  1. touché... But there are always inappropriate ways of approaching a situation, this is one. Peace
  2. I can't understand why you would call Matt... I mean, didn't he establish in one of the posts he made here that he thinks your creepy? Just seems weird you would call him. You know that phoning somebody can be considered harassment... Peace
  3. Tada! and a link to the Searching 101 thread: http://www.nearfantastica.com/bored/index.php?showtopic=2221 Peace
  4. Have we considered that maybe Matt wasn't invited? I mean maybe they where all to busy scrambling to book Avirl, and all the rest of the spotlight whores. Just a though. Peace
  5. I still don't have a clear idea of what actually happened. Peace
  6. Wow... that's a neat post... Peace
  7. I believe what he said was that people should need incentive to donate money. Peace
  8. I think we'd be a little self centered to think that the songs are about the fan community. I think that Agoraphobe is about something deeper than a stab at the fan base that seems to sit at their computers posting on message boards. Peace
  9. I've been a Mod since Jan 4th. I didn't make a bid deal about it, since I didn't want people to change the way they act when talking to me. Peace
  10. It's intellectual property. The law is really weird about it. Peace
  11. rmak: Live. I've heard 1) the album version, 2) the version from the beginning of the iraq war (the one with the Dixie Chicks reference) 3) the one of the most recent tour (the "We did not authorize this") Peace
  12. ;) That is an achievement of everybody: "By our powers combine!" we set a new bored record. Congratulations everybody. Peace
  13. The question is really in how you interpret a lot of the song. "Prime Time Deliverance" is a good example, it is politically charged if you interpret it that way. The new Album is more charged than any other he has produced. "North American for Life" all though maybe not his best work, is certainly very direct in what it's about "George is teaching the kids to fight". Ex-pats is also fairly direct "Bombs away, over our houses, when they could have been, should have been doves". Of course leaving out the obvious "Alert Status Red". If it's an option, I would say "21st Century Living" is certainly the most political song. I've heard three different versions of the song, and all of them are very political. I say if it's an option, since it's not so much a song, it's more of a rant. Peace
  14. Ockham It's Ockham. Your Welcome just razzing you. Peace
  15. Not a chance... me no english good at. Peace
  16. it means: When it rains it pours. It's an expression. It just means that nothing ever happens only a little, but always a lot. Hence it never just rains, it always pours. British origin Peace
  17. Please follow saturnine's link. Peace locky locky
  18. Edgefest 99 Wheatland A The Cooler Wheatland A Wheatland A I don't know the dates... Peace
  19. I have both ;) Peace
  20. Help is Matt, since Help confirmed his account with an official matthewgood.net email address. At least Anton tells me as much. If you check Help's post history, it is fairly evident that he is who he claims to be. I'm not sure if it's relevant though. It's not like he is demanding additional respect because of who he is. Peace
  21. I find it disappointing that people feel they have to argue with you, or threaten you. You are entitled to your opinion. Your opinions are almost always backed with a source. I wish that it was possible for you to not only be a public figure, but also to be able to live a somewhat normal life. I don't think anybody on this bored could possibly relate to the kind of public pressure you get. Peace
  22. ;) I'm not going to continue the debate on world hunger. I believe I made that as a side comment. If you want to debate it, then start another thread. Peace
  23. I don't remember ever hearing Matt on the radio. I heard the group the first time when my buddy played "Everything is Automatic" off his copy of underdogs. I wasn't that impressed at the time. A few weeks later I borrowed the CD from another friend (it kind of a weird set of events). I was hooked after the first few tracks. I think "Deep Six" really sold me. After that I bought the CD, and BM when it came out. I don't remember when I got LOTGA. I do remember becoming really interested in the band after I started to read the Manifestos. Peace
  24. let me look... ... ... yeah, I got it. Peace
