  1. I loved this movie. It wasn't what I was expecting exactly, but it was perfect. I laughed so hard at the end. So did everyone else in the theater, actually.
  2. You mean, how would one acheive it on Photoshop or something?
  3. I don't really know a lot of their music, but that "Out of My Head" song sure gets stuck in my head a lot. Annoying. ;)
  4. I love The Format. Some of their lyrics are kind of... emo, but the music is fantastic. I think Time Bomb is probably the best song on the most recent CD, and The First Single is the best from the first CD. Really good live performers, as well.
  5. Ya, SilentNarcotic (Skott) belongs to this board.
  6. I totally agree with Beth (the other one). I hate it when people think that going out and getting drunk is a good way to "bond." Drunk people annoy me, and I'd like to know them sober before I call them a "friend."
  7. Oh, what would we do without Merle.
  8. Though I agree Raine should not be on that list while Matthew Good should be, I liked his voice on the older albums. After Spiritual Machines, it just got boring and annoying.
  9. I was wondering if I should mention Propagandhi, but I didn't know if they were considered "punk" and I didn't want to get ridiculed because I'm still relatively new here. So, thanks, Scott for listing them. Haha.
  10. Someone sent me an MP3 from them the other day... it's alright. Nothing new, but it's interesting to hear what they would have to offer after everything. It sort of seems like they're trying to make a comeback just as good or better than Angels and Airwaves or something.
  11. That entry completely freaked me out. I didn't want to admit it to myself, but it sounded horrible. I really hope it is just his depression or way of getting his emotions out about what's going on right now. But with the comments-off thing... I don't know. I hope he's alright.
  12. Won't that just want to make people try to sneak it in even more? I don't understand the point of those things.
  13. Dave Grohl perhaps? I'm confused on that one.
  14. Hm, I didn't know there was an album before IOU. Sucks for me being American, I guess. Anyone hear The Stills song Baby Blues? It's sort of like if you took a really good Stills song and a really good Metric song and stuck them together. Emily's vocals on it are really good.
  15. Yes, Dr. Cox's character is fantastic. From the special features on the DVD's my sister has, it looks like most of the funny lines he says on the show he comes up with himself. I think they do a lot of improv on the show.
  16. I saw Little Miss Sunshine yesterday. I loved it, but I'm kind of a sucker for those kind of movies. I liked that Steve Carrell wasn't playing the same character as The Office or 40 Year Old Virgin.
  17. Scrubs is a fantastic show. The more recent seasons are kind of getting on my nerves, but the first few were really good. I think there have been 5 seasons in all. Zach Braff picks out most of the music used in the show. Sort of like he did for Garden State and the new movie he's in. I think he has pretty good taste in music.
  18. I love Metric! I think the first CD is a lot more creative than the second one, but both are fantastic. I'm excited to hear Emily's solo stuff. I'm not sure when it comes out, though...
  19. I guess I'm just cheesy and un-patriotic, but I love that line ;)
  20. I don't completely disagree with you on some points (because I started listening to Matt when he was with the band), but I don't think his best stuff was only with the band. I loved White Light Rock and Roll Review (and Avalanche is probably one of my top picks for Matt's albums in general), and I'm extremely excited to see what Matt comes up with next, no matter what it is. I love "She's in it For the Money," "Boy Comes Home," and a bunch of the newer stuff he has written. When Matt writes on his blog about how his opinion is that this is the best material he's written, I have to agree with him. I don't think Matt needs a band. To look or sound good. Perhaps I'm extremely biased or something, but I don't think Matt's stuff without the band is as bad as some people make it out to be. P.S. What makes you say the lyrics on WLRRR are bland?
  21. Out of those choices, Chris Cornell for sure. Maybe it's because I love Soundgarden more than the bands of the others, but I love Chris Cornell's voice. And I agree with Shiri, I don't like Audioslave, either.
  22. I think it would be over-used. But I would love one of those.
  23. That is the best Our Lady Peace CD. No doubt. But if we're talking lost treasures: The Weakerthans - Fallow The Pixies - Sufer Rosa Aaaand that's all I can think of right now.
  24. Ew. 80's flashback. Anyway. Top Five smilies: 1. ;) (For its sarcasm) 2. (Because I like to laugh at people) 3. (Because I've never used it and want to) 4. (8) (Just because) 5. (It has sunglasses.)
