i can't believe troublemakers go to a concert just to give problems... why don't they just stay home or outside the building? ;) and let artists do their job AND real fans enjoy the concerts? I'm sick of those people who go to the concert and behave that way...
-
GOOD luck with that operation buddy... and take A LOT of care, ok? regards and hugs from Spain
-
that's good... most of the typical famous bands just play an hour and they leave... and their concerts are very expensive (the last one I've seen, Muse, was around an hour and 10 and they seemed to be doing us a favor because they were playing 10 mins extra...) and the ticket was around 35 euros...
-
but pony body and altogether are from the AOB era, right? "Hopeless" is just a song i would have never thought of Matt playing and included in one of his Cds ;)
-
how long is more or less one of his concerts?
-
wow ;) very nice collection, right!!! you must have all that as your "personal treasure", right?
-
thanx for the info, buddy ;)
-
wow:) it seems they are becoming pretty popular, aren't they?
-
i have never heard of them... but the fact that you say they opened for the wonderful Matthew Good makes me be curious about them ;) how do they sound? do you know their webpage?
-
they are pretty good and they sound terribly great live... they were playing in Madrid a couple of months ago and their show on stage (with baloons, with 3 huge screens where they project images, etc.) is very very good hopefully i will see them again mid July in Xacobeo 2004, a festival in La Coruña, northwest of Spain (together with The Cure, Starsailor, P.J. Harvey... and many more)
-
in general, I think (or I have the feeling) that most of the songs in the AOB have been underrrated... fall of man is an example, and "tripoli" is another one from that album
-
The rat who would be king Under the influence Prime time deliverance for example ;)
-
yeah, the same happens in Spain... Matt's records are impossible to find, not even if u ask the records store to order it, they won't do it because they know it would be "business"...
-
i have many favorite ones, and many parts that i like... this is one of them: "George is teaching the kids to fight Look at the world and you tell me it's all right" ("North American for life")
-
yeah, i agree... i would've included Dusk instead of Hopeless, for example... it fits more with the ballad-kind-of song than Hopeless... ;)
-
well, out of 100, 4th is a very good position ;)
-
then fast, vote in another post for "we're so heavy" ;) it's also my favorite song... i just love it
-
wow... i didnt know that a Matt's song could have marked you so strongly...
-
exactly ;) the Smashing Pumpkins is a good example... most of the songs share the same tune because it is (was) Smashing Pumpkins "typical tune", but each song was different from the others... I think it is exactly the same that may happen with MG AND with many other bands...
-
oh man... i still haven't had time to re-listen Hail to the thief... someone will probably get the answer before i can even try to listen to it... I'm gonna try to find out today and post the answer - if i can find it!!! - ;)
-
I honestly think that the fact that some songs may sound to you similar is not because he's reciclying previous stuff... it is just - this is only my opinion - because there are typical sounds, tunes, etc. which identify a band and that makes that anytime you listen to that band it is easy to identify who you are listening to. think of any other band: when you listen to a new Coldplay or a Smashing Pumpkins - when they existed - song, you very easily know that you are listening to Coldplay, Smashing Pumpkins or whichever band just because the sounds and tunes and even the kind of words "sound familiar" to you... I personally think it happens in music in general and in all bands, it is not something with respect to MG in particular
-
I have all of them, but the only ones that are original copies are "Beautiful midnight" (both versions) and - hopefully, because it hasnt gotten here yet ;) - WLRRR... the other CDs (even the "History teacher" and the other EPs) are in MP3s version, that I downloaded from KaZaa

you can join the Hub and share them with other people and you can also take what other people have

I was wondering if somehow we could get like the favorite favorite Matt's song ever of all the ones who are here... For example, why don't we chose one from each album (as Katouz has done) and have a poll to see which the favorite song of each album is for all people? Would it be very confusing or tiring?
