while I feel a lot of the soapbox stuff I moaned about in previous posts still applies, I just realized the show came back the first three new episodes aka 11-13 have been really good. 13 especially. It's nice to see some "new" stuff in the sng world. really really blown away by hearing brand new..although in general the song of the week is kinda meh.

ben's not ready to die? wtf? seems like everyone gave up at the end..that was a brutal finish. Years on the island = well don't matter. just seems like a slap in the face. ps - hi richard welcome to 2008? or whatever enjoy.. at least there won't be a movie !
-
so what have you guys gotten so far for your subscriptions? feel like you're getting anything out of it?
-
poor poor sayied...ruined..lame..awful..and i'm sure his inevitable change back into a good guy? ugh..
-
ugh..no as much as I have learned to respect the fact neal pert has 453 drums, I just can't get over the voice... Do you think that we as a world will meet another world of people in your(our) lifetime? = been listening to too much failure/hum tonight.

Was that inside? I saw him in 03 and 05? there was definitely more than 1000 people.. anyway enjoy the show..hope he plays all night! so I can be salty I didn't try to make it to NYC!

Inside? Both times i've seen MG play at arizona's was outside it was fenced in(IDK if that's a permenant fence..) there was 2500 - 3k, not to be a smart ass I didn't get a head count, just going on feeling. The outdoors were full. I'm pretty sure the shows were sold out.. I don't think $28 is cheap..I wouldn't pay $100 to see MG or anyone else..most "shows" I go to are in the 12-25 range..but that's all relative. Again, i'm not "mad" just a little salty cost vs. playing time, and most of the cost I feel like went to the venue. It's not biggie..I BIG HEART MG's music.

the drinks, didn't factor in to the cost of the show vs. other stops on the tour. I know better than to expect anything less than $10 drinks in philly..alas.. They played for $15 in Pittsburgh(the only place I recall prices off top of my head) that's about half as much, for imo, a small, and better venue then where they played philly. $13 more for the same set. I don't think MG saw that money, i'm not "upset" or "disappointed" with the band at all.. .. The last time I was in your lil neck of the woods I saw him for $22? I think, at arizona's they played 6-7 more songs and again, imo, while being probably 150ish people tonight vs. 3000? in st. caths, the show wasn't as good. They played 6-7 songs longer, and having the crowd into it was kinda better. I felt like they rocked out a bit more the few times up north, but that was also years ago, and again in a bigger venue in front of "home town" fans. like guitar said. i'm 110% not pissed at anyone...I got the vibe it was just kinda going through the motions other than few bits and pieces of humor. They played G R E A T and fine, I fully enjoyed myself, just thought it was rather high money wise vs. some of the other venues home and abroad. Would you like any further explanation? let me know if you find anything else you'd like to take a shot at being condescending about : )
-
no..never ever..even on the other end. Anyone else thing it's weird people sat down and ate dinner while watching Matt Good play tonight??
-
you would be correct sir he also played load me up. boy great whales load me up / intro to love will tear us apart(kinda lame) born losers been a while disco time(just played disco while the disco ball spun) apparitions last parade odette weapon giant champs they didn't say squat until the 3rd song..then got the giggles. Someone bought them drinks : )(not me ) they chatted a bit after one more song but that was about it..they were imo really tight and kill weapon/giant/ champions. Have they been playing champions kinda slow/acoustic/ and then still kinda slow when everyone kicks in. I was glad I went, they were awesome..but for $28 bucks + like 20+ for a round of drinks I probably would skip it next time sadly. It was a bit high. Considering other venues state side were 15-20 and heck I only paid 22 I think for shows in canada.

I like gravity the best..although if you compare with the rest of their stuff it's the step child of the bunch. For me, I find a lot of songs that just are very very, blah, almost like filler. I'm pretty sure most wouldn't agree with that however. Over the 5? or so records I find about a cd's worth of songs i'm interested in listening too. -
ha! that's the vibe I am going for. I'm not much for ebay and i'm definitely not gonna pay 10 + 7 to have it shipped! you're safe!
-
Maybe someone is tired of driving 500 miles between sets? sick?
-
yea the thought crossed my mind, but it's a little to abstract for what i'm looking to do with it. I want something that says MG or is very easy to identify...

SNW - meh..a couple of good songs but overall meh.. it's weird when I was your age (lol) I LOVED adrenaline and around the fur..actually had around the fur on a promo disc(you kids today are spoiled!) They got a little lighter without really branching out the last couple of cd's..it's too hard to be just on and too soft to be jamming, if that makes sense. I find I like the slower songs from the newer cd's..and pretty much front to back on the first two cds. Anyone check out team sleep? chino's side project? REALLY like welcome to the stage. -

they're solid I had to go back a couple of years ago and revisit. When I was your age(lol) back in like 98 I couldn't really get into it, even though I was listening to other similar stuff. That said..these days they are solid, for the most part. I find that I skip songs here and there and end up listening to a playlist of several songs from several different albums/eps. -
I haven't been a big fan of the first 8? episodes this season, more of the same, not a lot of questions answered. A lot of back story what ifs. BUTTTTT yesterdays episode was killer. IDK but richard was sooooooooooooooooo good in it. Again it really didn't answer much. You knew he was from the ship and how he got there was also kinda obvious..but he was so strong, it's amazing how moving he was. He should have had way more airtime.
-
a quasi bump.. I'd be interested in something like this as well..i'm not looking to pay more than 5-10 bucks plus shipping but you have something you'd like to get rid of to a big fan : ) i'm your man..or woman if that would help your decision!
