  1. Pretty nice. My only criticism would be that it doesn't feel like the notes are ringing long enough. There seems to be a whole heck of a lot more notes in what you are playing, so some notes just feel cut short. It could be that your guitar is balanced louder than Matt's is when he plays this... Other than that I enjoyed it.
  2. It's still up for sale... I see that is going REALLY well.
  3. /sigh. This is what I know about our current economic crisis (which I find hard to attribute to socialist tendencies given 8 years of highly right wing policy makers). Subprime mortgages are the result of insurers not being required to have capital funds in the event they have to pay out. What that really means is that banks where handing out mortgages on the idea that house prices will always rise. Banks insure the mortgages against default. When you buy most kinds of insurance the insurer is required to have some funds or assets that will allow them to pay out some percentage of the total amount they are insuring. This doesn't mean that an insurer has to be able to pay out all policies at the same time, but the usual regulation prevent firms from over leveraging. Since this wasn't true in the mortgage industry, firms where in fact leveraged out beyond a safe limit. When people started to default on mortgages the banks claimed on the insurance, since the insurers where over extended, they could actually pay out the claims, which caused the chain reaction. The recession we are seeing is a result of policies put in place to allow banks to make huge amounts of money by loosening the restrictions which kept their lending safe. The massive cash injection isn't actually the cause of the recession. It is contributing to the current state of recession (or the inflation as you have pointed out). However the injection came as an attempt to stabilize a situation that would have run dangerously out of control. As it stands the whole thing didn't go so well anyway. It's pretty late, and I'm not going to seek out supporting evidence for the above. On a side note, if we can keep this to a debate of facts? I'm barely able to tolerate the implication that anybodies opinion is less valid than another. Especially when the high and mighty are just throwing out buzz words and hardly seem to have any real supporting evidence are argument to their claims.
  4. I wasn't confused about what you meant... if it makes you feel better.
  5. You're not credited for anything... except for 'Alabama Motel Room'. Well that's what my 5 minute exploration of my CD jackets indicates.
  6. Well that was highly un called for, and even down right rude. I'm not even going to comment on the non-sense of some of your posts. But I would say that right here you have found the biggest source of MG(B) fanatics around, and generally the response reflects the economy of the situation. As I said, best of luck to you... even though you don't seem to deserve it.
  7. Good luck with that... I see that it is signed, but $300 is out of my MG(B) spending depth.
  8. Ah, the fact we vote for MP's and not PM's... it's the most misunderstood fact about our system. I think there are other issues to the GG's choice... That being that the GG can be forced out by the PM (I believe)... Which is a change from when the GG was selected by the Queen. In many ways the GG serves the house, as much as the house serves the GG. (WARNING: the previous is unqualified, and I haven't dug out the facts to back it up, please don't hang me about it). I appreciate the lively debate, and please continue keeping it as much above board as you can.
  9. Or just put him in a coma, and solve all your problems!
  10. I'm pulling it down now. I'll get back to you.
  11. I think the tenant that "it doesn't come off as libellous" is key there... It can be fairly easy to construe anything a libel... all you need are a couple of inaccuracies.
  12. There is also a BBC radio show, which is also hilarious.
  13. It's terrible... but at least I can get a free Dr. Pepper out of the deal!
  14. I dunno, those ebay links seem pretty legit. Wouldn't be the first strange thing sold on ebay.
  15. hmmm, well I still don't like it.
  16. New rule, please just link. A page full of embedded videos is a bitch to load.
  17. Also to check is that you are strumming the strings straight down and straight up. If you pluck them away, or push them into the guitar, then the motion of the string will hit some of the frets. Also make sure you aren't over playing. I found I got a lot of fret rattle because I play the strings to hard.
  18. Errr. Dude, this is running dangerously close to resurrecting dead threads... I mean the election was over a month ago!
  19. getting music off an iPod, UNPOSSIBLE!
  20. That's the stupidest thing I've heard lately ;) Sorry MJ, had to be done.
  21. Alrighty. I'm letting this slide, but the Rules clearly ask that you don't put requests for files in the regular forum. There is a forum called the "NF Lounge" were this is a little more allowed. However, you have to reach 60 post before you get access to this magical place. I'm sure you can appreciate that we don't want the site coming up on goggle searches for any MG download you might want. Further I'm sure you can appreciate that we don't let people have automatic access to the lounge because then we would get lots of hit an run requests. I'm sure you can contribute enough to the community to get access, and when you do, I'm pretty sure that this request will meet people that can help you out. One further thing, I know that the rule says to PM a staff member. Don't PM me, because I don't generally send out files.
  22. L, I like you, but that is one of the silliest statements I have ever read. Threads don't cost money.
  23. Good. I get impatient when people don't answer my questions. It leaves more time for bullshit solutions to come out.
  24. fixed. Now hurry up and answer my questions!
  25. iTunes would resync the new copies anyway. It uses the time stamp to determine if the track is 'newer' on the computer. I guess it really needs be be determined if the files themselves are corrupted. Do they play in iTunes, do they play in QuickTime, do they play on a different computer.
