  1. Oh how people are getting me pretty anxious to hear this album, but I've waited this long to listen and hope to be able to purchase the CD as close to release date as possible. Will be great to pop in a Matthew Good CD mostly unheard not knowing what to expect again.
  2. Record is streaming on Deezer.com and http://music.cbc.ca/#/artists/Matthew-Good on Tuesday.
  3. The tracks on Amazon.com no longer show feat. Yes.
  4. 7Digital also has Darlin'.
  5. The version of the single on Soundcloud and studio version I bought from 7digital sounds better than the quality on the Amazon samples so I think the official release should sound fine.
  6. Interesting. Strange that they/he'd put it out with inaccurate lyrics. I like that the video goes with the lyrics but I also actually quite like the other video.
  7. I probably wouldn't find it hard to resist if I had only heard the single but I listened to Guns of Carolina sample only because I've heard it in some form and I really like the sound of that one. I especially want to hear as little as possible of this album before I can hear the whole thing because it will be very refreshing after having heard most or all of the last 2 albums in demo form beforehand.
  8. It's going to be hard to resist these samples but I will try.
  9. I decided to listen to the Guns of Carolina sample since I heard live acoustic versions of it and I must say it has got me pretty excited for this album. I really love the intro music part of the sample. It sounds different for Matthew Good in a very good way (no pun intended). It reminds me of something and the closest I can figure is something Buckethead has written. Also I'm thinking it has kind of a nostalgic sound, possibly why I like it so much. It seems like this might be an album with quite a variety of sounds and I am getting excited.
  10. Well those weren't up when I posted the artwork. I think I want to try not listening to them. Interesting that there's samples already. And who's Yes? Every track features it apparently.
  11. This is on Amazon.com. The whole name and title shows up here and the colour of the album title is different to the one on the Soundcloud page.
  12. Oh heck yes. I love Iron and Stone. A320 is really good too.
  13. I've started to enjoy and appreciate Echoes more and more over the years. Long Road doesn't sit quite right with me but it's still a decent song. Echoes is easily better than Wasting Light. WL doesn't sound like a return to their old sound, apart from White Limo of course. It sounds like they're trying to sound more old rock like 70's and 80's, an era of rock I never got the fuss about and hated for the shrill/shrieky vocals. They are sounding more generic/more mainstream rock radio and bland now. I also don't like the increasing screaming or shouting almost every note. In moderation Dave, in moderation.
  14. ISTJ Introvert(78%) Sensing(38%) Thinking(25%) Judging(11%) You have strong preference of Introversion over Extraversion (78%) You have moderate preference of Sensing over Intuition (38%) You have moderate preference of Thinking over Feeling (25%) You have slight preference of Judging over Perceiving (11%) I think this is pretty accurate. I think I might be slightly less Introvert than 78 but it might be really close.
  15. Yeah I'd say. That "review" was stupid.
  16. Correct me if I'm wrong, but people around here don't have the version of All Together that was released on iTunes, do they? Edit: Oh whoops, people are aware of the 7Digital release of the In A Coma version of All Together? How did I manage to miss this? You can delete this thread if you like.
  17. Rip off. It's not just similar, it's nearly identical.
  18. Suburbia with full band would be awesome.
  19. Have you guys seen the video page for Had it Coming lately? The views have supposedly skyrocketed from under 10,000 views to over 200,000 in a very short time. One of the comments says American and international releases of the song became available, but I find it very surprising if it jumped that much in that short of a time span. There must be some mistake, or not? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_S-Ajjk0PQ
  20. That's some solid audio quality and a good performance. Thanks again Gomo!
  21. I just downloaded it, will try and listen to it soon. Thanks a bunch Gomo, it's mighty white of ya! There's some real nice choices in there. Great to see Truffle Pigs being played, it's one of my favourites. Is this full band?
  22. The solo in Had It Coming reminds me a lot of the guitar part in the middle of Great Whales of the Sea.
  23. Gomo, have you not listened to the single? By the way, that's awesome that you post on here Mr. Good. Thanks a lot that you take the time and effort out to post on silly forums. It's very interesting to hear it from you about your songs and lyrics. My immediate first impression was that this song would be more negative, based on the title. After reading that it's positive I think it makes me enjoy the song more.
  24. This album is gonna be sweet! It's got Chino from Deftones and three members from Isis. It's chill, atmospheric music. Here an album trailer.
  25. The single makes me think White Light Rock & Roll Review mixed with Vancouver. And some Coming Out in Purple. joeposh: Wasn't there live drumming done on the last couple albums as well? I thought Blake or someone had played the drums when the albums were recorded?
