  1. 5/10, i never liked black and white movies as a kid, and you brought back bad memories.
  2. I remember that thread, it touched my heart. Anyone in the GTA want to go to YTV with me?
  3. Yaaaaaaay! I'm tempted to download itunes so I can buy the first season, just so that I push the sales closer to warrenting a DVD.
  4. So, at about this time last year I probably stated a thread called Stella, and this can be seen as a continuation of that. The guys from Stella were once part of the sketch comedy group called The State, which had a show on MTV in the mid-90s. I just recently actually tried watching this show on the few full episodes they have on youtube, and I found it hilarious. Up there with Kids in the Hall and Mr. Show. Has anyone else ever watched this? Or has anyone else ever read this thread up to this point, watched an episode on youtube, then come back here with something to say?
  5. For the last few years it has been my dream to take over YTV so that I could have access to all the stuff they have in their vaults, assuming they have vaults. Some of those old forgotten shows and those crazy computer animated things still haunt my dreams. I don't know if you guys remember when they had the lazyboy with the purple cowskin pattern on it, speading down a highway int he country, with The Flight of the Bumblebee playing, but I swear one time it was on a loop and I watched it for ten minutes.
  6. YTV for sure deserves two threads. And more. Anti Gravity Room was sickness. I remember going to a comic book convention when I was a kid and I thought I saw Phil when I was eating nearby, and since it was so possible that he was there, I was convinced it was him. The first time I can remember being star struck. Daryn Jones was on that show too wasn't he? Also, one time Spacehog was on that show. And one of their songs mentions being in the zone, and as a youth I thought it was a homage to YTV. For some reason.
  7. What's Eating Gilbert Grape
  8. Angels in the Outfield
  9. That or the Work Group.
  10. Oh damn. I remember that now too. Great, now that's going to bug me until I leave this thread.
  11. His picture is blowing the mind of my inner child.
  12. I remember Freaky Stories. The first tiem I saw it was a marathon, possibly on halloween. I know it was a special day or weekend because my parents weren't there and I had the TV to my self. Edit: I was looking up YTV the other day on Wikipedia, and it's too hard to pick from, but one I didn't mention in the other thread was Rocko's Modern Life. Amazing show, and way adult.
  13. I voted the first one, but I'll admit that when new music comes out I go all fanboy and forget that sometimes it's really dark stuff from a tortured but real life person. I was also kinda grossed out when the other day I came here and found that there was no thread regarding the current crap in Matt's life, though I realize how silly it would be to have one. But the bad part was that all there was was a few comments in another thread about how it'll produce great music. It was a bit sick.
  14. Kick out the jams - Presidents of the United States of America Snap.
  15. If I came to Vancouver, would it be weird if I watched it with you?
  16. oh my god. I found my soulmate. Or at least a dude I can watch TV with in my childhood/adolescenceness. I wasn't sure on the spelling of that one, so I just went all owtness.
  17. Sometimes I find people who own it on DVD, and they make it on my hero list automatically.
  18. I watched Primer today. Borntohula introduced me to it. I love it. It's the best independent time traveller movie filmed in austin texes ever. For boredom's sake, I will also point out that I watched it with cast and crew commentary.
  19. How the West Was Won
  20. Top Five Shows Nobody remembers but me: 5. C.O.P.S. 4. Stressed Eric 3. Quantum Leap 2. Insektors 1. Muthafuckin' WKRP in Cincinatti Runners up: Dinobabies, and Bump in the Night. (Have you ever looked up YTV on Wikipedia!?)
  21. Art School Confidential
  22. Meds is an awesome album. I've downloaded some of their stuff in the past, but for the most part couldn't get into until Meds. Also, anyone else notice how much the lead singer sounds like Dave Foley?
