Matt just put up an awesome post that explains how he tracks out his demos. (FYI Apple rules). Anyway it is complete with 3 demos, I think they have been posted before, but get on it!.

I don't remember, but you should get an edit button... if you ever want a post removed edit it to read "Please delete" then the garbage collector can more easily identify it. Contrary to popular belief we're not in the business of deleting posts... most of the time we let them ride. *edit* I just saw what you where talking about. That will work too I guess...

I gave it another try, I watched to the end. I did laugh, BUT, only at the utter stupidity of the sketch, and not at the so called jokes. That said, to each their own. Carry on.

I'm sure it's funny... I just can't get into it. I enjoy the idea of spreading the laugher. I hope that others find it has funny.

It is not 'against' the rules per-say. However requests and mp3 uploads are only allowed in the NF Lounge... so sadly you will have to wait a little while until you can access that forum.

They pulled the Cash version of hurt from YouTube. I think I might take a day trip to Marin County... it's just north of me.

The more I think about this thread the more weird I find it... I find that most of Matt's music is a little to pointed for setting the mode. Sure you've got some great music for that context, but if you actually think about the lyrics, almost nothing is appropriate.

I bought it last night because I finally got my US credit card, so I could get it from the iTunes USA store and get both sides. I listened, I enjoyed.

I'll get right on it... just for you. But I would prefer to be in QA for that one ;)

I'm looking forward to it... I'm saddened that I might never get to see a concert again. I moved south, and I missed the last full band concert because I had a flight delay.

The part of me that enjoyed English class wants to say there is more to it than that. I would say it is more likely about post traumatic stress syndrome. Hence the lines "Made a mess out of me", and "I can recall breathing easy". I'm sure there is a lot more to it. There is a subtle social commentary in "we all need a place to go\ Where we're not known" as well as the obvious "selling of some freedom that was never free". Peace

Technically they are not bright, they are desaturated. If you really don't like it, go to: System Preferences, Appearance, Highlight Colour (They are all quite desaturated, so choose "Other" pick a nice dark windows style colour), and they you have it, you can read spoiler tags. Alternately, if Anton can make it so that the txt itself is closer to black, then you we would get sufficient contrast ;)

The slight is really good... I can tell you when the switch in, and when the switch out happens, but I can't actually see them. Which is kind of like a none answer...

On a per state basis. My comment was more aimed at the prevalent trend of red states and blue states. If you are a voting american in California or Texas and you want to vote republican or democrat, respectively, then by the virtue of the fact that your state on a whole will vote the other way, then all of the electoral votes will go against you. It is a broken system. Just as Canada's first past the post (Single Member Plurality) system is broken. If I vote for a candidate other than one of the leading candidates, then my vote is wasted... especially if I want to prevent the conservatives from getting power, but choose the nearest second wrong. We can hardly argue that the popular vote ultimately decides an election, since there have been four presidents that have won the electoral collage, but lost the electoral vote. I realize that in the grand running of things that's only 1/10 of the time, but still reflects a discrepancy. Though I have no official credentials, my opinion is that the Electoral Collage exists from a time when it was believed that the population at large lacked the intelligence to vote responsibly. Therefor the electoral collage protects the system from the pollution of the people, by appointing the rich and well educated... because they have never had an agenda of there own. Although rare, it is possible for the electors to cast their vote differently that how they said they would. Though I believe this might be illegal in some places (?).

B.S. The electoral collage makes it so that only some votes count.

As we are all aware, there is a Canadian Election coming up October 14th. As an expatriate of Canada (but not disenfranchised). I'm looking for some high quality discussion of what is going on. I have spent the last 2 hours reading the party webpages, and plan to continue till I've waded through most of the BS. I'm not privy to the debate coverage, nor even the highlight reel. Normally I would also factor in my local MP's commitment, whether they actually knock on my door (or send a lackey to do so) tells me a lot about them. I also use the friendly chat to judge whether I think they are completely hapless. So tell me what is going on. I want the stories from the ground. If anybody can give me some local context, I vote in my last location of permeant residence which is Saskatoon-Blackstrap. Thanks All.
