  1. It looks really lame in the previews, and the fact it's been constantly pimped everywhere doesn't help it's cause. But Cameron hasn't really made a bad movie, and has the title of best action movie ever with T2. What's the difference from seeing it in imax/3d vs regular?
  2. Without knowing the logistics of where you need to be, yeah. If he goes on at 930 he'd be done by 1100. And if he was to still be playing at 12 or 1230, I don't think anyone would want to miss that ;)
  3. Have you wondered over to the US topic? MG made a post, it will be the same stuff from this tour.
  4. He's basically playing all of Vancouver now correct?
  5. yep it's the same thing, Millvale is like 10 minutes from downtown. If you need any help with directions or suggestions on hotels, things to do outside of concert feel free to pm. The igloo is the oldest building in the league and while the E/F level are more like 2nd level at the ACC some of the seats are limited view. On the flip side D level is still pretty low and affordable.
  6. Hopefully they do look at some of the logic flaws and can intermingle some more action into the show. Especially some action that doesn't revolve around the stones or drama amongst themselves. I read there was gonna be some plot by the lucen alliance to take over the ship. I'm SO glad that didn't happen. Alas the more I think about the show, and how they don't know where they are etc etc, the less sense it makes. The ancients are billed as these super smart, industrious people. I just can't see how they'd have an unmanned ship, but not have any mention of it, or how to find it in their database. Then I ask why the ship is so big if it's unmanned, and why would there be no mention of how to use the 9th chevron. Too many times the "ancient database" was used to move a plot forward or solve some otherwise impossible riddle. Now it's like well...it's just a mystery. meh..off my soapbox.
  7. Graceland here you come!
  8. Really??!?!?! I was sure it was rush from like 5 seconds in, it just made sense. I didn't know it was the season finale, lame it was short too 9? episodes? All in all I like the show, but personally I'd rather hear more about space adventure, than personal drama plotted on a spaceship. It's close, the characters are portrayed well, and the acting is solid. The show just kinda gets lost on 25 minutes of dialogue and 16 minutes of thin, quick "action" I get the vibe a lot of BSG fans are disappointed by the lower level of dialogue compared to BSG and that most SG fans are into campy one and out scripts. I don't see that changing and I don't see this show lasting too much longer as currently scripted. One thing that SG really lacks in is fleshing out stories about the millions of other civilizations that are/might be out there. It's such a fascinating and really endless resource that all the SG shows just fail to tap into, I really don't get why. They abuse the idea of putting their cast in peril, when ultimately you know everyone will be alright. SGU hasn't done that a ton thankfully. I miss TNG, everything about it...sigh...I loved the episodes where there was a mystery to be solved that didn't automatically put people in peril. You had characters developed without stopping the plot, or having arcs of just interpersonal drama like on DS9. Epic, beautiful characters. Even the fringe characters you loved/hated. Troy's mom, Gi'nan? Q!! the list goes on...
  9. Millvale is actually 99.9% pittsburgh, and is a church converted into an arena. It's pretty big for a small place, but it's nice, and everyone there is super chill. Factor in that it should be pretty empty(i'm REALLY Shocked that he's playing pittsburgh) and that it's $15! lol..skull fuck me silly. The HOB in cleveland is also pretty nice, much more modern than Mr. Smalls, but cleveland as a city is a pit.
  10. Just watched this last week. It's pretty solid, I'd imagine it's pretty close to how things went. I hope it helps people get a feel for not liking it but following orders and the blanket of bureaucracy that the US suffers through daily in all things.
  11. So I just caught up on flash forward, I've heard these shows are similar. Anyone draw an comparisons? I like x-files but it's mythology stand alone episodes bore me to tears. I've seen a lot of comparisons between those two shows. I'd glossed the thread, it seems like something i'd at least kinda enjoy.
  12. playing contemporary music seems to have quite the buzz these days. I just started watching flash forward and they were doing it too...
  13. Band members were fighting? that's pretty intense. Any elaboration possible?
  14. You're probably right, other than before booking he could say no booze or i'm not playing. And anyone who things this doesn't happen at every show is fooling themselves. It MAY have been worse but this stuff is life for a rock star. Well save the moshing during an acoustic song that's silly.
  15. yikes well there is your problem, jumping right into the nest of non sense. Lets try not to tag the whole country as bumpkins, you do live in the middle of fucking no where. I've heard plenty of Canadians that spout racist republican values.
  16. wow, I was dreading watching tonights episode after seeing the coming attractions. then hearing flogging fucking molly(who i like) was really a turn off, so out of place. BUT!!! at the end of the episode I was blown away. It was so good..probably my favorite of the show. Save the lesbo scene, seemed a bit melodramatic. I really liked ending the episode with finishing "the worst day since yesterday" that was cool and surprising. not sure how I feel about show having so much "main stream" music going back to atlantis.
  17. I don't think anyone has ever taken them seriously ever. But the quality of their music, and lyrics has gone from fun to just unintelligible nonsense.
  18. sometimes I wonder if I heard all the weezer albums now for the first time if i'd like anyone of them. I had blue on tape(yeah tape!) and I played it enough it was barely working. Pinkerton was hard to get into at 14 but looking back it's a really fucking good cd. After that? jesus...green is okay..the rest I never made it through a cd.
  19. Oh lol..it's a rhetorical question then, everyone on here would be at any show they could even kinda make time for. Not that hearing most of the songs he is touring with now is bad or boring. But if you could hand pick a set list, or even know that a bunch of random old songs were gonna be played? no one that took the time to come to this board would pass that up.
  20. I thought it was about missing "video killed the radio star" seriously though definitely top 5 songs, I think the lyrics might just be a simple vignette
  21. if you figure 30/ticket gets you about an hour and a half. for $100 He should play 3-4 hours, regardless of how intimate or exclusive the material would be. I don't see that being possible for MG, MAYBE if he only played 2-3 times a week. But that's a long time to play and sing. But throwing the logistics and reality out. If he would play some of the lesser played songs and play long enough to offset the cost/time that would be cool and i'd go.
  22. I liked the dialogue and the acting, eli was tip top. The paradox-ish plot was kinda cool until the end. I'd have liked to have left it with just the senators daughter dead, that would have been clever, and left you wondering. Frankly I thought she was done I was pretty shocked. Once 5 regulars got killed off the only outcome was "deus ex machina" oh boy solar flares, flying squid, and salty water : ) see ya next week! The end of the episode and the coming attractions for next week seem to pretty off. The ending, to me, implies some sort of explanation. The seemingly indifferent response to such a mind fuck was disappointing. Maybe i'm being too harsh, and don't appreciate the character drama, at the expense of the "plot." But you left the episode off with like this maybe we won't make it ending, kinda a cliff hanger. Then you see coming attractions with people that just may have died.
  23. good tune. CON and born losers are my fave but this #3 !
  24. lots of good choices in here.. zombieland was one of the funniest movies i've seen in years.
  25. very low on the list for me, rather hear rico : )
