Whose Loseranthems Has The Lowest Number?
Moonlight_Graham replied to Radiohead's topic in Matthew Good
14161 (i think thats the exact #). A few weeks after it was released i went to the store to grab & they were sold out. Finally found my copy a few years later in a Toronto HMV that had like a zillion of them. -
"So Far, So Good". LOL thats a great name for a Matt Good Greatest Hits album. nice job Matt.

...Beautiful Midnight. This was back when the CD first came out. I guess the record company sent these stickers to HMV (and other stores?) as promos when the album was released. Did anyone else get one of these stickers? Actually, the HMV guy gave me 2 of them. They look like this (but its a sticker, not a patch):

Well, check out this page: http://www.druglibrary.org/prohibitionresults.htm Lots of different evidence here from the days of prohibition. I can't really find if prohibition increased or decreased alcohol consumption. But it shows that the average age of kids first using alcohol lowered during prohibition, so does that mean if pot is legalized the average age of 1st-time pot-smokers would rise? Also, about Holland, how does pot-use in Holland compare to other closely neighbouring countries where pot is illegal? comparing to North America is difficult because they 2 much seperate areas/societies. I dunno. How about we just criminalize alcohol and legalize pot. Pot seems to be much safer, though i don't use either.

My Idea For The Best Movie Ever.
Moonlight_Graham replied to Moonlight_Graham's topic in The Silver Screen
no, but there will definately be some graphic nudity and sex scenes...except for the 3 Ninja's getting ass-raped, we won't see that (i know, its unfortunate). -
What do you think about this? Were you even aware of this? Yes, its legal for a 40-year old man to have sex with a 14 year old girl (or boy) in Canada. Hetero or homosexual sex, it doesn't matter, its all fully legal. Personally i think its disgusting. Canada must be a pedaphiles' wet dream. This law should be changed, preferably to age 18 as it is in the U.S. Or AT LEAST to 16. 14? We aren't living in the 12th century people. If i were a parent, this would anger me.

i'm not saying pot & alcohol does the same or is the same, but i think it can be dangerous at times when people are high on pot and driving. It should be regulated similar to how drinking-and-driving is regulated. Maybe there should be some blood-pot level testing or something (if thats even possible LOL) like there is blood-alcohol testing. I'm quite certain there are no laws that punish a person for driving high (high enough to impair judgement etc.) other than just the legal ramifications of getting caught with pot. I don't want a drunk driving beside me, and i don't someone high on pot driving beside me. Also, i totally believe that pot usage would rise if legalized. I really have no doubt. Its not like its going to decrease. Pot would be much more accessible and would become more socially acceptable.

You're all probably right, i'm not looking hard enough. But i guess thats sorta my point. In my last sentence, i said "DAMN YOU RECORD COMPANIES!". So i know good music is out there, but most people just don't hear it because the record companies don't sign them and/romote them. And most radio/TV doesn't play them. And Sedated, you are right, i'm a bit older (24) so i'm not as much into the mainstream stuff. But hell i'm not an old fogey, and i wasn't into most of the mainstream crap when i was 17 either. All of this just sucks because i don't want to have to work my ass off just to find some good new music.

Since around the time Rock n' Roll was invented, right now, at this very moment, is the worst time for music. It just sucks ass. Pop music is all horrible hip-hop and R&B Beyonce & Usher & Linsey Lohan crap. Even those who like pop garbage have their idols like Backstreet Boys, N'Synch, & Britney Spears in a lull. Now what about rock music? Wait, there IS no rock music anymore! Well, its almost non-existent at least. You've got a few old stand-bys like Red Hot Chilli Peppers & U2 that still are good, but great bands like AC/DC, Metallica, & REM etc. are past their prime. And how many good rock bands have sprung up in the past 5 years or so? Sum 41, maybe the White Stripes & The Strokes etc. And you've got Linkin Park & Good Charlotte if you like that stuff (meh). And anytime a good band pops up, music companies flood the airwaves w/ 5 more clones that sound exactly like them (remember Knickleback & clones?). Music also has some good alternative acts like Radiohead & Bjork, but they've been around for many years. My point: Almost all the good musical acts now were still around 5 years ago, and were just as good or better than they are now. Barely any good music is popping up, and you can hardly find any good music on MuchMusic/radio. This has been the trend for many years. Music is so bad that when i'm downloading MP3's, i have to go find bands/acts from the 60's/70's/80's etc to find any good music i haven't heard before. MUSIC SUCKS. DAMN YOU RECORD COMPANIES!

My Idea For The Best Movie Ever.
Moonlight_Graham replied to Moonlight_Graham's topic in The Silver Screen
Those 3 ninja kids will make a guest appearence in my movie. Ninja Doug will kick their asses for being losers, then the kids will get ass-raped by Doug's creepy uncle. -
did i spell that right? Anyways, anyone see this flick? This movie is mind-boggling. Is it the best thing ever, or the worst movie ever? To describe this flick, its like the watching the "Power Rangers" on steroids...playing soccer. Its so laughibly cheesy & corny, but are the filmmakers doing that on purpose? Its a good movie if you want a laugh & and some over-the-top kung-fu soccer action.

don't the read the newspapers i take it?

There are grow-ops everywhere. Last summer the cops busted a huge operation in a nearby suburb area where i live. It was a nice neighbourhood too. These druglords just bought a whole bunch of houses and grew marijuana in them. Nobody lived in them. Anyways, not in favor of legalizing marijuana. I don't smoke it, and i don't want to smell this shit wherever i go. It stinks worse than cigarettes. In fact, there should be more police action to stop people from "smoking and driving". That can be just as dangerous as drinking & driving.
