is if Rammstein doesn't play at all, but just wander around spewing flames every which way and do nothing else. In terms of how they actually sound live, they play pretty well and being inaudible is never a problem. When the show's in a relatively small venue and you got 2,000 people at the most, then I like a more "mellow" performance as much as the next person
  6. They play too, and well. But just playing is not nearly as entertaining.
  7. Not great... what is great though is your sig.
  8. It is people that he's cooking. Or just one person, the band's keyboardist, Christian "Flake" Lorenz is placed inside the pot, the vocalist then sprays the pot with the flamethrower, Flake escapes the pot however and is chased around with the flamethrower. This is done for the song "Mein Teil" (My Part) which is based on the true story of Armin Meiwes, a cannibal who met his victim over the internet.
  9. Pfft, no. It's a friggin Civic, I know better than to put in thousands of dollars into making it look like a racecar when it's got like 120 HP. Only thing I did was put in a CD player to replace the tape-player it came with.
  10. I'd post a pic of mine, but I'm sure everyone's seen one exactly like it before countless times. 2002 Civic.
  11. Well just about any band can get on stage and perform their songs, but in that case the audience may as well just stay home and listen to the album on their stereo. A good spectacle adds another dimension to the performance, makes it into a real show.
  12. Rammstein... never seen anyone put on more of a show than they do.
  13. Apparently a side project of the Deftones' lead singer Chino Moreno. Alot less of the screaming than you'd hear in most Deftones songs. All in all, good stuff.
  14. You're absolutely right.
  15. The Bible, especially the New Testament isn't all that "oppressive." It's just often mis-used. For example people who live by the Bible are often expect to go to church and do various other things. If ya read the story of Jesus, he never said anything about that. He was never "alright, fork over 10% of your wages and I'll tell ya some good stuff" nor did he say people should all go to church on a sunday, sing in choirs and so forth. Alot of the times he just preached to a small group of people (his regulars, the 12 apostles) though occasioally speaking to large crowds of whoever would listen.
  16. Interesting question. Since the Bible was written by many people over a long period of time, it's very important to understand the context, history, etc of each particular part when interpreting it. People often take it out of context to make it mean something it doesn't even intend.
  17. Just rented it a couple of days ago. Have to say how absolutely awful it was. It was actually pretty interesting up until the aliens came into the picture.. that was powerfully lame. Since it was the DVD...I saw both the theatrical version and the extended version with the alternate ending. For either version, worst movie I've seen in a while.
  18. It's an American thing I would think.
  19. What works in some places doesn't necessarily work everywhere else.
  20. When the USSR collapsed, and Russia became more deomcratic, people got various freedoms, such as private enterprise, free(er) speech, etc. But on the downside, society became more chaotic and insecure. The mafia has run rampant, and many people can no longer afford basic needs. So I think alot of people think to hell with freedom of speech and enterprise if we can have peace, stability, order, and security... Which is probably something they can attain from a more authoritative form of government,
  21. "93 Million Miles" - 30 Seconds To Mars
  22. Is it true that the back cover has negative reviews as opposed to other books which usually use quotes of praise about the book from critics??
