  1. http://www.epitonic.com/artists/guidedbyvoices.html They sound a lot like the Who. I'm sure you'd like them, if you like good indie rock. Ah well... The Watchmen 7.5/10 They had some good songs over the years, and Danny Greaves is a pretty solid singer, too. Deathcab For Cutie
  2. I'm not happy he's dead, although now that he's gone, someone better can step up
  3. 9/10 Joe Strummer is The Man. 'Nuff said. Guided By Voices.
  4. I second that motion with a vengeance.
  5. "Can't Explain" - The Who The Who are an awesome band ;)
  6. I think a juggalo is someone who never had a proper upbringing. By that, I mean that they were dropped on their heads as infants. They possibly could have been traumatized by the man in the park with the present in his pants.
  7. 9/10 Are they emo? I don't care. They rock. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
  8. That's why every second time I hear it, I change the station.
  9. 8.5/10 I like them a lot, but Frank Black's voice just doesn't work for me most of the time. It's awesome that they came back, though. The Weakerthans
  10. A lot of 80's Metallica is pretty good.
  11. I don't like 'Invasion 1' or the LOTGA version of "Haven't Slept In Years"
  12. 9/10 Great music, great lyrics. I can't wait for their new album to come out. The Shins
  13. I'm sexy. I'm cute. I'm popular to boot. I'm bitchin'. Great hair. The boys all love to stare. I have 834 posts and 348 NF$ Yay for me!
  14. Portastatic are really good. Try and find 'Summer Of The Shark', their 2003 album. It's great. You can search for them here.
  15. And now he's trying to pull out of the territories and dismantle the settlements. Arafat is trying to do...nothing for the good of his people. I'm not making excuses for Sharon. He's an idiot. But a lot of what I've heard on this issue can be summed up as this: "Sharon is a disgrace on the human race! That fascist bastard! Arafat? Meh. What about him?"
  16. Probably 'A Boy And His Machine Gun'. 'Appartions', 'WWWHR', 'Blue Skies Over Bad Lands', AoPC', 'Running For Home', and 'Sort Of A Protest Song' are pretty close behind.
  17. It was in the paper this morning. This can't be good. The regular troops aren't trained for urban warfare.
  18. There was rumours of a massive offensive against Fallujah floating around a few months ago. It was said that it wouldn't occur until after the election so that if the operation went south, it wouldn't harm Bush in the election.
  19. Why would people think that Bush could protect them when Public Enemy #1 is still on the loose and in full working condition? He's the one who attacked America, not Saddam. There was no threat from Iraq to begin with! Because of the neo-con obsession with Iraq, Bin Laden is pretty much being ignored. God help George Bush if another 9/11 happens.
  20. When was the last time Arafat tried to stem terrorism? When did he try to give democracy to his people? Why won't he let his Prime Minister have more power in the cabinet? Any unrest after his death is his own fault as he refused to even appoint a successor, much less make any headway into a democratic process. Arafat himself is a terrorist, much in the way that Bin Laden is. (PLO anyone?) He has condoned these practises for years and only denounces them for show. A few years ago, he walked away from a deal that would have given Palestinian autonomy over 96% of their territory. How is that responsible? As for Sharon, he too is an arrogant sonofabitch. That wall is a giant blemish on the majority of Israelis, who favour a free Palestinian state at peace with Israel. But Nazi? He's...umm...Jewish.
