Did anyone attend any of the recent shows? I saw some clips on Youtube and thought Matt sounded great. The setlist looks good too.

With all due respect Scott, I find it hard to believe you haven't heard about the merch situation considering if you have posted in the very reddit thread how you designed the original artwork and then it was changed. If you didn't want to tell people the song you probably shouldn't have mentioned you know what it is. Otherwise it sounds like you are coming off as a dick which from what I know of you you aren't. the song title is actually in Scott's post if you look at the first and last word

It should be named to at least give people closure. Full disclosure, I didn't attend any of the shows as I am in the US but I'd planned on going to multiple shows here before getting the cancelled notice and feel for the people who didn't receive what they were promised. I also saw the reddit and people aren't happy as they didn't receive the album, and the one guy who did receive his was missing the lyric sheets and the track by track notes by Matt that were promised to those who purchased the limit edition version.

I'd heard some of the artists pulled out last minute. If that's the case maybe it would have been better off not to release this as an album but as an online collection of songs. I have no clue what Matt's next plan is but I'd love for him to hit us with another full on rock album, throw in 1-2 ballads. I know he still has it in him and I refuse to believe he doesn't. Am I mad he didn't play the US shows? Yes, but I'm still a fan of the music he's given us and think a return to his roots could be what he needs.

I just don't get it, whoever the new label is really isn't doing Matt any favors. We would hear a new song every week or 2 and now nothing, no album date, no big news on his official site (last I checked). You shouldn't need to pay an artist to get this basic information, especially when the majority of his have been here supporting him for decades. I will stand by the fact that had his shows been promoted better in the States he would have sold more tickets. 0 radio play, 0 advertisements, what do they expect to happen? I will however say, that the Crafthouse gets a lot of patrons that show up day of show to have dinner/drinks and see the concerts, so he could have had a decent crowd. It's just a shame how things have unfolded.

Hey Charlie, I was also at the Mr. Smalls and Club Cafe shows. I don't know that there were 50 at the Club Cafe. I was sitting 3 ft from him and it was the closest I'l ever get to an artist I like. I was also up front at the Mr. Smalls full band show. I also had a feeling something would happen to cancel the shows as again 0 advertising was done. Hell, I have over 15,000 LinkedIn followers and would have gotten the word out there and sold more tickets than his merch team did. If this is the doing/decisions of his label then they are failing him in a big way. Also Charlie and anyone in Pittsburgh, go see Ballyhoo! play at the Thunderbird in September. They put on an amazing show

I feel like there could be something done for the people in the US who purchased tickets. Whether it be a live stream from one of the Canadian shows, or another garage type show that could be live streamed, maybe add a Q and A to it? Something.

it's not a good sign that the official website still shows Pittsburgh and Buffalo as happening. Again, this is not on Matt but whoever his label/company are they are dropping the ball. Pittsburgh had 0 advertisement. I live 5 mins from the venue and had I not seen an ad on social media I never would have known. I feel like with a dedicated street team he would have sold far more tickets.

was gutted to find this out Friday. Had been looking forward to this show since the day tickets went on sale. I understand Matt's political views but not all of us in the US are supporting what Trump is doing. I also wish the shows would have been cancelled longer than 4-5 days before show date. I'l always be a fan but this one hurts.

There was an AMA last night. Also a tour coming up. Anyone going to the Pittsburgh show? Seeing him less than 10 minutes from my house is a dream come true!

The Brandon setlist looks amazing. Boy and his Machine Gun, Born to Kill, Tripoli, Guns of Carolina!! Take my fucking money and take your flowers you magnificent bastard!! My only complaint is he played the only 2 songs of his I always skip (Born Losers and Alert Status Red) Sub in Police Cars and Strange Days and it's a dream set.

I admire what you do for work but wanted to share some stories with you. Years ago I missed out on seeing the Hip. Sure I've seen them before but turns out it was the final time Gord had played in the US and now sadly he is gone. Chances are you won't remember what you did at work on April 14th 2024. But you would regret not seeing Matt. If you have the ability to take PTO or a sick day I totally reccomend it. You only live once and you may not even be working the same job in 5 years but you would remember not seeing this show.

I am almost positive he played Guns of Carolina during the Arrows tour or at one of the winery shows he did. I am also certain he's played symbolistic since 2003 in fact he played it at an acoustic show I was at. Rarities and great to hear none the less.

The tour starts tonight! Is anyone going? Anyone taping? Matt had a cool post with some of the songs he plans on playing. Looks like fun.

Not sure if Canada has Hot Topic or not but Hot Topic usually has them here in the US. Some of our department stores do also.

I would love to see another straight up rock album like Arrows of Desire. Have 11 solid rock songs and throw in 1-2 epic balads similar to Guns of Carolina and you have Matt's big comeback album. Follow it with a full band tour and boom it's a formula for success.
