Sorry to disappoint, but despite my vast knowledge, and collection from that era, I cannot identify on one line alone. Actually, I only have 2 songs... which are the B-sides, Pony Boy and All Together. All Together has a piano.

Nf 2008 - New Site Discussion And Bugreports
ToadMan replied to Crusader's topic in Tech Section: A Hard Drive at Risk
Get a friendly neighborhood Canadian to have the packaged shipped to, and then repackage and ship to you. As soon as it becomes personal mail the duties usually get less intense... that's about all I can suggest. Peace -
I have excellent credit, it goes with my excellent debt!. This is what I know (some of this might be wrong, so please don't massacre me if it is. In fact, correct me, because I would like to know). If you have your bank check your credit, then that is actually recorded on your credit history. It's not a bad thing, unless you have a few banks check your credit (if you keep getting checked, but nobody gives you anything, then they wonder why). If you have never missed a payment on a credit card or a loan, these are good things. I know that the Royal Bank can actually tell you if they have ever reported a missed payment to a credit bureau (Royal only does this if you are several weeks late on payments). Cell phone companies tend to be the worst at hurting your credit history. I have heard (no evidence to this effect) that they will report a missed payment if you are days late. I don't doubt this of Rogers, as they are evil. In terms of getting loans and other credit, it can be easier if you get an account manager at your local branch. And if you have been borrowing from that bank a lot. When I wanted to consolidate my student debt and car loan into an unsecured line of credit, this was invaluable. My banker was able to use my history with the bank to get me the best possible interest rate, and the maximum loan. If you are looking to get more credit in the near term, it can be good to have your bank do the check, as then they can keep it on file (I know that the Royal Bank can use a credit check up to 3 months old). If you get it outside, and then go to the bank, they will still check your credit. I believe that transunion, and equifax are required to give you a credit report for free. All you need to do is write to them and request it (you can find this on their website if you dig). The online charge is a connivence thing, so basically a way for them to get money from you. That's all I know. I just moved to the USA to work, so now I have no credit at all ;).

I hardly agree. The changes in our lives rarely cause us to need to develop new habits. I this habit forming allows us to get certain tasks done with minimal effort. Our objection to change would be (in my opinion) the way we notices that things have changed... It gives us a signal to asses the situation. Blind change is also bad.

LOL that is all

Just to nit pick, web pages technically aren't software by the most pure definition... the software exists in the rendering, and the serving. I agree that you can find things by searching... I would also content that the new layout had changed a lot of the user paths... meaning that almost all actions feel new. The obvious repercussion is that people who have been using the site for a while feel slightly taken for a ride. I hate the "Web 2.0" look... and java script generally spells hell when AJAX shits it's pants.

I'll stay here as long as they pay me well... but once the boarder starts to close and the dictatorship becomes more concrete, I'm using that Canadian passport of mine to get out.

That was awesome. Thank you.

To be honest, if I need an MG mix, I just have iTunes cook me up something random. Failing The Rorschach Test In Love With A Bad Idea Alabama Motel Room Symbolistic White Walls Vermilion Life Beyond The Minimum Safe Distance My Out of Style is Comimg Back North American for Life Flight Recorder from Viking 7 The War is Over Carmelina Going All The Way Near Fantastica Apparitions (Acoustic) Indestructible Hello Time Bomb Advertising on Police Cars And that will precisely maximize space on an 80 minute audio CD. Though I'll admit it hardly generates flow between tracks.

Technically, according to the Bush policy, McCain was NOT tortured in the POW camp... Unless it's only torture when it's done to an American. I'm not even going to comment on Palin, but based on how America has previously handled the election process, it won't matter. People vote for parties, generally regardless of who is leading them. FYI I am a Canadian living as an alien in the US now. And I'm damn glad that my passport will get me out of here if the shit hits the fan.

It wasn't that bad. I think this forum is particularly bad to critique him... Needless to say he got booted off the show, so it wasn't well liked by anybody. Apparitions is a risky song on that show as it isn't mainstream. He might have been safer with some slop rock, so I'll give him credit for giving it a whirl.

WTF? that is all I have to say.

Well that's not a very nice thing to say. "To err is human"

For Apple, generally yes. Their prices generally don't track the change in the dollar. Currently the US price is $50 less than the Canadian price. My original statement about financing was meant to imply that a US bank will likely not finance a Canadian citizen. So unless you have US citizenship, odds are you will have to find a Canadian bank to help you out. Even then, most banks require residency. They can't collect from you if you aren't in the country, there is not legal mechanism for that.

Rbc To Give Away "free" Pcs
ToadMan replied to Crusader's topic in Tech Section: A Hard Drive at Risk
Actually the account isn't that bad a deal. It's a fairly good RBC account for those of us who can't get the student account anymore. You don't need a new visa, but they will give you $35 back at the end of the year if you get one. Since I have to switch my accounts, and I would get the multi-product rebate, I might consider it. -
I'm pretty sure you can't get financing even if you cross the border... given that they will need ID, and will therefor know that you are not a US citizen.

If I could sing, or play guitar in a none embarrassing way I would help... I'll see what I can swing.

Step 1) if you are a student at a post secondary institution, it is always a good idea to check out the apple.ca education store. If you are in CS or Engineering, you can get a wicked onetime deal from ADC (ask more if this applies). A number of big name stores deal apple these days. I know futureshop stocks a few models. To get a detailed list check: http://www.apple.com/ca/buy/locator/ A few last points: You might not need new software, some companies ship both mac and windows software in the box. If that doesn't work, you might be able to get away with parallels or office crossover. Not that I condone pirating software, but it's no more difficult on a mac than a PC. It seems dangerous to say this, but I've been running my mac for 5 years, and never needed any anti-virus software... that might have changed now, but I doubt it. And yes, Mac's hold up great... the only component on my laptop that has broken is my optical drive, but it gets a lot of use.

Macs Turning Off

Can't use it if it's macbook. I have a G4 Powerbook... that's why power supplies are hard to come by. I've had it for 5 years and still going strong. You can salvage parts: HD, optical drive. In some cases you can remove the airport card. You generally need a little skill and time to get into the case and remove the parts. Sadly I'm in a different part of the country, or I would offer to do it for you. -
I don't see any reason why French should be outlawed, likewise I see no reason to require it. If the french languages diminishes, then it is unfortunate. Though we should note that the french in quebec isn't really french... I've found that Quebec's approach to preserving it's language borders on being anti-english. It seems like equality between the languages is treated by Quebec people as an affront to french. In context, if a store owner her in my hometown wanted to open a store that conducted business only in french, I wouldn't feel that english was been attacked.

It's probably not as shot as they say it is... BUT, what kind of machine was it, because I would buy your power supply off you if I will be able to use it.
