-
Really? I've been wrinkling my nose at the trailers for months now :/

James Spader is always strangely hot.

Apparently lots of people hates the transit system here. I've never had a problem with it, but a lot of people have qualms with it. Skytrain runs until about 12:30 to 1:30am, depending on where you're going, and most busses run until about 2:00am, I believe. So I guess that's pretty early... I used to live in Richmond, and went to school in Slurrey and never had a problem with transit during the day, and I'm not a huge all-night party person, so I never really had a problem getting home from downtown at night.

I get Popo sometimes, actually. >.<

On the contrary to what Anton says, I think there is great opportunity here for you, in the graphic design area. I haven't seen your website lately, but as long as you have a degree/certification, and a solid portfolio, I don't think you'd have a problem. Maybe check out Blast Radius, they have locations in Toronto and Vancouver. I know a ton of people who work there, and they couldn't be happier. As for living here...yes, downtown is quite expensive, but you could easily get by living in Richmond or Burnaby.

I am so sick of people calling me Po or making some panda/Jack Black related comment at me ;)

For some reason, I'm getting really bad vibes that this movie is going to suck. I severely hope I'm wrong...

You thought so? When it started playing on House last week, Kevin and I pretty much turned to each other and said "oh know they di'int"

I thought he was pretty standoffish when we met him, but I guess we all always chalk that up to being tired after a show... I hate the pic I have with him, because he looks so unhappy ;)

I've spoken to a few Speed Racer fans who do not approve of this movie. One nitpick I have (amongst the many), is that the Wachoski brothers tried to make it way too flashy and spectacular for what it was. A lot of anime isn't even that flashy and it's all animated ;)

Indy was pretty great. Some nitpicks here and there, but largely, I enjoyed it.

I have a cybershot too, I barely know how to use it, but I love it haha
-
haha that is adorable. EDIT: My music of choice to work out to? Daft Punk.
-
Gavin Rossdale looks like David Boreanaz in the middle picture, and like, a better looking version of the singer from One Republic in the last haha
-
I'm pretty choked that he's going to be doing Suburbia acoustically.

Oh I love him! He's so adorable! He's still got nothing on my Jamie tho haha In honour of Indiana Jones, which I am so freaking stoked for: *sigh* I always wanted to be Short Round XD

Barenaked Ladies Appreciation Thread

Personally, I've had to get used to people very vocally disliking BNL to my face. It's sad, but I can't really do anything to change their opinion. A friend of mine who vehemently dislikes them, simply said to me that he just doesn't like their very distinctive style of singing. It reminds him of commercial jingles. I don't agree with it, but I can sort of see where he's coming from. I tried to change his mind, but it's simply a case of different strokes for different folks, I guess. However, I've also fed him tons of lesser known BNL songs, and he still wouldn't bite. It bugs me a little when people often judge BNL by "One Week" or Million Dollars. I really hate "Another Postcard", because it's such a horrible representation of BNL. Such a cop out song, imo. -
I'm going to say the last thing I watched was "Jamie At Home", just to piss Craig off haha

I think there's already a BNL appreciation thread, but yes, I was a "Stuntie" as well, and I bought the CD for "One Week" and "It's All Been Done" and I promptly bought everything I could find soon thereafter. The way they arrange their music, the content of their lyrics, and the camaraderie within the band, really speaks to me on a personal level, and they mean so much to me. -
I saw Speed Racer last night too! I completely agree with you, was slow in some parts but definitely visually stunning. That being said, there are quite a few things I want to nitpick about, but it was just a generally upbeat movie, so I don't want to sound too negative about it I don't think it'll do well though, considering opening night was last night, and we went to the last showing and there were barely any people there...
