  1. Thats a good idea, I have an extra one as well. Let me know if you end up coordinating something
  2. Nah, not embarrassing. Gomo was only making reference to the original post: not an insinuation that we would have to wait another 2-3 years to get the finished product. I am assuming a lot about 3 district posts with this statement, but that is how I interpreted it.
  3. any conceivable reason why I can't listen to these? I click the pay icon and get nothing, am i missing a step?
  4. HA, clever. Haven't seen that one before
  5. I want a "I hear Matt Good is a real asshole" T-shirt... I think it is of a similar vintage
  6. I remember a time when this was my favourite song in the world. Had to listen to the original after this clip, and it sends me back to grade 10 in the most bittersweet way possible. Starting to get pretty excited about this concert!
  7. My thoughts exactly.... those would be the two obvious replacements, or possibly Running for Home. I am guessing Load me up will be completely different (maybe like the Rooms version of Time Bomb?). That or its just a single that people are familiar with, so it would boost sales of the EP outside of the diehard fans
  8. Saw them in Abbotsford last weekend (also my first time). Such a fun show! They just cranked out the hits (and a couple of deep cuts that were nice too) Takes me back.... the whole show felt like a sing along, everyone was pumped. Such great nostalgia.
  9. I live out in Abbotsford (AKA, the boonies to Vancouver folk) and we have a couple of great little breweries. My favourite is Raven, but Old Abby Ales is not too shabby is you like belgian style (and they usually have all sorts of wacky beers on tap.... usually over 20 at a time of their own creations! Every time I go in the place there is like 12 new ones on the board). Any day now we are getting a new one as well (Field House Brewing), which sounds super promising. Exciting times
  10. Protest song!?!?! That is awesome.... I am a sucker for AOB tracks. It would be amazing if he added it to the full band setlist.
  11. Harridan made a killer opener... Would have liked an upbeat closer (like automatic or girls in black), but for the most part pretty awesome. Wish I hadn't heard that he was reworking police cars for this tour, kinda got my hopes up. Funniest part of the concert was after time bomb when Matt said: "playing that song is like going to work at the same job for 20 years, and the same customer comes in every tuesday.... and wednesday... and thursday" also made some comments about how valley life isn't so bad (didn't realize he lived in mission), and how vancouver isn't really a city (but toronto is coincidentally..... definitely got a reaction out of the crowd with that one) obviously brought up remembrance day, but given his general stance on things there was a moment when it looked like he might put his foot in his mouth (how there was no point to WWI, korean war, afghanistan, etc), but managed to turn it around in the end other odd snippets: rambled about Cialis, and about how the best erection of his life was when he was dead for 43 seconds aaaaand the guy at the end of the concert who used the break between each encore song to shout out requests for symbolistic white walls. Matt ignored him until right before tiger by the tail, when he simply said "nah"
  12. Chilliwack setlist: Harridan Load me Up Army of Lions Born Losers Kid down a well Cold Water All you sons and daughters No liars Alert Status Red Hello Time Bomb Los Alamos Apparitions Weapon Encore: Giant Cloudbusting Tiger by the tail A bit of a funny concert, Matt was really quiet for most of it, (almost seemed lost for words) then all of a sudden got really chatty near the end of the main set. They made a last minute change to the setlist at the end (apparently they were going to play something else instead of cloud busting, or changed the order.... i figure they were running out of time, that maybe they cut a track out, maybe everything is automatic?). Anyone else at the show?
  13. Playing Divinity: Original Sin. If you like Baldur's Gate, this game is definitely for you
  14. If you have no experience with turn based RPG's then there is a bit of a learning curve.... but the game itself is not hard, and it does a good job at hand holding in the beginning if you need it. The older NES and japanese versions of SNES final fantasies are much harder, they turned down the difficulty for the north american market. If you "level up" at all in FFVII the game is laughably easy... i play them more for the story and cinematic aspect
  15. I just beat ff vii for the.... 5th? time, had to re-buy the game which hurt ($40 later) because i don't have a pc and can't get it on steam But...... it was just as, if not more enjoyable this time around.... the story however, was just as confusing as ever. i think i had a greater grip on it when i beat it 3 times back to back to back like a decade ago, but i finally beat both ruby and emerald (which i kind of cheated to do, but whatever.... w-item/morph source duplication glitching is more fun then level grinding when already level grinding at level 80) Anyways, thats my nerd rant for the day. I will say that although ffx is probably better game play wise, but style wise nothing touches ff vii for me, and the music is absolutely killer
  16. I noticed that nobody put up a setlist for the Canada day show. I will try to reconstruct it from the best of my memory: Giant Last Parade Born Losers Non Populus Guns of Carolina Had it Coming Load me Up Alert Status red So Close Hello Time Bomb Weapon Apparitions Encore: Garden of Knives Shallow's Low It's a bit muddy in the middle, but pretty sure that is everything that he played.... i wish that AOB would get more love on this tour, oh well.

  22. i found this album much more coherent and cohesive than most of their previous material. Unlike bedlam and Amputechture, which displayed multitudes of songs that switched gears too many times to have any real consistency (Tetragramaton could have been at least 4 distinct individual songs) this one seems like the focus was a little bit more directed. I personally really like the album and think that it might even be more accessible than De-loused (not necessarily better, but probably easier to listen to as a whole). The song structures resemble normal songs (shock, gasp)... although the strange lyrics are still abounding (although not as prolific, and are used more as an accessory to an actual thought process) and there is still a little bit of song extension via weird droning noises, it is way more restrained. For me, "With Twilight as my guide", "desperate graves", and "Copernicus" are the stand outs, although "halo of Nembutals" and "luciforms" are the only ones that I even consider skipping on the album.
  23. Actually, her body didn't go missing. She was all disoriented after the blast, but went with Sawyer when they left the other's village (after the smoke monster owned all those GI Joe guys). They made a fire in the forest that night and went to sleep. She woke up and Christian was sitting down by the fire, holding the baby. He told her to go with him, so she left the baby there and went with him. In the morning, Sawyer couldn't find her, but found Aaron and then proceeded to the helicopter. Then John saw her in the Cabin with Christian.... where he was told not to mention it to anybody.
  24. If you like Vonnegut and haven't checked out Sirens of Titan, do so. In my opinion it is his best work by far.... cat's cradle would be second. I don't understand why Slaughterhouse is his most famous work
