i saw a guy on the news today locally who bought a few and sold them. said he paid his university tuition for the year doing it.

;) what model? and did you play it first? i had a horrible experience with washburn. bought an acoustic (wd118sw) online, brand new, impulse buy and it was a total lemon. solid top acoustic and it had the flattest, most lifeless sound ever. had the nut and saddle upgraded to bone to rectify the situation and put on heavier strings and it still sounded like ass. ended up selling it to some noob for about 2/3 what i paid, less the nut/saddle upgrade expenses. Fuuuuck, seriously? Yeah, I did the same thing. Bought it brand new online. Mainly because I'm left handed and I can't find shit locally. And stringing upside down blows. I did check out some reviews for the guitar though before buying, everything seemed treally positive. I got the Washburn D46SCE. best of luck. washburn have a pretty good rep, so mine was more than likely just a lemon or just a sucky sounding model to begin with. btw, i'm left handed too, but i play right. the first time i went shopping for guitars, i was at halifax folklore and mentioned that i was left handed to the guy helping me out and he said "have you ever seen a left handed piano?" i thought that was a good point.

i give the simpsons credit for still being funny at all after so many years. best thing they ever did was shift the focus away from bart ("don't have a cow, man" ;) ) and onto homer.

i agree that futurama was funny, but it was not funnier than south park or family guy (on a good night). it was as funny as the simpsons.

i hope the wii kicks ass, just cuz i like to root for the underdog. i haven't been impressed with the 360 yet. i keep thinking that maybe they're withholding all the cool games to coincide with the ps3 being released. i'm done buying consoles anyway. xbox was the last. from now on, i only play what my friends are silly enough to drop coin on ;)

i'm starting to like it a little more, now. i had it stuck in my head for 8 hours at work yesterday. guess it's a grower not a shower. still hope the rest of the album's better. i'm surprised it hasn't leaked yet.

i'd need a top 40 list to look over to know if i like any. i'm sure there's a few, though.

okay...in the existential sense of things, no, no one cheats death. and i checked the paper today. nothing about it, so he must have lived.

on the bus ride to work today, i saw a guy get plowed down by a van. he was waiting at a bus stop on the opposite side of the road to the stop we were stopped at. i was looking right at him when it happened, cuz he had this case with him and i was thinking "i wonder if that's an instrument". he checked his watch, and then BAM!! this van crossed over from behind our bus to the over the other lane, up over the curb and nailed the guy. sent him flying back about 10 to 20 feet. he climbed back to his feet for a second, kinda wobbled, grabbed at his leg and then collapsed. people ran over to help him, etc. the driver and passenger got out of the van, slowly, which had slammed into a retaining wall. the passenger just kinda stood around, but the driver started walking away behind an appartment building. one of the crowd hunted his ass down and dragged him back to wait for the police and they threw him in cuffs. that's all i saw, as a new bus driver showed up and we were on our way (the original driver had to stay as a witness). i think the guy lived. i heard someone say he was mostly okay. i'll check the paper tomorrow to be sure. if he is alive...he cheated death by a few inches. if the van hadn't thrown him off to the side and instead slammed him into the wall with the van...lights out for sure. i'm guessing the driver was tanked to have pulled a manouver like that. should cut his fucking thumbs of if he was. try drinking or driving without thumbs, douche. man...it was fucking surreal. craziest thing i've seen in years. threw him like a ragdoll.

my latest bad habit is putting my legs up, resting my left foot (always the left for some reason) on the handle of my dresser thingy with my keyboard on my lap when i use my comp. this is a bad habit because i've developed a callous on the back of my left heal and loosened the handle from having the weight of my legs on it.

i had a double wake up last night. i dreamed that some force...i don't know what else to call it...was smothering me in my bed and i couldn't move. totally paralysed. i woke up in a panic from that and went to the bathroom to get a drink of water and get my head together. then i woke up for real. i haven't had a dream like that in a long time. i had dreams a few times before, years ago, where the presence i felt didn't smother me...it was just this really loud noise with no sound (strange, i know, but the only way to describe it) and then i'd wake up, terrified, feeling like there was something in my room. the mind sure can play tricks on itself.

just watched layer cake. wicked movie, starring the new james bond guy, the guy that played o'brien on star trek and a few other faces i recognized.

don't think i've ever had red wine. i like white wine, though, as long as it's not too dry.

these are all 'favorite' singers, aren't they (even mine)? i mean...wouldn't virtuosos be like opera singers er something? people with technical mastery, not just a perdy singing voice.

i just saw borat, even though i said i wouldn't (my friends wanted to go and i can't stay locked up like a hermit all the time). anyway, it sucked ass, and it was only an hour long so even if i had liked it i would have felt ripped off by the short length. i laughed at the naked man fight. that had good shockutainment value. the rest was boring. i really don't get the hype with this guy.
