RIP Rich, Sad that both MGB bassist are no longer with us anymore ? Really loved Rich's style and live presence. Prayers for his friends and family.

It also gives him a chance to live rehearse for the winter tour. I'd love for him to do these weekly or every other week. Could hear some rarities also!

is this different than the live from home show he is doing July 17th at 9pm EST

I would ask him of any road stories he could share. I am sure he has a ton of fun road stories. Maybe favorite places to play, any memorable live moments.

John, did you attend the live shows during this time period? Do you have any recordings of shows from that era or know of any that may exist?

Rivers Cuomo was doing zoom sessions where he'd play covers and rare songs. He still sort of does them once a week but not at the frequency he was before. Stephen Jenkins from third eye blind was doing something like that as well. Surprised more artists aren't to be honest.

I am not a big CNN or Fox News guy. Last night I was glued to my TV. Seeing the protests and the burning of Minnesota was eye opening. The police in Minneopolis did nothing while people burned the municipal building. I woke up today to see 4 CNN reporters arrested live on TV. They were not told why they were being arrested nor were they read their rights (from what I could see). Add this to the Corona Virus and it really is a sad state of affairs here in America. I have never been more ashamed of the country I live in than I am right now.. President Trump tweeting out that looting will mean shooting is the icing on the cake. I really envy all of you currently living in Canada and hope that everyone is doing well. 2020 has been a wild ride and it's not even halfway over.

My county in the US was moved to the yellow face yesterday. Basically meaning some retail shops were allowed to open and gatherings of 25 or less are allowed. Naturally a bunch of people were out acting like idiots. Hopefully the virus is contained or at least most of life is back to normal by fall.

this is going to be a tricky one. Plan on doing Buffalo but the weather in Buffalo in November could be good or it could be miserable. Last couple of years I have had good weather where I live but I drive past the snow belt to get to Buffalo. Hopefully the world is in a better place and the border restrictions are lifted by then.

I have a feeling those aren't on youtube for a reason though. Curious since they can be purchased officially on the In A Coma set if Matt wants them online for free. It's strange that only a couple videos aren't online and when they are they seem to be taken down.

aren't the video's on his double cd/DVD? I am 99% sure they are. I would buy the album from Amazon or Matt's site (if it's there) as it would be the best form of the video. A fan could post a copy of the either video but who knows how good the quality would be.

I didn't know him well but he messaged me and thanked me for my contributions to the site. He felt bad he couldn't share his video with me and told me if I'm ever in Canada he would love to have me come up and see it. I was floored by his generosity and saddened that I won't have the chance to meet him. I read his obituary and he looked like a great guy that left us far too soon. RIP Travis

Matt made mention online about how Spotify's tip jar isn't really beneficial to the artists. I've always been leery of things that don't go directly to the artist. Social Media is funny because now I see a ton of females starting these "only fans" sites where they are making money. What about the guys that are struggling though? Unless you buy directly from them how much $$ do they really see? You have to figure people are running websites and they get a cut, how much of that $25 shirt plus shipping does Matt really see? One of the reasons why touring has always been the true bread and butter for artists I imagine

I'd help any way I could. I saw Matt was giving away a ton of Football kits on Instagram. Matt has a heart of gold and really seems to care about his die hard fans and just people in general. Anything we can do count me in.

So I am home for the time being and figured maybe many of you are as well. I am going to try and cheer the bored up by throwing out a ton of live MG/MGB shows over in the + section of this site. I will be popping up a handful of shows each night for the next week or 2 maybe longer. If either Matt or Anton have an issue please let me know, otherwise be prepared for a primetime deliverance of live MG starting tonight!!!
