Matt Good Should Just Make An Album On A 4 Track
Some Random replied to LordBimbly's topic in Matthew Good
oops... "4trackaganza" was on a four track. "raw" was on one of those little person 'note to self' voice recorders. -
the meow game was awesome. crumbelievable, if you will.
-
i give that album alot of credit. it's an amazing rock album and the only 'rock opera' i like (the who's "tommy" and pink floyd's "the wall" included (with the exception of comfortably numb which is pure awesomeness)). i'm comfortable being in the minority with this opinion.

come on, meow...40 year old virgin has nothing on super troopers. meow stop saying otherwise.
-
the navigator is the same deal, just an expedition with different trim, grill, etc. i also really dug the gmc envoy for comfort. never drove any armada's, though they are aptly named...fucking ginormous.

i was thinking pretty much that same thing on the bus ride home from work last night. -
they were hit or miss. some really awesome skits ("how to survive a bear attack") and some totally stupid stuff too.

vehicles? automobiles? motor carriage? dude, i'm getting an SUV because i'm gonna have kids, i dont want puke on my leather, and i want them to be safe, with lots of room. at least i'm not buying a fucking suburban or something That was more to Ryan than you. I'm a car enthusiast but I know jack shit about SUV's because, well, what's there to be enthused about them? SUV's are for people who refuse to surrender to the title of soccer mom/dad by buying a minivan. wait until you get a opportunity to test drive a grand cherokee srt8. you (the general 'you' not you specifically) could get the kids to soccer practice in record time in one of those. i got to drive alot of different shit at my last job (rental car place..so no srt8s). my favorite suv for luxury was the aviator. the navigator was just too monstrous and the aviator had all the same goodies, anyway. for sheer fun value (in the snow and such) the 4runner was good for shits and giggles.

Matt Good Should Just Make An Album On A 4 Track
Some Random replied to LordBimbly's topic in Matthew Good
chris murray does that ("4-trackaganza", "raw"). it's bearable with just vocals and an acoustic, but whenever i listen to it, i think that i'd like to hear the songs polished off. -
my stuff's not a 'face slapper' either,(hugo, by hugo boss). i never used to wear cologne, but my friend had this stuff and i liked it so much that i straight up copped his style.

;) if they ruin super troopers for me with a shitty sequel...this will be my expression:

how about "read between the lines" with a picture of his index, middle and ring fingers extended skyward as the cover art.
-
louis black dave chapelle dennis leary was awesome. i don't know if he still does stand up, though.

i live in the city of lakes. and "st. georges lane" (another one of his songs) is a stones throw from my place. it's kinda cool hearing references to places you know on the radio instead of them being obscure and foreign. same applies to joel plaskett: "Walked home across the bridge when the Marquee shut down". first time i heard that on the radio i was like 'fuck yeah...i've done that!' -

i felt like i cheated when i only read the beginning of that and the congradulations part, so i went back and read all of it. i'd just like to address what you said about lyrical content. if someone doesn't like the mars volta (or any band) because they think their lyrics are jibberish, that's every bit as valid a point as you saying lyrics should be the icing on the cake. both are statements of personal taste and opinion. -
just watched nacho libre. it sucked ass.

3/10 for being all blurry.

Should Canada Be In Afghanistan?
Some Random replied to Moonlight_Graham's topic in Politics and Debate: WRONG!
i am admittedly uninformed, but considering the trouble the russians had in afghanistan, i don't know what the hell 2,000 canadian troops are supposed to accomplish (though the u.s. was backing the taliban back then, as i understand it). -
New Incubus!
Some Random replied to Blender's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
saw the video for it last night. i like it, but i hope the rest of the album is better, cuz i don't love it. -
good call. i'm not sure either. when i wear it, i use two spritzes from a spray bottle thingy. but how many spritzes is too many spritzes? i like that word....spritzes.

i'll buy that people can't tell the difference between cheap and expensive stuff. i guess that makes sense. it would either register as good or bad smelling. but as for not liking either on guys...really? a guy has never walked by you in a crowd, and whatever he was wearing for a scent slapped you in the face (in a good way) and maybe raised your pulse a little and made you think "damn, he smelled good!"? cuz it happens to me with women from time to time. the opposite also happens, though (i.e. "damn, she smelled bad!").
-
but do you see barcodes of my birthday all day at work? and 5/10 for yours cuz that guy has been threatening to hit himself with that hammer for months now and, honestly, i don't believe that he will.

it's funny 'strange' and funny 'haha' at the same time.
