The first one was so-so and the second one rocked, IMO.

The whole crew of the Flying Dutchman was wicked. I liked the whole 'sea monster' theme and stuff. The ending was just....ugh though.

I couldn't understand that balck Jamaican witchdoctor chick. And the storyline seemed really stupid and convuluted. All in all, I was a little dissapointed.

Wow. I was actually JUST about to make this topic. Tom Petty rocks. Into the Great Wide Open is probably my favourite of his albums.

I'm listening to the new CD now. Haven't listened to any complete songs yet, but from just browsing around it seems pretty decent. I'm really digging Sympathy. Crappy lyrics, but funky melody. Edit: Wow, just a few minutes later and the shallowness is starting to show. But whatever; for a brainless 'fun' album it isn't bad.

Mel Blanc (the voice of Bugs Bunny) was ironically alergic to carrots. Also, I dunno if this one is true, but apparently his tombstone says 'That's all folks!'

The Tom Petty Anthology. I think I like the Into the Great Wide Open record better...

Red Hot Chili Peppers always struck me as a very summer-ey band. Californication is a great summer hang-out record.
