Yah it was hilarious. At the time it doesn't feel like the funniest movie you've ever seen, but then you realize that your face and throat hurt from laughing. It's sad that most of the quotes can never be used outside of that movie.

Christopher Nolan owns all face, but I'm not sure I approve of Insomnia. BUT! American History X was on the other night (night for me being 2 in the morning ish) and it's good enough that I tried to stay up and watch it, even though I've seen it a few times. My only real beef with it as a movie is that Edward Norton has a tendancy suck me into liking him, until I realize that he's just playing himself, and not doing it very well at times. But it's good and stuff.

Not I. I'll use whatever names I want! I remember when the Aristocats came out. It was when I first started hating Disney movies with a passion. So I'm seeing this movie out of spite.

Not that it really matters, but he hasn't always been "bashing" America, and if anything he criticises the Canadian music that makes it into America for being generic. I don't really care it's jsut something I always have to defend Matt Good about.

Haha. I had a dream last night where I went to a Matt Good concert and when he started playing something that wasn't on the best of people all left. Then me anf my friends hung out with him and he said I could do secondary commentary on the DVD. Maybe Matt Good had a dream where he hung out with us.

Dear Mike, Though I've already said what I'm about to say to you, I'm going ot type it out anyway. This is mainly because I'm a jerk. The movie will be released in Canada. The only advertisement I've heard/seen has been on 102.1 The Edge, an Alan cross vehicle. This to me proves that it will in fact be released at least in Canada. The brains behind this movie was on one of the late nighters the other night, and it seems that due to the apperent interest expressed in this movie, it will not be as limited a release as it was originally intended to be. With limited releases there are always places to go in Toronto to see them, and even places in the GTA that show them, Winston Churchill AMC being an example. So in conclusion Mike, just because you started a thread about this, doesn't mean a) you came up with the idea first or B) you are better than me in any way shape or form. I had the idea to see this movie today at work, probably before you were even born. Even ask Frank. I'm the best. Love Eric.

Batman Begins F'in Rocks...
The_Rat_Who_Would_be_King replied to matrix's topic in The Silver Screen
Since this thread it back up in my grill again, I'd like to once again say how good this movie was. Recently I've found myself stopping what im doing, staring into nothing, and wishing I was, at that very second, watching Batman. Without at all thinking about what I'm about to say so no one get all cranky and debate it, it's the best Batman movie ever, one of the best movies (.) this year, and one of the best comic book movies ever. Only thing I can think of to rival it, coincidentally in almost all of these catagories would be Sin City. -
"rocked: Sum 41 In Congo"

I was upset that they didnt have a glory moment where they all stuck around instead of leaving because they don't deserve to flee the country more than anyone else does. But "we're all to blame" was totally sick. -

No, I find it annoying. You can get away with any one crime due to your dashing good looks. What crime do you commit? -
Favorite Book?
The_Rat_Who_Would_be_King replied to mikebutt's topic in Rentals, Television, and Readables
I can't choose one. Three that I really want to re-read though are A Seperate Peace, ALTINLTS (MG), and to a lesser extent, the Life of Pie. I guess that makes them my favourites. -

The Becoming - Nine Inch Nails I hear "Hiding backwards in side of me" (which is what i think is right) as "hiding backwards in sodomy." I think I have a problem. -
Hahahaha. Dropped. I thought only hip hop albums "dropped."

Awesome.

Much Music
The_Rat_Who_Would_be_King replied to heyrabbit's topic in Rentals, Television, and Readables
I'm totally bringing it back. That and calling someone a "homo", or "a gay". But seriously. Much Music is gay. -
Though this has nothing really to do with the thread, yesterday I head the lyrics "That's got to be jelly, cause jam don't shake like that" in an Alabama 3(the guys who did the Sopranos theme) song. For all you suckers who still don't have slow and low, this post will seem even more pointless than it already is. Just use the hub suckers.

Much Music
The_Rat_Who_Would_be_King replied to heyrabbit's topic in Rentals, Television, and Readables
I think of Much Music and I think of the upsides to euthanasia. I think the world would be a better place if that building just crumbled to the ground. But at the same time I'm glad that there is an outlet for some of the things they do show on that channel. Oh and the days of Rachel Perry were Much Music's prime. Back when you could turn it on and expect to see MGB. I miss it. -

A study has shown that it's actually the worst songs that get stuck in your head, which is why it is often so frustrating. I swear I didn't make that up. Sucks to be You was edgy. It had the word bastard in it. And suck. At the time it came out I thought suck was a minor swear. So I was just like "Oooooh snap!" -
Radiohead
The_Rat_Who_Would_be_King replied to pennies's topic in Music In General: David Bowie Appreciation Station
Well played. In light of Mr. Saturnine's wordsmithery, I shall restate my opinion. I don't like Radiohead that much. But they are pretty alright sometimes. -
Had some good one liners. I'm certainly considering doing a cut and paste job with this mother, just to shatter my friends soul with these words of mediocre craft.

Do or do not. There is no try. That's right I said it. Suck a fat one Thom Yorke. -

If I had to make a career encompassing generalization, and I don't, I'd have to say they are overrated and they try to hard to be artsy and weird. But they are still pretty good.
