Undertow Trailer. just saw the movie. one word: wow. I think it might be the best film I've seen this year. It's a small film, but if you get a chance to see it, do.

Don't watch TV, so I really couldn't say.

He's not on the CA ballots either. My mother is a huge Nader fan (being that she grew up in San Francisco in the 60's) and it took 2 full months for me and my sister to finally talk her into voting for Kerry (in the end it was when we showed her Fahrenheit 9/11 that she finally changed her mind)

I found it pretty, and laughed a few times (though most of the times, I don't think it was intended to be a funny bit). I'd say worth the rental, especially for Jake Gyllenhaal fans.

I'm pretty sure that's the Goo Goo Dolls, not MB20, but I could be wrong.

I thought the bit part he did in 'Dave' was great, but that's about it.

Does anyone else find it weird that this thread has lived so long?

*supresses chuckle* Of course I haven't seen all the imports (but my guess is that you haven't either) and I know for a fact that I see more than the average person. But (just for starters, off the top of my head) some great foreign language import movies: City of God, Bicycle Thief, Battleship Potempkin, M, Raise the Red lantern, Blue White Red, Un Chien Andalou, Run Lola Run, Jules et Jim, Amores Perros, Habla Con Ella, Amelie, Y Tu Mama Tambien, Read My Lips, Man On The Train, I'm Not Scared (shall I continue, I got more...) Not to mention all of the English language foreign films. Now, I might be willing to put this one up in the most amazing cinematography of a import film category, but not the best over-all film.

No doubt it is rather freaky, but it makes sense with the story. And he doesn't look nearly as corpse-like when he's fully clothed (most of the 1/2 clothed stuff that is in the movie is in the trailer)

I just got back from seeing it. Christian Bale is absolutely mesmerizing. Overall the movie is a B+, but Bale is Oscarworthy.

I feel like a complete geek that I love them, but...I LOVE THEM. I put them on when I have to drive for 1 hour +, roll up the windows and sing along at the top of my lungs.... feels good.

*gasp* Just a little while ago I spent big $NF to change mine. *grumble* Doesn't really matter though. I have everything from the download store and still have some $NF around (in case of emergency).

I love them. I'm yet to buy their new album as I'm still digesting the new Elliott Smith. But I plan to buy it later this week.

hmmm. Well, I'm not sure what the best movie I've seen this year is (there have been 108 that I've seen in theatres this year so farand the year isn't even over yet...) but my favorite is Garden State. It's not the best, but it is my favorite.

It's great. It is propaganda, but it never tried to hide it. So long as you go in knowing that that's what it is, you'll get a lot out of it.

I just got back from seeing it. I didn't really like the trailer, but it's the kind of movie that you can't not see (like The Passion of the Christ) I laughed (especially at the songs) but it was a 80 minute movie (if that) in a 100 minute movie body. And in all fairness, the artistry of the puppets was pretty damn good.

Godfather.... *mmm*

BNL has some hysterical songs, and others that are absolutley heartbreakingly beautiful.
