Covers

That song is a perfect example of why cover songs usually suck ass!! Much like me singing it in kareoke, Limpbizkit butcher it! I have heard a couple good covers in my life though. Foo Fighters "Baker Street" Jimi Hendrix "All Along the Watchtower" Pearl Jam "Rockin in the Free World" (only live, its not on an album) MGB "Enjoy the Silence" Smashing Pumpkins "Landslide" There might be one or 2 more, but that's good enough. -

Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam -
I remember not liking some of those pre-MGB songs. Part of it had to do with poor sound quality and others that just were plain, not good. Some may find this surprising but one of my least favorite songs by him is "Load Me Up". It's not that i hate it, it's just one of my least favorites for sure! I don't care too much for "Carmelina" either.

I think the title explains it. I saw the video for the 1st time the other day and was surprised to see a girl on drums. Who is it??

That movie was weird. I didn't get into it. Maybe I should watch it again, or maybe i don't want to!?!? I'm not sure which.

Damn. I'm feeling old and i'm only 22!! I got into MGB in the Underdogs era when Apparitions was everywhere. I bought the cd and i was won over... although it was until Beautiful Midnight came out that i REALLY became a HUGE fan! Beautiful Midnight is still #2 on my best albums of all time list... trailing only Pearl Jam's "Ten".

They've grown up, but their music still sucks. I think one of them still hasn't cut his hair either! Who does he think he is? Chad Kroeger? -

I went with Anit-Pop. It makes me laugh whenever I see it! I could pretty much vote for any of them because Matt always makes solid videos. Like He never gets lazy an does some half assed live one.

I was already a huge fan of MGB at the time Strange Days came out, but it is certainly in my top 10. I even have an old Strange Days t-shirt that i basically wore out because i wore it so much!!

I've heard really good things about them but I don't know much about them. Is the album good?? What style of music do they play? Is there a band you could compare them to? -

I've never really got the Beatles. I've got no beef with them but I love other classic rock bands WAY more! Led Zeppelin, The Who, Hendrix. Although i do really like the Beatles "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" -

Dave Genn was in Holly McNarland's band a couple years ago. He might be still, but don't quote me on it. It was funny when i found out because i was at a concert of her's and all of a sudden i relized who was up on stage! I didn't recognize him for a while because he had quite long hair.

"My Life as a Circus Clown" Matt Good -
That was a good listen. It was nice to hear him in a different interview mode, where he wasn't just talking about his new album and music, etc. Thanks for posting that link.

And he hasn't announced any shows for up north either. I'm hoping he'll come to Prince George.

There are 3 different versions of that part of the Beautiful Midnight cd. The other 2 are "Missing(Your Picture Here)" or "Hello Time Bomb". Mine has the "Some things are better said w/ the lights out." I love that line!

your cd case

I'd have to be REALLY bored to type out all my cd's! ;) My cd binder changes quite a bit because it only fits 96 and my collection is getting close to 300. I will say that the band that takes up the most space is Pearl Jam with Matt Good and Led Zeppelin not too far behind.
