  1. as a man, your opinion means nothing on the subject.
  2. i heard somewhere or other that women have a more acute sense of smell, and your opinions are the only ones that matter on the subject anyway, so here's a question for the women folk of the bored: can you tell the difference between those cheap-ass body sprays (axe, tag) and an expensive cologne? the first time i actually smelled axe and knew for sure it was axe i was smelling was at work the other night when one of the other dudes was messing around with a bottle of the junk. i said it smelled like ass and he got this sad/hurt look on his face and said that he liked it and wore it.
  3. 4/10 cuz the thread died for 11 days after your post until i got bored and wondered what the hell happened to that rate the avatar thread.
  4. i can't explain (very well) why i like what i like. different reasons for different artists. i don't like any artist unconditionally, anymore. matthew good included. i used to have to have everything by any music group i really liked. for example, i bought every bad religion album that ever came out. now, i only have up to 'stranger than fiction'. if i don't like an album, i don't keep it. i hardly buy anything anymore, so that's irrelevant. i don't like matthew good's first album so i don't have it/listen to it.
  5. 'unknown road' for sure. i don't have any pennywise anymore, but that was definitely their best album. they've been releasing 'about time' over and over ever since. edit: and mrs. jesus...you missed the point. i have gish. i wanted yourcopy. unless you meant 'it's worth rubbing all over your naked body, but i haven't'. if that's what you meant, then nevermind.
  6. Return of the Living Good: The Re-Goodening
  7. huh...i didn't realize there were so many metric threads 'till i went digging for my own (oops..shoulda searched the first time ;) ). anyway, instead of starting a new thread i'll just update the statement i started this one with. i now also like the yeah yeah yeahs after seeing a video the other night for maps (gold lion also sounds familiar after giving it a listen)...so that's two female lead singers in the collection. gynomite!
  8. that is a wicked song.
  9. just saw it. he needs to lay of the tacos. and when did he start playing guitar? anyway...wasn't moved either way by the song. in comparison, i was blown away by the lead-off singles released off the last two albums (i never heard any singles before buying their first two).
  10. guaranteed there's a torrent of the song floating around if you look (isohunt, torrentspy, mininova, thepiratebay, etc.)
  11. why does everyone always praise siamese dream? gish is clearly the only smashing pumpkins album worth rubbing all over your naked body. seriously. i'll trade you any of my remaining cds for your copy of gish. seriously.
  12. "raphael! he's the leader of the group! transformed from the norm by the nuclear goop!" --did anyone else have the soundtrack when they were a kid? ;)
  13. another one i missed: green day-american idiot. amazing album. their second best, dookie, is just okay compared to it.
  14. i wish they'd put them all together into a dvd package. i downloaded them all once, but they were half shit quality and i couldn't stand it.
  15. i only like a couple songs on that. i love the electric half of in your honor. not real big on dave grohl unplugged.
  16. just skimmed my collection for more: offspring-iginition, buffalo tom-big red letter day, cake-fashion nugget, deftones-around the fur, slipknot- vol. 3 (the subliminal verses), stone temple pilots-purple.
  17. i try not to buy cds anymore. i sold my whole cd collection on ebay as one lot last year and since then i just download whatever i can. i did buy three last week, though: vivaldi's four seasons, antonin dvoraks 9th symphony, and gustav mahler's 9th symphony. classical music is hard to find online, so i was left with no other choice.
  18. agreed. and i know this answer might not be popular, but i'm gonna say lateralus by tool. i think tool play some awesome stuff, and every tool album has wicked songs on it, but this is the only one i will listen to from beginning to end without skipping tracks i don't care for, like that 'devilled eggs' one on aenema, and similar 'look how creative i am' tracks.
  19. i like anti-pop. i think pony boy sucks. opinions are like assholes...
  20. anything with cavemen is an instant classic: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tqn99ppnPFw...related&search= http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZrjr4A-ASQ hopefully the sound works for everyone else on those links, cuz it ain't workin for me today ;)
  21. nah, i was 99% sure you meant what you meant. i've just got a bug up my ass about all the formerly cool bands that reunite under the same name with essential members missing (dead kennedys, misfits, alice in chains), even though i really shouldn't care.
  22. i'm not sure that stripped down, old school rock is exactly rare, at the moment. bands like jet, the vines, the strokes and the like have been playing that card for the last few years (not that it's a bad card to play, mind you).
  23. dead kennedys with jello biafra=awesome. the current dead kennedys with fuck knows who doing the vocals=no thanks. sorry, east bay ray, but it's time to let go.
  24. points awarded for using that word ;)
