It is absolutely worth seeing. it's funny and smart and sweet and...funny.
-
because it earned it.

4/5 for me. I really liked it, my face hurt for hours after I saw it because I had smiled so much. Jason Lee was great, and the character after Edith Head just killed me. Highly recommend.

No, I haven't (which I consider a good thing)

It's not cliched dialog!!!!!!! It is beautiful and brilliant Mamet dialog. Val Kilmer does an incredible job of playing a character who we like and know absolutely nothing about (not an easy task). Granted the plot is a tiny bit shakey, but Mamet is truly amazing in his ability to tell the story with out having the actors tell the story (damn near impossible to do). It is a five-star movie. (I love Mamet--just in case you couldn't tell)

It wasn't enough to change to outcome. But since it happened there, it probably happened elsewhere, so they could have added up.

John Mayer albums *bows head in complete and utter shame* But it's not my fault. My friend and I went up to the City (San Francisco) and the only CD she brought was John Mayer. So we listened to him all the way thru (as car has no radio reception) and by the time we got there, she had gotten me addicted to the album. He's like ice cream--you know it's bad for you, and that you'll only feel worse after, but during it feels so good. -
I love Bridget, v. much. And I think that her diary should be required reading for all men before they begin dating--would help a lot, I feel. (have just spent 2 hours in tub reading Edge of Reason, and as such am still thinking in Bridget-like way, v. strange) Any other Bridget fans here?

I like the idea for this thread too--I like where it's going (but know nothing of the last artist mentioned so shall now shut up.) -
I've only ever heard the one he recorded on his computer, but it is truly amazing.

Because a lot of the major productions get filmed there, and they don't take gaffers and best boys and set dressers with them from LA to Canada, they just get people from Canada. So people (some literally third or fourth generations on sets) have a lot harder time finding good paying or union work.

She's got a point. He's also very good as Thomas Ince in 'The Cat's Meow'
